Chapter 21 - Chapter 21: Wild and Domineering

Hearing the voice, Liu Shilin and Liu Shiyu froze for a moment before looking up at the newcomer. At the head of the twenty or so men stood a man in his thirties with a neat crew cut. A long scar ran from the corner of his eye down to his jaw, cutting across his entire face and giving him a ferocious appearance. It was this very scar that had earned him his name; in the underworld, everyone called him Scar, though some called him Brother Scar. His real name had long since been forgotten.

Seeing Scar, Liu Shilin and Liu Shiyu grew frightened, instinctively taking two steps back to hide behind Lin Kuang. He, however, calmly met Scar's gaze. "A man of Liu Tiecheng's?" he asked coolly.

"Oh? So you know our Second-in-Command?" Scar said, a hint of surprise in his voice. His eyes glinted with amusement as if he had everything under control. "Since you know, you still dared to lay a hand on our second boss's woman? You must have a death wish, kid."

"Yeah, I have a death wish. What are you going to do about it?" Lin Kuang shrugged, a grin playing on his lips. His tone and gaze made it clear he didn't give a damn about the man before him.

Hearing the arrogance in Lin Kuang's voice, Scar was taken aback for a moment before sneering, "Tsk, tsk. Kid, you've got a lot of nerve. What should I call it? The fearlessness of the ignorant?"

Lin Kuang nonchalantly dug a finger in his ear. "Maybe," he said with a smile. "You got a problem with that?"

Though he had only said a few words, they were infuriating enough to make anyone lose their cool.

Behind him, the Witch couldn't help but stifle a giggle. Even though this guy is so annoying, his talent for pissing people off is definitely top-notch!

Seeing this, Liu Shilin shot her a disapproving glare. How can you still laugh at a time like this!?

The Witch playfully stuck out her tongue and clamped her mouth shut, suppressing her laughter.

Across from Lin Kuang, the already ferocious expression on Scar's face turned even uglier. "You're courting death, kid! Since you're so eager, I'll grant you your wish!" he snarled.

The next moment, he began to swagger toward Lin Kuang, rolling his head and shoulders with an air of self-importance. Behind him, his twenty-odd thugs folded their arms and watched, looking forward to the show, clearly expecting Scar to take care of Lin Kuang with ease. Just then, the people who had been partying inside the bar began to pour out. They formed a tight circle around the entrance, curious about the commotion. They didn't know exactly what was going on, but they could tell a fight was about to break out, which was more than enough to satisfy the crowd of onlookers.

Lin Kuang simply smiled as he watched Scar approach. He truly wasn't concerned; Scar wasn't worth the effort. Seeing that smile, Scar's expression soured. He was a somebody on the streets of the East Sea. No one had ever dared to look down on him like this before. Lin Kuang's blatant disrespect was seriously pissing him off.

Kid, I'm going to make you regret this! Scar thought as he came to a stop before Lin Kuang.

Their eyes met. Scar threw a punch—fast and vicious. It was clear the man was a regular brawler who had honed his skills in countless rough-and-tumble fights. To Lin Kuang, however, this was nothing. He was once the ace of the Wild Wolf Special Forces, the Hungry Wolf himself! Why would a petty thug like Scar even register on his radar?

The instant Scar's punch flew, Lin Kuang's arm shot up and clamped down on his wrist.

Feeling his wrist caught in an iron grip, Scar's expression twisted in shock. This skinny guy has so much strength... and he's so fast!

In the next moment, Lin Kuang stepped forward, spun, arched his back, and with a powerful twist of his hand, executed a flawless shoulder throw that sent Scar flying! The series of moves was so clean and fluid it looked as if he had practiced it ten million times. It was textbook-perfect.

No one had seen that coming. The entire crowd stared, mouths agape, utterly shocked by the scene unfolding before them. His swift movements and ruthless technique sent an inexplicable chill down their spines. Some of the bolder girls started shouting, "He's a god!" while a few attractive young women even started winking flirtatiously at him.

If Lin Kuang had been so inclined, he could have had a very enjoyable night.

Seeing this, the Witch grumbled to herself, Hmph, what's the big deal? It was just a shoulder throw. It's not like no one else can do that. And those women are so shameless.

Meanwhile, Lin Kuang stood quietly watching Scar on the ground, ignoring the fawning women. Scar lay there, his face twisted in a pained grimace as he gritted his teeth.

"Is this how you were going to kill me?" Lin Kuang asked coolly. "Just as you said, the ignorant are truly fearless." He then glanced back at the two sisters. "Let's go."

With that, Lin Kuang started to walk away, completely ignoring the twenty-odd thugs. As they watched him go, Liu Shilin and the Witch were suddenly struck by the indescribable air of wild, domineering presence he exuded. The feeling shocked them to their core.

Pfft, he's just a damn hooligan, isn't he? That must have been my imagination... Yeah, that's it. Definitely my imagination! the Witch thought.

"Stop them! Damn it, don't let a single one get away!" Lying on the ground, Scar forced the words out, his voice thick with agony. It was obvious he was still in a great deal of pain.

Hearing his order, the twenty-odd thugs finally snapped out of their stupor and moved to surround Lin Kuang. Yet for some reason, the sight of him filled them with a deep-seated fear. It was as if Lin Kuang were some prehistoric beast that terrified them to the very soul.

Lin Kuang didn't break his stride, continuing to walk forward calmly. Not a single one of the thugs dared to block his path.

Seeing this, Scar, still on the ground, felt like his lungs would explode with rage. He roared, "Damn it, are you all useless? Get him, you worthless bastards!"

Hearing Scar's bellows, the thugs swallowed nervously. As much as they didn't want to attack, they didn't dare disobey his command either.

Resigned to their fate, the twenty-odd thugs exchanged a look, then let out a collective battle cry as they grit their teeth. The sudden shouting even caught Lin Kuang by surprise, leaving him to wonder what the hell they were doing.

In the next instant, all of them charged toward him at once.

Behind him, Liu Shilin's and the Witch's pretty eyes filled with worry. If Lin Kuang couldn't handle them, they were finished.
