The door swung open as the guards pushed little Han out. He hissed in pain from the force, but his tired eyes widened as he saw the outside for the first time after a year in a dark, small cell.
He held his breath, looking around. Bright sunlight was everywhere, and the cold air blowing from the castle windows played with his long, golden hair.
The sound of birds, which his ears had missed so dearly, made him want to run and feel everything again. His eyes fell on the garden, which was full of colorful flowers. Maids walked and laughed as they did their work. All of it made his little heart burst with excitement, yet at the same time, with sadness.

"Where do you think you're going!" the guard said in a rough voice, snapping Han back to the reality of his new life.
He was in this world without anyone by his side after the queen had killed his parents and locked him up for a whole year.
This reality once again took the bright light from his eyes, and the coldness in his chest returned.
He nodded as the guard ordered him to follow, and he walked obediently behind them, his little eyes still looking out the windows as they went. Would this be the last time he would see this view?
They walked for ten minutes, which felt fast for Han, before he stood in front of the same door—the door that led to the same room where his whole life had ended, the same room where his parents were killed.
How cruel of the queen to call for him in this room, as if she knew how much pain he would feel stepping back inside.
As the door opened wide, he lifted his eyes, seeing the queen sitting on her throne with the same annoying smile on her red lips.
She crossed one leg over the other, moving her fingers as she gestured for him to take more steps toward her.
He looked at her, his heart burning with rage as the guards pushed him forward to the foot of the throne's steps.
They forced him to kneel as she stood from her throne and walked toward him.
As the queen stood before him, she smirked. "Oh my? Isn't that my little Han! Didn't you miss me? It's been a year after all! You haven't changed… or perhaps you've become even worse?" She laughed as Han's angry eyes met hers, a look of pure hatred filling them.
"Ah, that look~ Isn't it beautiful!" she said. "I love seeing you look at me like this, knowing you have no power to do anything. I could kill you right here, right now!" she said with an icy tone, pulling his hair tightly to force him to look at her.
"I'm too generous to not kill you and keep you alive," she continued. "But I've become so bored of keeping a useless thing like you here! So I want to make you useful for me."
She let go of his hair and took a handkerchief from her maid, wiping her hand as if she had touched something dirty. "I will make you my son's servant!" she declared, causing Han's eyes to widen in shock.
I will never serve anyone!" he said angrily, but he gasped in pain as a burning sensation erupted from his life core. His eyes shot up to her, seeing her smiling.
"Oh, baby, this isn't a request; it's an order! And you could never refuse any order coming from me, or else..." As she said this,
Han immediately screamed, his small body shaking with pain.
He looked down, his eyes widening in horror as he saw his life core had cracked slightly. He looked back at her with fear as she laughed loudly, enjoying the sight of his pain.
"That's nothing compared to what I can actually do! And since I have your power, I can easily control your life core!" she said with her poisonous words.
Han's body collapsed, and he curled into himself, tears welling in his eyes. His breaths were heavy; the pain from his cracking life core was worse than being stabbed in the heart. He hugged his body, trying to endure the pain.
He looked at her as she grew annoyed by how weak he was. "That's not fun at all. Guards, take him away."
That was the last thing Han heard before his eyes closed and he fell unconscious from the pain.
