Konori could be seen sitting at his desk in silence, staring back into the village, with a look of seriousness on his face. Suddenly, he would slam his fist onto the desk, cracking it on accident as he gets up to grab Kuro, who is seen to be standing beside him.
"Dammit Jack! I should've done something earlier! I'm glad I sent them the moment I saw that phenomenon in the sky. I can't see the academy since I'm too far from it. Why didn't anyone tell me?! Jack…why didn't you summon me…" He says with a look of frustration.
Konori would then look at a separate desk and would begin to glance at an ashtray full of old cigarettes and give a displeased look as footsteps could be heard getting closer to the room.
"Hey" Ren could be heard saying, walking into the room without Jack in her arms.
"Where's Jack?" Konori asks with a slight worry in his tone, as he turns to look back at Ren after picking up Kuro.
"He's been transported to the recovery unit. Doctors are keeping an extra eye on him in case any more further complications come up." Ren responds.
"Thank goodness." Konori says with a sigh of relief.
"Looks like you owe me one!" Ren insists with a look of confidence.
Konori remains to look unbothered in Ren's response as he brings his hands together.
"The academy…how bad is it? How did this start? Konori questions, as he begins to think about what's left of the academy.
Ren would only tilt her head down and nod her head in response.
"What is it?" Konori would ask, acknowledging Ren's sudden change in attitude.
"It's nothing. The academy is a little more than halfway destroyed. All I can hope is that Kisuka keeps it together and detains that kid." Ren responds, brushing off her previous act.
"So this fight started with another kid. I never knew they could be this irresponsible. I'll have a word with Jack soon enough." Konori says, with disappointment in his tone, blaming both Jack and Kyuya for the destruction of the academy.
"About your son, he told me that the button you gave him was destroyed during the battle. I reckon he was afraid to kill him. He's a kind child…the type to give second chances. Maybe that's why it's led to this." Ren would theorize, trying to come up with a reason as to why the fight lasted so long.
"You don't know that. He's responsible enough to know that there's many others that attend the academy. He wouldn't endanger the lives of those within the academy, in the means of a chance with someone that more than likely wants to kill him." Konori responds, calling out Ren's assumption on Jack's possible weakness.
"Just take the compliment. All I'm saying is your child is a kind soul. If he had just one weakness, it would be his kind heart. He even begged Kisuka not to kill him. Even said the kid was just upset and did all he could to knock some sense into him." Ren would reveal to Konori, complimenting Jack's kindness and still insisting it could be a weakness.
"Is that so?" Konori would ask.
"I'm afraid it is." Ren would respond.
"Thanks for telling me this, Ren." Konori would say.
"You are welcome! Don't forget, you still owe me." Ren would remind Konori, still insisting on a reward
"Yeah maybe I do." Konori responds, before handing her a mint lollipop.
"Take it." He says.
In response, Ren would keep an unsatisfied look
"A lollipop?! Are you forgetting that I just saved your son?" Ren asks, wanting more than just a simple lollipop.
"You weren't the only one at the academy. You had a mission just like everyone else did." Konori responds.
"Who does he think I am?? I'm not some child who needs candy to be productive!" Ren would say internally.
"You're right…fine I'll take it." Ren responds, taking the mint lollipop from Konori.
"Good…because I don't need your breath smelling like cigarettes around my sons." Konori would say, scolding Ren's smoking habits.
Ren would only carry a dissatisfied look on her face, putting the lollipop in her mouth as Konori walks out of the room with Kuro in his arms.
"Whatever." Ren says with a bothered tone.
Meanwhile, Bowa Boa And Yakuto would be seen roaming the academy grounds, evacuating kids and adults alike from the dangerous conditions of Tensen Academy.
"This way!" Yakuto yells, as he begins to evade a large piece of the academy building from above.
The crash sends debris scattering throughout the area. Soon, both Bowa and Yakuto would emerge unscathed, still focused on their main objective. In the distance, they would find Jack's teacher, Larro, in the destroyed hallway they would occupy.
"Hey! Bowa Boa! What are you doing here?! It's dangerous!" Larro yells out in worry.
"We can help ourselves. We need you to get out of here safely." Yakuto would insist.
