Brooke slapped his hand away, "What brother?" she frowned, she had though she didn't hear right, but the anger in his eyes was impossible to misinterpret.
He balled his fists, "Don't act coy with me! My brother, David worked at Halton Inc. alongside you!" he spat out.
Her heart skipped a beat, how did he know about her former job?
She turned to him, "John?" who was that? She didn't recall any intern with that name.
"Oh wow! So you don't even recall the name of the man you had framed and murdered!" Aaron cursed at her, spiking up her memory.
Her hand dropped to her chest, "The guy from accounting…" she muttered under her breath, the one who had asked her out and was suddenly arrested for corporate fraud.
It had been so long that she had already forgotten his name.
