In New York, time passed quickly. There were so many places Christian could visit with Anastasia that, even after a week, it still felt like there were more places they hadn't seen than places they had.
Today, they had taken a boat out onto the water, giving Christian a chance to see Manhattan from a different perspective. The Statue of Liberty stood in the distance, surrounded by the vast stretch of water and the skyline of the city behind it.
It was an interesting experience, yet more than the scenery, Christian found himself thinking about something else.
"You know? Spending time here, it really feels as if the world hasn't changed at all, and everything about Essence was a lie," he suddenly said.