"No. I'm not only a teacher but someone who's learned the arts of essence as a whole. Let me join you on this mission." Larro says with sweat dripping down his face.
"Just leave. We were sent by the founding general to partake in this mission. I request you to leave now." Bowa would command with authority.
This command would ultimately cause Larro to back down from his original convictions, taking in Bowa's words before accepting her request.
"Alright. In that case, I'll be going. Keep Jack safe if you haven't already." Larro says as he begins to run out of the area.
"Could that be it?" Bowa asks, remaining worried about the possibility of having not evacuated enough people.
"I think so…" Yakuto answers.
"What about Leina and Senra? We still haven't found them." Bowa would say, worried about the livelihood of Leina and Senra.
"It's possible they could've escaped while we were searching." Yakuto insists.
"Are you sure? Maybe we should do another sweep of the school." Bowa replies, insisting on another sweep.
"We did two sweeps already. We got everyone we could." Yakuto insists with a look that shows nothing short of confirmation.
"I hope you're right…So what now?" Bowa asks, turning to Yakuto for new directions.
"Come with me." Yakuto says, as he races off into the distance, making Bowa reach out for him as she tries to catch up.
"H-hey! Wait for me!" Bowa calls out.
Soon, Bowa and Yakuto could be seen walking up a set of stairs, leading to the roof of a building close to the academy. As they walk up, they take in the destruction of the academy itself.
"It's gone." Bowa says with a saddened tone.
"All of it is." Yakuto coldly responds.
"I've never seen this level of destruction in a school since my childhood…" Bowa says, taking in the moment.
"You've seen worse. What makes this so different?" Yakuto asks.
"The amount of innocent young children in danger that they never asked to be in." Boa would answer with a bothered look.
"Yeah. And now look at it, all of the kids' hopes along with the entire academy are destroyed." Yakuto responds, being as pessimistic as ever.
"No, that's not true. There's still room to rebuild." Bowa replies with a more positive outlook.
"You think you'll be saying that in the next few minutes? The entirety of that school is going to be gone, the longer they keep fighting." Yakuto says, adamant on the academy's destruction.
"This is ridiculous…" Bowa says with a bothered tone.
"I know how you feel. But we need to handle things first. You know just as well as I do. This is what we have ALL been fighting for." Yakuto says, in an attempt to get Bowa to toughen up.
"Then why don't we do something about it instead of sitting around and watching it happen?" Bowa questions.
"If that kid realizes we've got him in a corner, he'll likely self-destruct. I've seen that look in his eyes before. If he loses here, he'll lose everything, including his freedom. It's not worth the risk. Our best bet is clearing out any entrances to the academy to stop anyone from coming in." Yakuto suggests, as he places his hand onto her shoulder.
"How could you be so sure?" Bowa asks, not being convinced of Yakuto's inputs.
"Because I've seen things like this happen before. We can't risk it." Yakuto responds.
As he would finish saying this, Bowa would step forward and brush his hand off of her shoulder
"I'm going." she says.
"What?" Yakuto responds, almost baffled by her response.
"Not everything has the same ending. So don't act like you're always right about everything." Bowa says, turning around to stare back at Yakuto with a serious look
"Do what you want, but I'm going and you're not gonna stop me." She says.
With that, she would turn back around and jump off of the building, leaving Yakuto alone in his thoughts, looking visibly agitated.
"Shit…" Yakuto says, rubbing his face with a single hand.
"Hey, Bowa…wait up!" He says, as he begins to run after her.
As this would go on, Leina's unconscious body could be seen near lots of debris next to Donna's body.
"Wake up pathetic child." Akime's voice could be heard saying from within Leina.
Leina could then be seen kneeling before Akime, with a look of anger in her eyes.
"Why do you exist in my body? Pick someone else!" Leina yells, getting up to dash, swinging her katana in the direction of Akime.
"Pitiful." Akime insults, while being completely unfazed by Leina's ongoing attack.
Akime simply dodges, evades, and creates a bright red flaming sword to block incoming attacks as she's recovering from her initial evasions.
"I'll kill you, you piece of shit!" Leina yells, preparing for a new attack.
"Let this hatred guide you. This is all you will ever be. A pawn." Akime claims.
