Chapter 5 - Chapter 5 Poisoning

"Well…" For a moment, Wu Tian had much to consider. Looking at her private photos without her consent seems somewhat inappropriate.

But Wu Tian's resolve was as firm as a rock, not easily swayed.

"Daddy, look." Before Wu Tian could respond, Gugu had already opened the phone's photo gallery and showed it to him.

Qin Yuhan had two cell phones: one for work and one for leisure. This was her leisure phone, which Gugu also frequently used as a toy.

He looked at the album. It showed the kitchen, where Qin Yuhan was cooking while still in her pajamas. Her enchanting figure was on full display.

But what kind of private photos are these? Shouldn't they be more like…

"Alright." Gugu immediately put the phone away. Her big, adorable eyes were fixed on Wu Tian as she said, "Daddy, I want chocolate. If you don't give me some, I'll tell Mommy."

"…" Wu Tian never imagined he would one day be conned by his sweet daughter. He feigned anger and reached out to tickle the little one.

The Immortal Emperor had finally rediscovered the human touch he had lost.

"AH… Bad daddy!"

The ambushed little one immediately burrowed into the quilt, curling up into a ball and leaving Wu Tian torn between laughter and tears. Yet somehow, he enjoyed this feeling.

The night passed just like that. Gugu woke up three times, but Wu Tian had no issue with the interruptions.

But what about Qin Yuhan? Wu Tian couldn't help but sigh.

「The next morning,」

It was Gugu who woke Wu Tian up. As he carried the little one out of the room, he ran into Murong Yezi.

Murong Yezi said cheerfully, "I bought a special kids' toothbrush for you, Gugu. I even squeezed the toothpaste onto it already!"

"Okay," Gugu called out.

It seems that ever since the little one arrived, Mom has stopped caring about me.

After washing up, it was time to eat.

Wu Tian's home wasn't large, just a modest two-story building, but it definitely felt like home. They ate in the living room on the first floor. Murong Yezi had cooked food that was easy for a child to digest, giving no thought to what Wu Tian liked to eat. Hmph. You little rascal, disappearing for four years… This is your punishment. Let's see if you dare run away again.

As Gugu ate her porridge with a bib on, some of it dribbled from the corners of her mouth. Murong Yezi gently urged her to slow down while wiping her mouth with a napkin. She wasn't the least bit impatient; on the contrary, she was overjoyed to have a cute little addition like Gugu join their family.

The three of them finished breakfast in a cheerful atmosphere. Meanwhile, Qin Zhengyang had arrived in a Mercedes to pick up Wu Tian and Gugu. The plan was to drop Gugu off at kindergarten before taking Wu Tian to the Qin Corporation for a visit.

Murong Yezi had gone out the night before to buy new clothes for the little girl. She now dressed Gugu in them and tied her hair into two adorable pigtails.

The kindergarten was in the center of Yang City, an institution so exclusive that only the children of the wealthy could afford to attend. Its location was considered prime by most people. A hospital was across the street, a toy store to the left, and a park to the right, providing fresh air that was a rarity in the city.

But when Wu Tian smelled the air here, his brows furrowed slightly. Without hesitation, he looked at Gugu and said, "Let's not go to kindergarten today, shall we?"

"Why?" the little one asked, her big eyes filled with endless questions.

Because Lin Mo had an incident. Without her, there's no one to look after the children.

He didn't explain further, simply turning to Qin Zhengyang. With his help, they soon arrived at a nearby clinic.

Wu Tian stated, "This is poisoning."

No sooner had his words fallen than a voice came from behind, "This isn't a martial arts novel. How could there be poisoning?"

Turning around, Wu Tian saw a woman in a doctor's uniform. She was about twenty-eight years old, with an oval face and long, flowing hair. She had a different air about her than either Qin Yuhan or Lin Mo.

Qin Zhengyang quietly introduced her to Wu Tian. The woman was a Physician named Qiu Yulan.

"I don't care who she is," Qiu Yulan said. "Here, I treat everyone the same."

"Yulan, that's not quite right," another, middle-aged Physician said as he approached.

Qin Zhengyang also introduced this man to Wu Tian. He was Li Bin, a Physician widely acclaimed for his superb Medical Technique.

Li Bin's eyes lit up with joy as he looked at Lin Mo, who was pale and semi-conscious. He was well aware of the kindergarten principal's identity. She was the perpetually single young lady of the Lin Family. At this moment, Li Bin felt he had found a way to get closer to her.

"Rest assured, here in Yang City, I, Li Bin, am a first-rate doctor. Leave this young lady in my care, and she will definitely be fine. No matter what the situation, I can solve it perfectly."

In less than ten minutes, Lin Mo's various test results came back.

Looking at the results in his hand, Li Bin was taken aback. They showed that Lin Mo only had mild anemia and no other issues. But that raised a question: if nothing was wrong, why was Lin Mo so pale and dazed?

"How is she, Dr. Li Bin?" a kindergarten teacher asked.

"Well… this falls under internal medicine, which isn't my specialty. I specialize in surgery," Li Bin said, his eyes darting about nervously. Noticing Qiu Yulan was still standing there, he quickly added, "Right, our Dr. Qiu specializes in internal medicine! Let's leave this to Dr. Qiu. I'm confident she can handle it. I'll be taking my leave now."
