Shu Ya was probably too exhausted, as she ended up leaning against Hao Jian's chest and slept the whole afternoon. Hao Jian held her like this, and although holding her for so long made his body a bit uncomfortable, he kept this position to avoid disturbing Shu Ya's rest.
As dusk approached, Shu Ya suddenly woke up, glanced at Hao Jian, and realized he had been holding her the entire time to avoid waking her. A warmth flowed through her heart.
Looking at Hao Jian, she said, "Put me down; I'll go sleep on the bed."
In truth, she very much wanted to stay curled up in his arms, feeling particularly warm and comforted, regardless of the position. As long as she was in his arms, it was warm.
No matter the time, his embrace was always incredibly warm.
Yet seeing Hao Jian hold her in the same position for so long, likely causing his hands to go numb, she couldn't bear the thought and thus uttered these words.