Leina would lift her katana with the blade facing downward, as she begins to call for a new assault.
"Moon style: Reign of Oblivion!" Leina calls out.
Leina's blade glows to a purple hue, before dozens of large purple sickle shaped projectiles appear all around Akime, and immediately hurdling toward her.
"An omnidirectional attack. I won't waste my time dodging this. Instead, I'll stop by manipulating the space around me" Akime says to herself.
Soon after, Akime would simply lift one hand, causing the space between her and these purple projectiles to blur and distort around her.
"Huh?? W-what's going on here?" Leina questions, having not seen such capabilities before.
But before Leina could get another thought out, Akime would snap her fingers, causing all projectiles to be completely sent in the opposite direction. As a result, Leina is left dodging and evading each and every projectile that comes her way, exploding as they land on the ground.
"What the hell was that?" Leina questions to herself.
As Leina begins to flip around to land onto the ground, she would be greeted by the presence of Akime once again, as the dust would settle.
"If this is all you have to show, you have no hope. You worthless dog." Akime insults, yawning and paying Leina no mind.
But as Leina hears this, it would only infuriate her more.
"What did you just call me, you demon?!" Leina furiously asks, as she prepares another attack, dashing and twirling towards Akime at high speeds.
"Moon style: Rising…" Leina says, ready to take a chop at Akime's neck, with Akime already taking the defense, crossing her arms in an X formed defensive stance.
"Another head on attack… how predictable" Akime says.
But unexpectedly, Leina would change techniques, and trajectory, catching Akime off guard before committing to the attack.
"Vengeful Disc!" Leina yells, as her glowing purple blade would connect with Akime's stomach, causing her to grit her teeth, as the impact sends her sliding back.
"I got her! I can win this! I can win my consciousness back!" Leina says within her mind as she charges head on at Akime.
"Moon style: Moon Crescent!" Leina calls out as she flips and throws a curving swing to Akime's neck with her glowing katana.
But as the blade gets closer, Akime would swiftly grab the blade of the katana before grabbing ahold of Leina's neck, lifting her into the air with only a single hand.
"You disappoint me. Your attacks are so well thought out as well. Yet they fail at every turn. How pitiful." Akime would further insult.
But as Leina remained held in the air, she would let go of her katana and reach for Akime's arm, grabbing it in the process. Suddenly Leina's arms and hands both get bigger for a moment as a flow of energy courses through her arms. Before Akime could further analyze, her and Leina's arms are suddenly blown apart in a small explosion. Blood pours from both fighters' missing limbs.
"How could I be so dumb? She focused the total flow of essence into her arms and used the energy as a force combustion tactic to get away from me. How resilient." Akime would analyze.
Leina yells out in pain as her arm pours out blood. Soon, Akime is seen walking over to Leina, with her overall body language screaming with menacing intent, and regrowing her arm as if it had already been there.
"You actually landed a successful attack on me. Congratulations. However, I didn't ask for you to destroy my clothing. And for that, you won't get to open those eyes of yours." Akime says, staring down at Leina, listening to her scream in pain.
Suddenly, six black pillars would slowly emerge from the water-like floor from behind Akime, and would all begin charging a yellow energy at the top of them, as if they were torches. Soon, an electric and plasma-like energy would all shoot from all six pillars simultaneously into the air, colliding into one.
"Prepare yourself. This is the Cosmic Demon Smite." Akime says, as the energy emitted from the pillars merge, the energy created would grow in size.
As this would continue on, Leina would soon come to her senses, slowly regrowing her arms in the process. But as she regrows them, she would realize what monstrosity is in front of her. Akime would raise one hand into the air, almost as if she had full control of this massive body of energy's projection.
"Getting hit by this will surely kill you. Fight for your life, brat." Akime would say with intent of nothing less than destructive.
"I need to move…I have to move. Get up…GET UP!" Leina yells to herself.
Soon after, Leinas hair would stand up and fluctuate, before Leina would speak again.
"Seishin gate, once more. Let our wrath flow within this very core of ours…" Leina says with a shaky voice.
"This blast is strong enough to take out half of your wretched village. So show me how you take this on!" Akime yells, throwing the same hand she had held up, down in the direction of Leina. Causing the massive ball of essence to be thrown in Leina's direction.
