On 15th of February, Kirie woke up because there is a tiny hand poking on her left cheek, Kirie woke up slowly while rubbing her eyes harshly when she heard a soft tiny voice gasped near her, she opened her eyes immediately as soon as her eyes get used to the light that dominates the room from it sky, Kirie smiled cause Yasuji was the one near her, she patted his head and greet him
She noticed that Asagiri is already awake and made her bed, Kirie noticed that Mizuho didn't make her bed and she didn't stop talking about the lesson she studied in biology to Yanai who was ignoring her, Kirie stood up and walked to Mizuho with a wide strict smile, she spoke in a thick voice: it's seems you have forgotten to do your bed, little Mizuho
At first she wanted to reply with a sarcasm but stopped when she saw Kirie serious expression which made her make the bed without saying another word, after she made the room and fixed themselves the five of them left the room, Asagiri where watching her left and right, her expression was solid and serious but her lips were shaking a little, the moment they left the resident area Kohaku stopped them and suddenly hold Kirie's hand and gave her his credit card and left, Kirie stood still while watching the card doesn't know what she should say or do while holding the card as if it was made from glass, Mizuho eyes shine with mischief, Yasai shook his head cause he knew what this girl is thinking of
Now the five are standing in front of a mall, Kirie sighed and turned to the three kids and started to give the some instructions, now they are walking inside the mall and started inspecting it until Asagiri pointed to the map of the complex displayed in the corner of the mall, they started to check the map when Kirie smiled and said: how about this? We eat breakfast, and then we go to the games floor? We play till we think of something else to do?
Both Mizuho and Yasuji nodded their head, Kirie looked at Aasagiri and Yanai whos looking at her and they couldn't decline in the end they have nothing to do anyways, now Kirie, Asagiri and Yasuji watching both Yanai and Mizuho are arguing on which restaurant they should sit in, till Kirie broke them by choosing something else entirely which made Mizuho whines and Yanai huffed, they are now sitting on a table while looking at the menu, Mizuho talked in a loud cheerful and excitement voice: the great Mizuho want pancakes and waffle and she also wanted with extra white chocolate sauce
Yanai warned her in a sharp tone: Watch what you are ordering! This money belongs to Kohaku and not only to you!
Mizuho got angry, Kirie laughed, and then turned to Asagiri with a smile and asked in a calm voice: What about you? Have you decided?
Asagiri was still looking at the menu when she raised her eyes and then looked again at the menu when she mumbled in a low voice: You can call me by my name, Kotoko
Kirie smiled and nodded: Roger that, Kotoko
Asagiri smiled a small smile and answered her question: I will only take a scrambled egg with bacon on the side
Kirie turned to the kids with a wide smile: What about you?
Yanai answered calmly: muffin, egg with cheese
Kirie nodded, Mizuho answered: Mizuho wants pancakes with chocolate
Kirie turned to Yasuji, who spoke in a childish excitement: food
Kirie laughed and nodded her head, in the end Kirie ordered a meal that she will share with Yasuji from an egg with hashbrowns and some breads, they started to eat, Mizuho never stopped talking while Yasuji seems like he is having fun from what she is saying and asking childish innocent questions, while both Asagiri and Yanai sat in a deadly silent, Kirie listen to what Mizuho says then turn to the other two and try to talk to them to relieve the stress
After finishing their meal, they went to the bathroom to wash up, Kirie was still talking with Asagiri, Now, Yasuji wouldn't stop running until they reached the arcade, and both Yasuji and Mizuho kept pulling Kirie and asking for all sorts of different games, Meanwhile, Asagiri and Yanai stood by, watching how patiently she handled the two children, Yasuji ran to the left, and Mizuho to the right, forcing Kirie to chase after them and bring them back together, Asagiri dug her nails into her palm, then walked over to the children, addressing them in a dark voice amd eyes:
Listen to Kirie, she's trying to do what you want, but you're not giving her the time to do it, She's trying to please you all, so stop this behavior
Both kids got scared and hid behind Kirie who chuckled lightly, while they all started to play even Asagiri started to play with Kirie, Kirie was talking to her comfortably, Asagiri smiled a small smile, while they sat to take a break and they have small snacks Kirie felt someone were watching them and before she turned and speak Ri appeared with a surprised expression, Ri walked to them fastly till she hold Asagiri and pulled her and cried out with wide eyes and sweat streaming from her, but her voice was thick: what are you doing here?
Then she added while she was stuttering: I went to your house and didn't find you, you didn't come to the college for a while, and you didn't answer my messages, What happened? Answer me!
Kirie stood up and separated Ri and Asagiri from each other and addressed RI in a stern tone: What are you doing with her? Don't you see that Kotoko isn't comfortable?
Ri's eyes went wide when she noticed Kirie called Asagiri by her name, she whispered: Kotoko!
She turned to Asagiri and added in a dry voice: Who is this girl? Why is she calling you by your name so easily? I never saw her before, you never let anyone call your name immediately, and also, who are these children?
Asagiri turned to Kirie and whispered to her in a low voice: Take the children and wait for me near the entrance
Ri's eyes went wider, and she bit her lips when she walked fastly to Kirie, she held her wrist so hard: I will not let you leave so easily, Who are you, and what do you think you are doing to Kotoko?
Kirie's eyes narrowed as Ri grabbed her wrist and stared at her, Kirie's teeth clenched; she remembered how her mother used to get angry and grip her wrist tightly, Kirie let out a breath, then held Ri's hand firmly, Ri's eyes widened in shock, Kirie spoke clearly: Are you Kotoko's mother? Are you her guardian? Why this childish behavior? If you're truly her friend, you should have given her excuses, and not attacked her like that, Moreover, you didn't even give her the time or space to explain everything that's happening, Calm down, instead of blindly attacking others, I understand your concern for her, but this blind aggression won't help you at all
Then Kirie released Ri's hand, Because of what Ri had done, some people stopped, and a few security officers arrived, Kirie calmly explained what had happened, though convincing them was a bit difficult, Then she took the children and left to stand by the door waiting for Asagiri, Asagiri wasn't looking at Ri, Ri was looking down, biting her lip, her body trembling, Then Asagiri walked over to her and stood in front of her, She grabbed her wrist and pulled her to a place out of sight, Then she turned to her and began to speak in a low voice but looked Ri straight in the eyes: The attack that happened at the university, yes I was the one who was targeted, Sorry I couldn't answer you; I lost my phone, That girl…
She sighed, the words stuck inside her cage, she added: she is here to help that all, it's something out of my hands, when things get better, I will tell you, but for now, I can't be away from her for so long
Asagiri smiled a small smile and raised her right hand and patted her head, then left, Ri held her head with widened eyes and muttered to herself: she never smiled like this to me at all, and since when does she pat people's heads?
