Chapter 57 - HIS ANGER

"What do you mean?" Lucian asked the creature with a deep frown, already knowing what it meant but wanted it to say it again.

"The girl left. The Queen let her," Ian said again, and in a blink of an eye, he vanished into thin air.

He appeared in his step mother's chamber, who was discussing with Delcrov, the King frowned,

"You can't barge in like that, Lucian," Delcrov said, he was already aware of Lucian's ability to teleport and he had thought it to be one of his vampire's abilities but it wasn't and only Lucian knew.

"Pardon me father but I am no longer a child and neither should you be ashamed if I caught the both of you doing anything natural," Lucian said with a grin on her face. Delcrov frown deepen while Lucia's eyes widen before her face redden.

"What exactly are you here for?" Delcrov asked, not liking how his son interrupted his time with his wife,

"I came to ask dear mother, why she sent my wife away?" He said with a frown now on his face,

"Oh, she told me she wanted to visit her mother and I thought since Rosaline could go, why not her," Lucia explained, "And you have nothing to worry about, I sent Aurora with her and also a guard to protect them,"

"That won't do mother," Lucian spoke and they could hear the coldness in his words even if he was smiling, "I didn't permit her to leave this mansion,"

"It's okay son, Lucia sent our best guard with them," Delcrov said.

"No father, you don't worry, I will bring her back right now,"

"Why don't you wait till morning, it's already late, she must be asleep now," Lucia said but Lucian grinned.

"Now is perfect," with that he vanished once again,

Sabrina laid down on her bed, facing the ceiling. Aurora had been given a room, so was the guard too, she didn't know why she was unable to sleep and it was already very late, she could here the crickets singing,

She sat up and stood in front of her window, staring up at the stars,

"Unable to sleep?" She heard a voice and didn't need to turn as she knew who it belonged to.

"Why are you here?" She asked still not turning as she continued staring at the stars. She had half expected him to come for her but she would stand her ground and wouldn't let him take her away from here,

"I should be the one asking you that," he replied and that's when Sabrina turned to look at him, she couldn't see his face well as the room was dark but if she did, she'd know that he's not happy with her leaving home,

"Rosaline could go visit her parent, why can't I?" Sabrina asked with a frown on her face,

"I am not up for your nonsense tonight, Sabrina, we are heading home now-"

"No we aren't," she interrupted as she turned away,

In a swift moment, Lucian had her on her bed, pinned. He glared at her and she gulped,

"You are getting me really angry now, sprout. Don't test my patience, I really don't have much left anymore," Lucian spoke coldly, scaring Sabrina out of her wit.

"Get off me, Lucian," Sabrina said but Lucian made no move to get up,

"You will be leaving with me or I'm not going anywhere, you choose one?" He said and stared into her eyes, now that she could see his face, she felt cold air run down her spine, he looked scary.

"Please Lucian I will like to stay with my mother for sometime," Sabrina now started pleading, Lucian was quiet for sometime, "Please, just five days? And I will come home,"

"Why do you want to stay away from me?" Lucian asked as his finger trail down her jawline,

"I don't..." She trailed on her words.

"Fine, you can stay," Lucian sighed as he got off her, "But only three days," he completed.

"Three days? Why can't I stay for five days, Rosaline stayed for more than that," Sabrina complained.

"Will you stay for three days or go back to the mansion now?" Lucian asked with a serious look on his face. He wasn't happy that she left home because that could put her in danger as there is a mermaid sorceress looking for her along with witches and they are other creatures out there, he needed to make sure she doesn't get harmed.

"Alright," Sabrina agreed with a frown, then they were quiet again.

Lucian moved close to her, he cupped her cheeks in his hands and kissed her on the forehead for a long time, then he stepped back and disappeared, Sabrina stared at the spot he stood before vanishing, suddenly she felt her heart ache, hurt. Why does she feel that way? She doesn't love him, she got married to him for this baby, nothing more, she thought to herself as she climbed the bed and closed her eyes to only dream about them,