Her wrath would spike swiftly and create a large aura around her body, coating her in a light brown, smoky, plasma-like energy. As Leina stands back up, her veins would bulge in her body. She would then stare back at the massive force of essence and prepare something of her own.
"I need to make this count. There's nothing else I can do. Dammit! I'm going to see my family! Whatever it takes!" Leina says from within.
Soon, her wrathful essence would be absorbed into her katana, creating a brighter source of energy from within the blade, causing it to increase in size and almost turning into a great sword made of pure violet energy.
"That blade…it looks as if it can cut through the nature of essence in its entirety. Without a doubt, she doesn't know how to wield such power." Akime says, downplaying Leina's capabilities.
"Moon style: Epicentral Evisceration!" Leina yells, flying into the air, traveling head on into the force of essence, before impaling it with her glowing greatsword.
Leina grunts and struggles against this force and begins to be pushed back.
"So is that what you plan on doing? Bold kid you are." Akime says.
For a while, Leina would struggle with Akime's attack. Her grip would tighten on her greatsword, before she forces more power into the sword itself, allowing her to gain more leverage. Soon, Leinas aura would turn red.
"AAAAAHHH YOU HAVE NO CONTROL!" Leina yells as blood would mysteriously and visibly pour from her ears, and from under her mask.
"She's destroying her body and mana just to allow herself to create more essence to stop my attack. If this goes on, she will surely die with no exception." Akime would say, revealing just what this energy Leina has surrounding herself with.
Leina's eyes would become engulfed in a light brown flame, as she would let out a loud yell. In an instant, Akime's attack would turn into a large mass of gold dust particles.
"W-what? It…disappeared…" Leina says before losing consciousness, descending from the air and falling to the ground.
"There was no need to carry my attack any longer. Her strength would have destroyed it eventually. I will admit, I'm but a fraction of impressed from what this brat has showcased. Maybe you are strong after all…" Akime says with a grin, being slightly impressed with Leina's willpower.
Somewhere else, Jack could be seen laying down in a bed, hooked up to multiple medical devices from within the Founders Mansion.
"Jack…Jack…Jack…JACK!" Leinas voice could be heard saying, causing Jack to suddenly wake up.
"Where am I?" Jack wonders, checking his surroundings.
"Woah slow down there knucklehead. Your dads got you." Konori says, sitting beside Jack, with Kuro in his lap.
"What happened? Is everyone okay?" Jack says worryingly.
"Of course! Bowa, Yakuto, and Kisuka are all at the Academy. They're making sure everyone's safe." Konori replies.
"What about…nevermind." Jack would say, not wanting to speak too much.
"You should really lay down. You're in no condition to be moving around." Konori would imply.
"I'm okay…I'm just thirsty." Jack insists.
"Oh! Well it's about time I get you some water then. I'll be back. Sit tight." Konori would say with a smile as he gets up and walks out of the room, leaving Kuro in the room.
"I need to save Leina. Leina needs me and so does Kyuya. I'm sorry dad, but I'm not going to sit around and wait for things to get worse. We need to go while we still can." Jack says, with conviction, taking off the medical devices and putting his shirt on.
"Yeah! Bad guys go BOOM!" Kuro says in response to Jack's selflessness
"That's right! Are you with me brother?" Jack questions with excitement, with Kuro nodding in return and climbing on his back.
"Alright! Now let's go save the academy!" Jack says with a smile.
Meanwhile, Leina could be seen still unconscious on the ground but soon, Senra could be seen running over to her, to pick her up.
"LEINA! Thank goodness you're okay! We need to leave now." Senra says as she begins to drag Leina from underneath her arms.
Donna's body begins to move as she slowly regains consciousness, lifting her head and glancing at Senra, carrying Leina away from danger.
"You…stop. You're not getting out of here." Donna says, as she begins to stand up and take her whip out.
"Get lost Donna. You're old news." Senra says in response, disregarding Donna's hostility
Donna begins to walk over to Senra and nearly loses her balance multiple times, resulting in her stabbing her sword into the ground for balance.
"I'll take you and your sister out. Just you wait…" Donna threatens.
