Brooke's eyes widened when her husband nodded in affirmation. She pictured Hannah's smiling face, the pure warmth and sincerity emanating from her expression. Vigorously, Brooke shook her head, dismissing the thought.
"You find it hard to believe? That Hannah could be plotting against us?" Thane asked, piercing through her thoughts.
"I don't see the motive behind her doing so, she doesn't seem like the kind of person to harbour Ill intent." Brooke defended, "She's been so kind to me..." Midway Brooke cut herself off.
She imagined her half sister on television and during her weekly live videos. No one would dare imagine that Cassie was a spoiled brat with a stuck up personality.
Was Hannah the same? Wearing a kind face just to have her lower her guard?
Brooke raised her head, "Why would she do that? Why would Gilbert betray you? I don't understand anything that's going on."
