Chapter 131 - Chapter 131 Going back.

Thanks to the Ladies' help, the rumors were spread around the town.

With that done, Paul started to prepare for the journey, as they didn't plan on walking, but using the transportation spells to get to the River town as soon as possible.

His preparations mostly entailed making more magic circles, despite having more than enough to get them there; he didn't want to be unprepared, especially since all this time, he had never heard a word about the Dead breeder, so he assumed that the beast might still be in that area.

Despite becoming much stronger, he was certain that if they encountered the giant spider, he would not stand a chance in a fight against it.

He also didn't neglect his cultivation and managed to go up a level, while Fei Fei got much closer to the second stage; she managed to reach level 77 before the day ended.

That night, after the preparations were done, the two of them didn't sleep but cultivated.

Allowing both of them to level up again before morning.

Paul reached level 66 in both cultivations, while Fei Fei got to level 83.

-Are you sure you got everything you need?

Liu Lili asked before their departure.

-Yes, Aunty, I have everything, and even more in case of some unforeseen incident.

Paul answered, assuring his aunt, who was more nervous than he was.

Both the City lord's family and the Province lord's family came to see them off, without even trying to hide it.

-Be careful, you two, and come back as soon as you can.

Xiao Su said, with poorly hidden sadness in her voice.

She was not happy at all that her new cousin and her new older sister had to leave, so soon after they met.

-Don't worry, little sister, we will be back before you know it.

Fei Fei hugged her.

It took a while to say goodbye to everyone, but soon it was done, and the two of them entered the transportation circle.

-We'll see you in a few days.

Paul said and activated the spell.

A beam of blue light shot up, and soon both of them disappeared.

The last thing Paul noticed before being transported away was a person dressed in green robes, observing his mansion from the neighboring roof.

After the light disappeared, the person left immediately as if he or she was in a hurry.

Paul and Fei Fei were transported 40 kilometers away from Storm Waves City, which was His idea, as it was no secret that the range of this spell was at most fifty kilometers, making it easy to set a trap at the maximum distance.

As soon as they landed, he took out another magic circle and activated it, this time jumping a full 50 kilometers.

They repeated this three more times before stopping, as traveling in such a way had some side effects, like dizziness and nausea, so after a few jumps, you had to take a break.

-Do you think this is far enough for now?

Paul asked, hoping that they put enough distance between themselves and any eventual pursuit.

-It should be.

Even with stage ten cultivation powers, there is no way for anyone to travel this far in such a short time, unless they also have transportation circles at their disposal.

She answered.

-Either way we should go, there is no need to wait for them to catch up with us.

She added, before turning East and moving out, forcing him to catch up to her.

They walked for the next two hours before arriving at the White Cloud town.

The first things they noticed were a new moat surrounding the city and the spikes under its walls.

These were the ideas he shared with the mayor and the elders during the siege, and just like they promised, they did implement them as soon as they could.

The guards at the gate greeted him with a smile, remembering all his contributions during the beast attack.

They even wanted to notify the mayor about his arrival, but Paul stopped them.

-Unfortunately, I don't have the time right now.

I have urgent matters to attend to, and I'm just passing by, so if you could, send my regards to your captain, the mayor, and the elders.

He said, and the guards agreed, knowing that the mayor would most likely insist on having a banquet if he heard that Paul was in town.

This also increased the amount of respect they had for the young man, as it was not often they saw a man who would reject royal treatment over his duties.

The mayor and the captain were not too happy when they were notified an hour after Paul and Fei Fei left the town.

But they both understood that a man like Paul must have had his reasons, so they were not offended.

Not long after leaving the White Cloud town, they could once again use the transportation circles, which they did, making another two hundred kilometers in a short time.

-At this pace, we should reach the white falls town tomorrow.

Paul said as they walked again.

-That's good.

With any luck, we might be able to get on a boat to the River town there, saving us some time and a few spells.

Fei Fei smiled for the first time since she saw her scale at the auction house.

As the distance between them and the Storm Wave City increased, she could relax more.

Especially since there was no sign of anyone pursuing them, which assured them that the person after her didn't have transportation circles at their disposal.

This meant that any pursuit was at least two or three days behind them at the very least, which was an enormous advantage for them.

-If I remember correctly, the boat was going to the White Falls town every three days, so we might get lucky.

Paul said, trying to figure out the boat schedule, to which he didn't pay any attention, as he never planned on returning there.

For the rest of the day, they walked.

With no way to use the transportation circles anymore, and the night approaching, it was their only option.

Especially since they didn't want to jump during the night.

No matter how many beasts were wiped out during the siege and the hunt right after it was better not to take chances if it was not necessary.

-It's been a long time since we slept in a tent.

Fei Fei said as they set up camp for the night.

-True, and we were never truly alone since Anna was with us all the time.

Paul grinned.

-So what do you plan to do about it?

She asked with a seductive voice, starting to remove her combat gear.

-You will see, soon.

Andrew grinned, right before sweeping her into his arms and carrying her to the tent, which he had just finished setting up.

That night, they didn't cultivate as much as they normally did, since the previous one, they went at it till dawn.

This time, they decided to get some rest.

The next morning, right after eating breakfast and cultivating for a while, they used the transportation circles once again.

Three jumps later, they found themselves only about three kilometers from White Falls Town.

They ran the rest of the way, hoping to catch the boat, and the luck was on their side as the boat was leaving for the River Town within an hour.

Paul felt nostalgic as this was the same boat he, Mia, and Maya used to leave last time, getting away from the Dead Breeder.

During the trip, they used the time to cultivate and increase their levels as much as possible since they might need them in the wilderness.