"Wait for what? For you to fall? You should go sit down before I make you need a new pair of legs." Senra responds, insulting Donna's attempts at maintaining her balance.
Donna would take her sword out of the ground before slowly walking away.
"This…isn't over…" Donna says, before turning back around and walking away.
"Jerk." Senra says in contrast.
"Hey! What happened here?" Jack's voice could be heard saying from the distance
"Huh? Jack?" Senra questions before she sees Jack in the distance with Kuro on his back.
"Jack!" Senra yells in surprise, shocked to see him here in this environment.
Jack runs over to analyze Leina's condition.
"What happened to her?"
"I don't know yet. I just got here but she looks fine. She's still alive, but she's not awake. We need to get her out of here." Senra insists.
"She needs you now, Senra. I need to stop Kyuya. He's going to destroy what's left of the academy if I don't." Jack responds.
"Are you sure you want to do that? You look a little beat up." Senra comments.
"I need to. Just go. Please keep her safe, Senra." Jack would tell Senra, with a soft tone.
"Don't worry, I will." Senra responds.
Jack would smile in response as Senra would be seen walking away, carrying Leina over her shoulder.
Meanwhile, Kisuka is seen dodging multiple green lightning-like attacks from Kyuya.
"Gosh I really don't want to harm a kid. I guess I'll keep stalling him until he runs out of energy. But I'm afraid that at this rate, the entire academy is finished." Kisuka would tell himself
"STOP WASTING MY TIME AND DIE" Kyuya says, fully enraged, before throwing a large green ball of focused and compressed essence in his direction.
Kisuka dodges this attack, following up with him blocking flurries of attacks. Notably, each attack would cause a dark liquid to spill out onto Kisuka's skin.
"It's about time you stop doing this. You're getting tar on me. How about we talk instead of fight. I really don't want to hurt a kid. You'll lose your energy eventually." Kisuka says.
Kyuya in response would place both hands onto the ground and would contaminate it with large amounts of oil. Soon, eight large balls of oil would emerge from the ground before floating above the surface, exploding them all over the battlefield covering everything it reaches.
"Ah what the hell." Kisuka says as he begins to dodge the black oil particles.
But as he fixated on dodging, Kyuya would see an opening, allowing him to strike Kisuka in the back, splashing more oil onto him and sending him back.
"What the hell is going on? I should've been able to dodge all of your attacks, regardless of you using your special abilities." Kisuka says, confused about his own abilities.
Kyuya would grin before lifting his palm to glance back at it.
"It's kicking in isn't it?" Kyuya would ask.
"Ah so that's it. Drain me of my essence at alarming rates to slow me down and stop me from using any arts of essence." Kisuka would say, finally understanding one of the abilities of Kyuya.
"Now you get it." Kyuya responds.
"How cheap of you. I'd expect nothing less from a child." Kisuka says, before getting into stance once again.
Yakuto and Bowa both arrive at the battlefield, to see Kisuka in bad shape, with most of stamina completely drained.
"Kisuka. We're here! Let us handle this, you look pretty beat up. Allow us to assist." Yakuto would insist.
"No! You can't. You know what can happen if we allow that to happen. Let me handle it." Kisuka responds, shutting down Yakuto's request.
"Look at you. You look tired! Let us help." Bowa would request defiantly.
"I'm sorry but I can't…I must use the seishin gate. Even if it's a risk. I won't risk losing the rest of this academy." Kisuka says in response to Bowa.
Unfortunately for Kisuka, Kyuya would give no time for him to open his seishin gate, and detonates the black oil on Kisuka's body, causing large explosions on him and throughout the entire area.
"KISUKA!" Yakuto & Bowa both yell out simultaneously, clearly worried for his well being at this moment.
Soon, a huge wave of wind would blow all dust and debris away from the area. to both Bowa and Yakuto's shock, Kyuya would be seen standing over Kisuka's unmoving body with a charged up volatile blast in point blank range.
"Move any closer and he's dead." Kyuya threatens, taking control of the entire situation as a whole.
"How could you do something like this? We gave you a place to learn and grow." Bowa says, questioning the morality of Kyuya's choices.
