When Bernard woke up, he saw that young doctor, but he thought the doctor would stay for a long time. Unexpectedly, he was scared off by those reporters.
Now that he's awake, he's already met with wave after wave of journalists wanting to interview him. In the end, he can only have his parents fend off those reporters. He just woke up and wants to enjoy the sunlight he missed in the last two years.
Currently, Bernard's skin and muscles show severe atrophy, and even his hands and feet are completely unfit for walking.
And when he first started speaking, he was somewhat unresponsive, now he's slowly getting the feel of talking.
Looking at his hands and feet and then looking at those rusty racing cars in the distance, Bernard realizes that he missed too much these past two years.
Of course, having almost died once, he actually appreciates the importance of life even more.
