"Brother, surely you jest!" Prince Zanac shouted out as fast as he could, standing to show his seriousness.
Though he stood, Zanac looked no more threatening than a pudgy teen with no training. He was certainly nothing by comparison to his elder brother Barbro. A fate that was so clear to all in the room, even the dung for brains Barbro was capable of seeing it clear as day, and so with a wild grin he began.
"Of course not. What would someone like you know of it? I'm taller, stronger, and not to mention a fair deal better looking than you, Zanac." His words sharpened the blade… "Unlike me brother, you're short, fat, and ugly even by commoner standards. What makes you think such a woman would come and deliver herself so openly, and readily… to you." He snickered. "This woman has heard of me and naturally comes to seek me out. Face it, you've already lost this battle brother."
The two brothers continued to go back and forth for a few minutes, though neither side gave way. Barbro thought Zanac was trying to claim such a beautiful woman for himself, while Zanac just wanted his brother to stop dragging their family name through the mud.
The third child of the king was Princess Renner, her stunning beauty clear for all to see, Night Silver saw something else though, and it piqued her interest. However, she chose to remain quiet about that for now, instead focusing on the young mithril armored warrior guarding said princess. She smiled.
"It seems that my presence has revealed more than a few things about your family, and those who share their company, Ramram."
"Forgive me, my son Barbro hasn't been well informed on matters about yourself, Mother Nature." King Ramposa the third fell to his knees and bowed, quickly turning to a prayer.
"WHAT?! Father, you can't be serious. How can you rebuke me, your eldest son? When this toad of a man I wretch to call brother is lusting after such a woman."
"You have no idea who that woman is, do you, dear brother?" Renner spoke for the first time.
"She's breasts. What else is there to worry about…" Barbro found himself ensnared within vines the moment he spoke those words. "Huh? What?"
The suddenness of the situation was such that no one could act, even if they could have, they wouldn't have. That's just how terrifyingly mighty she was. Zanac looked in a worried shock, sweating profusely. Renner only watched, waiting to see how her brother would die. King Ramposa wasn't moving, remaining in his current reverent posture… though he truly hoped nothing bad would happen.
"Let me get this straight, Ramram… You have your eldest remain ignorant of me, the one with birthright to the throne? And now he dares to humiliate me with such drivel."
"Please accept my apologies, Goddess. I have no excuse." Ramposa pleaded with worry.
"I'll give you two chances to spare his life."
"Thank you-"
"Ah, no, not you. Your second born, Zanac, care to explain to your ignorant brother who I am?"
What Zanac saw was not just a pair of exposed breasts, rather he saw the embodiment of nature's power in living form staring back at him.
"You are the 7th great god of the Slane Theocracy's founding. The Elven Guardian Mother. Mother Nature. Queen of Tus Nadair, the nation of incomparable might. The slayer of the Emperor Dragon in single combat. And the reason all of us are still free to live to this day…"
"That's a good amount of knowledge, it's good you're informed. Though you did miss something. Do you know it?"
"I may have, but I am too scared to say it." Night Silver waved him on. "Demon Goddess."
"Ah, yes… the one those idiots decided to try giving me. I suppose it counts though it's not what I was looking for."
"Then I know not of it. Please have mercy upon me."
"No, that's fine dear child, you're already far better than that idiot brother of yours. But still not enough to save his life. Perhaps your sister knows the one you were missing." She smiled, with a kind, and loving expression…
"I do know it." Renner smiled, setting her cup down, gently, and slowly stood up. "Your name, the one no living being should ever forget… and the one they should revere above all." She spoke with a youthful tone and a proper smile as she slowly and gracefully approached Night Silver without fear… Instead there was love in her eyes. "Night Silver Druid, the All-Mother."
"You're a good child. Very well, I revoke Barbro's right to rule, but I will not claim his life. Despite the insufferable ignorance he possesses, his little sister has saved it."
Night Silver released her hold on Barbro, the vines relaxing, and returning to their regular form, a simple rose in a nearby vase. Then stroked Renner's cheek with a gentle caress.
"Tell me, my child, is there anything you desire, ask it of me."
Renner's cheek flushed a little, the overwhelming feeling of motherly love enveloping her in its warm embrace. "Um, I've heard tale that those who feed upon their mother's bosom grow stronger. Is it true?"
"Yes, it is very much true. Do you wish to drink?" Night Silver giggled with a warm smile, then kissed Renner's head.
"I've so much I'd like to talk with you about, Mother. Will you come with me to the garden? My guard will come with me too, is that alright?"
"Of course it is. Let's go see this garden in person. I'm looking forward to seeing some nature once more, all this stone is stuffy."
"Pfft, I just know you'll love it. There's so many pretty flowers. Isn't that right, Climb?"
"Huh, oh yes milady, but none compare to the finest flower of them all."
"Oh my, Climb, so bold."
"Ah, that's right, I was worried he might die under my pressure, so I cast a spell that would allow him to bear it. It has a side effect, you just witnessed."
The two ladies giggled, knowing what the other was thinking.
"You two have fun. Climb, make sure nothing befalls them." Ramposa ordered as he stood back to his feet with a helping hand from Gazef.
"Yes, your majesty!"
"Awe, he's adorable." Night Silver smirked towards Ramposa, with a glint in her eye. He replied with a sigh and a shake of the head. "Good, I'll have some fun today."