"You don't know a single thing about me…" Kyuya responds.
"We know enough to know that what you're doing is wrong." Yakuto interjects.
"Then I'll die knowing that I fought for my beliefs alone." Kyuya replies.
"No one's going to die here!" Bowa yells.
"Are you sure about that?" Kyuya asks, charging this volatile blast he holds with green electrical essence.
"Oh I'm sure. Because I'm not going to stand around and watch you kill my brother!" Yakuto yells with a scowl.
But as Yakuto gets ready to take Kyuya on, Kisuka would gesture for Yakuto to stop, stopping him before he could do anything.
"Wait." Kisuka grunts.
"Brother…" Yakuto would mutter in shock.
"We can make a deal…for all of us. We can help you." Kisuka says in an attempt to negotiate.
"I'm not here to make any deals with anyone!" Kyuya yells, rejecting Kisuka's offering.
"Then what are you doing this for? What do you gain?" Kisuka questions, not understanding the reasoning for Kyuya's actions.
"I'm doing this to gain power over my clan. But more importantly, I'm doing this for me." Kyuya responds.
"Is there anything else you want to say before I kill you?" Kyuya asks but it only makes Kisuka chuckle in response.
"Here he comes…" Kisuka says in response, hinting at something more.
"And where is this 'he' you speak of?" Kyuya questions.
"Right here!" Jack responds, kicking him hard in the stomach, almost as if he instantly appeared without Kyuya having a chance to track him,
This kick would severely wind him, sending him crashing back and out of the area. Jack would flip and land on his feet. His hair and clothing blows in the wind, with Kuro wrapping himself around Jack's back.
"Sorry we're late." Jack would say, after saving Kisuka in front of both Bowa and Yakuto.
Bowa would stand shocked from Jack's appearance and attack, while also noticing a visible blue smoke coming from his presence.
"That speed! Jack…even I couldn't track that. He hasn't even opened his seishin gate yet! Is this how far Konori's sons have come? It even seems that both Kuro and Jack are working together in some way. How astonishing." Bowa says to herself in sheer amazement.
"Jack, you're in no condition to fight, Jack. You were just injured. How could you even stand now?" Yakuto asks.
Jack turns to glance at Yakuto with a grin before giving his response.
"You can ask Kuro about that." He says, before turning back to look in the direction of Kyuya.
"You guys go ahead. Me and Kuro are the only ones that can stop him without him harming or destroying anything or anyone else." Jack insists.
"Are you sure?" Yakuto asks.
"Positive" Jack responds.
"Very well then. In that case we'll be watching from afar in case anything happens." Yakuto replies, dashing over to Kisuka and rushing out of the area with Bowa Boa.
Kyuya would soon appear from the area he was kicked to, walking and staring back at Jack with an angered look.
"So you've returned. Then I'll just put you down again." Kyuya threatens.
Jack throws his fist into his palm with a battle hungry smile.
"I think it's time we finish what you started Kyuya."
Kyuya in response would place his hand out and prepare an attack.
"Parasitic Burst Gallery." He chants.
"Thunderclap: Bolt Surge!" Jack yells out, placing both hands out in the direction of Kyuya, summoning dozens of blue electric bolts to combat the volatile burst of bombs casted by Kyuya.
The area would become a light show, from the large explosions carried out by both fighters.
"I need to end this fight quickly. He's still a little stronger than me in that form. But I can't open the seishin gate yet. That black liquid will drain my essence if it gets on me. If that happens, opening the seishin gate is going to be useless." Jack would say, jumping back to gain more distance.
"Kuro, close your eyes and shield yourself." Jack ushers.
"Okay." Kuro responds, covering his face and arms with his sleeves, before shutting his eyes.
Jack would take a deep breath, calming himself down to the core before closing his eyes himself.
Kyuya would charge in with a head on attack, throwing a fist at the head of Jack.
"Volatile Fist!" Kyuya chants, coating his fist in oil before taking a swing, but Jack swiftly moves out of the way, and delivers a counter, uppercutting him on the chin.
"What?! I don't remember him being able to react that fast!" Kyuya comments.
Jack would follow up with a kick to the face. Kyuya would respond by creating knives made of his slick oil before throwing flurries of attacks, all of which would be swiftly dodged and evaded.
