Calling the spirit of the dead just to see what caused their death sure isn't something to take lightly. It is severely exhausting.
What Maud had done was very difficult and nearly impossible. However, thanks to her connection to the power of death, she had not only seen what killed the man but even cracked the case wide open.
She saw the killer's face, or more like she saw the face the killer is currently wearing. She also heard what the killer had said, so she knew they were now staying in the same hotel as the killer.
This, in essence, is good for them.
After all, they now only have to find him, and the rest will take care of itself.
"How are you feeling?" Klaus asked, sitting beside Maud. She had just woken up, so he put aside the interview between the Dark Whisperer and Shadow Butcher to focus on her.
"I am fine," Maud said in a rather soft tone, showing the strain on her mind is still there. "The Death Spirit I called is a Peak Empyrean, so I overexerted my energy."
