Unlike how she had behaved in front of Shae, Iris had shown remarkable restraint before Anastasia. Yet, judging from her expression now, it was clear she didn't appreciate his interactions with her one bit.
Christian noticed her subtle hints and the quiet flickers of emotion in her artificial eyes, but he chose not to comment. Instead, he focused on the more pressing matter at hand.
It was unacceptable to him that he didn't yet understand the full extent of her capabilities. So, the real examination began.
He didn't dismantle Iris this time — he didn't have the heart to take apart her newly enhanced form — but he still subjected her to every kind of scan and diagnostic he could run.