In the distance, Yakuto would stand watching the fight with a proud smile.
"I knew he could do this. It seems like he does a bit better when he's under pressure. Those two really make a good brotherly duo. Together, they can beat him. I'm sure of it." Yakuto says within his mind.
Meanwhile, the fight would continue with Jack evading Kyuya's knives.
"Are you going to keep wasting my time dodging?! DO SOMETHING!" Kyuya yells out before swinging the blade of his knife near the face of Jack.
Jack slowly opens his eyes to reveal the color of them to be glowing blue. In this, he would manage to evade the attack and sideswipe Kyuya with a follow-up kick. Notably, a deep slash would manifest itself across Jack's cheek, causing him to grit his teeth in response. Kuro would curiously look up at the face of his older brother, to see the blood running down his face.
"Jack…you're bleeding!" He says in shock.
"He…hurt you…" Kuro would say, seeing his brother bleed for the first time.
This moment nearly causing something to trigger inside of the young Kuro, before Jack snaps him out of it.
"It's okay Kuro, I'm okay." Jack says, looking back at Kuro with a smile.
But Kyuya instantly shuts this moment down with a hard punch to Jack's gut, sending him crashing back and knocking Kuro off of him, and into the air. With that Kyuya would take aim at Kuro, preparing to blast Kuro out of the air.
"I can save him! Thunderclap: Windbreaker!" Jack calls out to himself, before traveling to Kuro in an instant and wrapping him in his arms.
"Good. Now I have you where I want you, Jack." Kyuya says, using Kuro as bait.
"Shit." Jack says before getting shot at by Kyuya.
But to Jack's surprise, Kuro would spread his arms across from each other, holding his palms out and creating a bubble shield that protects Jack from the blast. This would only cause Kyuya to groan in frustration.
"I shouldn't have taken you lightly. That cut you gave me is slowly draining my current level of essence. I'll stop holding back now if that's what you'd like." Jack says, getting ready to take this more seriously.
"Regardless, I'll still kill you!" Kyuya yells.
"Kuro, I need your strength." Jack would call out.
In response, Kuro would place both of his palms on Jack's shoulders. Soon, blue smoke would flow from underneath his palms. As a result, Jack's essence would steam from his body once again.
"Parasitic Omni Lashes!" Kyuya calls out.
Soon, steaming whip-like appendages would emerge from the surrounding area created by Kyuya's slick oil. These appendages thrash violently, destroying anything in their way. Jack would manage to dodge all of these tendrils, and find himself in the air. With that, Kyuya would chuckle before calling upon his next attack.
"Parasitic Piecing Spiral!" He calls out.
A large black rod protrudes from the ground, in an attempt to impale Jack.
"Thunderclap Windbreaker." Jack calmly chants, causing him to immediately evade Kyuya's attack before landing on the ground to commit a follow up attack.
"What?" Kyuya says, not being able to change his focus so quickly.
"Full charge: Thunderclap Windbreaker!" Jack calmly calls out, before instantly appearing, slamming his fist onto the face of Kyuya, sending him dozens of feet away, causing him to crash and land on his hands and knees.
"Damn you! Damn it all! You and this academy can go to hell!" Kyuya says, as he begins to fly into the air to charge his wrathful essence into one final attack.
"Dammit! I didn't want this!" Jack says in this dire situation.
"Get ready Kuro. Because this is where we try our hardest. SEISHIN GATE OPEN." Jack calls out, his aura would grow stronger, and larger from the sheer amount of power he would now hold from the help of Kuro.
"Impossible! His power! He's even stronger than Donna! I have to get the one up on him! I won't let him win!" Kyuya says, realizing now that he's outmatched.
Kyuya would gather all the oil from the surrounding fight and use it to power up his final attack even more. Before long, a giant green and black ball of plasma like essence would engulf the skyline above the academy.
"PARASITIC DEATH CRASH!" Kyuya yells out, before casting the huge and heavy ball of destructive energy to the remainder of the academy and his opponents.
"MAXIMUM OUTPUT: THUNDER GOD WRATH!" Jack yells out, spreading his legs apart and raising both hands into air.
