Alexander Courtyard
The courtyard was unusually quiet today. The Kocho sisters had taken Saeko to the dungeon for training. Those with classes had gone to attend them. Tohru had taken Haruhime shopping, while Ais was busy learning swordsmanship with Zoro and Yasuo. For a moment, Alexander found himself accompanied only by a cow and a fox.
Alexander: "Four Queen."
Gugalanna: "Pass."
Kurama: "Bomb! Four aces!"
Alexander: "Pass."
Gugalanna: "Pass!"
"Four twos and two kings! I only have one card left!" Kurama exclaimed excitedly as he looked at Alexander and Gugalanna. After losing all morning, was he finally about to taste victory?
Seeing Kurama' smug expression, Alexander didn't know whether to laugh or sigh. Are you really a fox or just an overexcited dog? Aren't foxes supposed to be clever and cunning? How did this fox end up behaving like a foolish, overenthusiastic husky?
"Four threes—bomb," Alexander declared, calmly throwing down the cards.
Kurama froze. What? I lost again?
Watching his stunned expression, Alexander sighed in resignation. "You had four twos and two kings—you should have figured it out. Sigh, maybe this is my fault too. What a great fox you could have been, and now look at you—possessed by the spirit of a fool."
Alexander gazed at the sky at a poetic 45-degree angle, striking the pose of a lonely master. Kurama, however, was determined to recover his losses and was just about to propose another round when suddenly a piercing alarm broke through the air.
"Alert! Alert! Unknown shockwave detected in Area D. Possible descendant detected. All personnel evacuate immediately. Alert! Alert!"
The voice stunned Alexander. Unknown shockwave? Where?
Looking towards the horizon, he spotted it instantly—a massive spatial disturbance spreading across the distant sky.
No doubt about it. That's a spatial quake! Alexander immediately threw down his cards and sprinted towards the epicenter.
A spirit has descended! But which one?
Regardless of who it was, the descending spirit's spatial quake would surely wreak havoc on the city. Alexander didn't care about the material damage, but the resentment of the people because of damage, even death, could turn against the spirit.
Alexander knew that in the world of Date A Live, spirits were inherently good-hearted. The destruction they caused was never intentional. Still, if the world rejected them, Alexander would have to expend enormous effort to mend their broken hearts.
Boom!
The spacequake's force was already threatening to engulf the city below.
"Help! Someone help us! Why is there a spacequake here?"
"Did a spirit appear?!"
"Run! Help! Save us!"
"If I survive this, I swear I'll never badmouth spirits again! Waaaah!"
The panic and despair spread like wildfire. People were fleeing in all directions, yet Alexander arrived just in time.
With swift precision, Alexander pulled out Ea, his Anti-World Noble Phantasm. The triple-bladed weapon spun violently, unleashing winds powerful enough to tear the spatial disturbance apart.
"Look! It's Alexander!"
"He's here! He brought Ea with him!"
"Why are you still cracking jokes?! Run for your lives!"
"Relax! With Alexander here, what's there to fear?"
"Alexander! I want your baby!"
The crowd's terror shifted into hope and relief. To them, Alexander wasn't just a hero—he was a savior. His near-mythical abilities had already earned him the title of a god on countless online forums.
Alexander, however, paid no attention to the adulation. He had no interest in these strangers. His focus was entirely on the figure emerging from the heart of the spacequake.
As the chaotic distortion cleared, a small figure came into view—a charming girl in a purple princess dress paired with knightly armor. She held a sword and radiated an ethereal presence. Alexander immediately recognized her identity.
"Ding-dong! Congratulations, Master! You've encountered a descendant in the world of Date A Live! Reward: Angel: Sandalphon(*Massacre Ruler) ability!"