Immediately after, three massive bolts of lightning would be forced from the clouds, striking the huge green ball of energy created by Kyuya, while simultaneously, another three massive electric bolts would shoot from the ground and do the exact same thing. Both fighters would struggle trying to best each other in sheer strength.
"I'm going to make you understand what it truly means to have a life worth living. Even if it means breaking every bone in your body!" Jack says.
"Shut up!" Kyuya yells.
"You know it's the truth! I won't stop! You're my friend Kyuya. You may not like it but I'm here to save you from yourself!" Jack would say, trying to help Kyuya reach his senses.
"I TOLD YOU WHY I'M DOING THIS JACK! THIS IS FOR MY CLAN! NOT YOU!" Kyuya yells, further concentrating his essence.
"LET ME HELP YOU! WE DON'T HAVE TO KILL EACH OTHER! BUT I WONT LET YOU PUT ANYONE ELSE IN DANGER!" Jack yells back.
"I CAN'T STOP THIS! YOU KNOW I CANT!" Kyuya yells, as his hands become engulfed in green electricity.
"THEN I'LL DO WHATEVER IT TAKES TO MAKE YOU STOP. EVEN IF IT MEANS PUTTING YOU IN UNIMAGINABLE PAIN!" Jack says in response.
Jack would begin to let out a loud battle cry. As his veins would begin to bulge in his body, Jack would reach a new level, slightly ascending in strength. Soon, his eyes would lose their pupils, becoming strictly white, with Jack pushing everything he has, out of himself.
"HAAAAAAH!" Jack screams out, for a destined battle cry, before Kyuya's massive ball of green destructive essence, would be overpowered and pierced by his lightning.
"HOW?! THIS IS UNREAL!" Kyuya says in pure denial, as his technique gets obliterated from the inside out, causing a massive explosion across the skyline, pushing clouds apart for dozens of miles apart.
As a result, Kyuya would fall from the sky, returning to his base form, from the amount of essence he had exhausted. Jack would be out of breath but satisfied with this outcome, with Kuro laughing in joy. Yakuto would notice a fairly large sized explosion in the distance, prompting him to leave the area to check it out. But soon, Kyuya would stand back up again and stare back at Jack.
"It looks like I was too weak to handle you. I lost…you can kill me." Kyuya says.
"That's not what I'm here to do. I'm here to make sure that everyone stays safe, and help you make the Touta clan a better clan." Jack responds.
In the distance, a man in a trench coat would walk near the Academy out of sight.
"The destruction I caused, it was because I wanted to prove myself. The truth is, I hate myself for being so weak. I wish I could've been strong enough to change my clan but I wasn't. And because of that, I lost everyone I loved. Tell me Jack, is this what life is? Is this what life is supposed to be? War?" Kyuya asks, questioning Jack's philosophy.
"Not at all. War is caused by hate. But when there's war, there's justice. Justice will always be served. That's why I want to be a hero. That's why I'm going to defend our home with everything I've got! There's not one thing I hate about anyone I've ever met before, including you. All I see is someone that's trying to get back on their feet. You tried killing me multiple times and destroyed most of the academy. Most people would hate you for that, but I don't. Because I know that you're really a good person inside. But you're afraid of being the way you're supposed to be because of the way the world has treated you. You're a good person Kyuya. We just need to try. Okay?" Jack would say.
In response, Kyuya would give a soft delightful smile.
"Looks like I was wrong about you Jack. It feels like I owe you the world. After all, you were totally right about me…and I'm sorry. Understand now that what I did was a mistake that I will never make again. Thank you for being my first ever friend. Thank you, for everything" Kyuya would say in response, still smiling delightfully.
But as both friends would smile back at each other, a red beam of light would pierce the chest of Kyuya, splattering blood across Jack's face.
Kyuya would immediately fall to the ground, losing consciousness as Jack's smile would fade to absolute shock and bewilderment. In the distance the same man in the trench coat from afar, is seen holding his hands together in place, pointed in the direction of Kyuya.
"Heh, got 'em." The suspicious man says.
As Jack's traumatized face would slowly look down to see Kyuya's rapidly bleeding body, he would scream the name of his new made friend for what seems to be the very last time.
