<><><><><><>

For Mary Geoise, perched at the highest point of the Red Line, this was just another ordinary day, no different from any other in the past eight hundred years.

The Celestial Dragons who lived here calmly assumed that this day would pass as easily as the last, and that tomorrow would be the same.

But at a certain moment, everything changed. An endless black-and-red aura instantly spread across the sky above Mary Geoise, changing the colour of the heavens in the blink of an eye.

At the same time, an invisible, oppressive pressure descended like a hundred thousand mountains.

A massive shockwave radiated outwards from the ground of Mary Geoise.

"The sky... It's turned black and red! Heavens, is this the apocalypse?"

"What's happening? What is happening?" Countless Celestial Dragons, walking the streets with leashed slaves, stared blankly up at the sky.

A strange sense of dread rose in their hearts.

The scene was truly terrifying, as if the end of the world had arrived. Some even noticed that the very wind had stopped, frozen in place.

Everything had stopped moving, as if suppressed by the power of some unknown monster hidden in the sky.

Then, a series of thuds echoed out, followed by screams.

As dust kicked up from the ground, one could see Celestial Dragons being violently pressed to the earth as if a great mountain were on their backs.

The protective bubbles they used to isolate themselves from the world shattered with a pop, and the cold air instantly rushed into their ugly nostrils.

"Aaaah! I'm breathing the air of the commoners!" some screamed in terror and rage. But others just lay on the ground, trembling uncontrollably,

using all their strength to look up at the black and red sky. They could smell the scent of death.

"What in the world is going on?!" a terrified Celestial Dragon roared at the sky, his eyes filled with fear and despair.

The black-and-red sky, as if dyed with the blood of countless humans, created an oppressive, suffocating feeling, an instinctual sense of doom.

Time was passing, but to the countless people below, all sense of it was lost.

The moment felt both infinitely slow and incredibly fast. A sharp whistling sound tore through the air.

Someone looked up, and their eyes reflected streaks of dazzling light. They were fiery and beautiful, a stark contrast to the black-and-red sky.

"Is that... fireworks?" an old Celestial Dragon murmured.

He stared at the whistling lights, finding them so beautiful that they were the most mesmerising sight he had ever seen in his life.

Before he knew it, one of the dazzling beams of light plunged downwards. In what seemed like both an instant and an eternity, it struck him.

A hum was heard as an invisible shockwave suddenly pulsed outwards. The old Celestial Dragon was instantly vaporised, disintegrating.

For thousands of meters around him, the world distorted and collapsed at a visible speed.

A blinding white light followed this, so searingly hot that anyone nearby was silently incinerated, reduced to ash.

The light was brilliant, dazzlingly so, like a small sun blooming and descending upon Mary Geoise. In that moment, countless people saw their kin become light.

The light expanded rapidly, reaching a height of several hundred meters in the blink of an eye, forming the shape of a mushroom cloud.

Only then did the deafening sound arrive with a series of earth-shaking roars, and building after building was annihilated in the explosion.

The prosperous, lavish castles were destroyed in an instant, and the pinnacle of the Red Line was stripped back to its most primitive form.

"Damn it! Someone is launching a surprise attack on Mary Geoise!" a guard on duty immediately realised, his face paling as he roared.

He stared with trembling eyes at the blooming mushroom cloud, then looked up at the countless other streaks of light that were falling at a slow but steady pace.

His heart was pounding in his chest, and his entire body was shaking.

He could only imagine that each of those lights possessed the same terrifying, destructive power as the first.

This was far beyond any offensive weapon recorded in the world today.

If all of those countless lights were to land on Mary Geoise, the eight-hundred-year-old Holy Land would suffer a devastating blow of unimaginable scale.

What was this place? This was the centre of the World Government, the Holy Land where the Celestial Dragons lived!

If anything were to happen here, the outside world would instantly be thrown into chaos. As these thoughts raced through his mind, another explosion roared to his side.

A second mushroom cloud rose into the air, and a terrifying shockwave blasted outwards like a tidal wave. The guard's heart leapt.

He was relieved that this shot had missed its target, hitting the Red Line in the distance, but a greater despair washed over him as he saw the many other lights still falling.

An emergency evacuation was a snail's pace compared to the speed of the descending lights.

At that same moment, the Four Elders had already stepped out of their palace. Their eyes flickered as they surveyed the tragic scene unfolding in the Holy Land.

"A weapon of mass destruction. Its power is no less than the one we used on Wano Country. Who is it?" Saint Topman Warcury gritted out.

The other three all looked grave, and one could even see them trembling.

"I think who fired it is no longer important, what's more important is how many people in Mary Geoise can survive this disaster," Saint Marcus Mars said in a low voice.

As they spoke, another explosion rocked a distant castle complex. A blinding light bloomed, and countless figures were melted and vaporised without even a chance to scream. The four old men's faces grew even darker.

"Decide, what should we do?" Saint Marcus Mars demanded.

"There's no time left to choose! Evacuate! We must get out of here as fast as possible, escape the range of this attack wave," Saint Ethanbaron V. Nusjuro said sharply.

In the few moments it took them to speak, another four beams of light fell, each blooming into a mushroom cloud. Mary Geoise was on the brink of annihilation.

"What about Lord Imu?" Saint Shepherd Ju Peter asked. The four of them looked toward the building deep within Pangu Castle.

Just then, a voice reached them. "Evacuate. Preserve as many of the Holy Land's forces as you can."

"I can feel it... an even more immense, boundless, and destructive presence, like a giant dragon, is rapidly approaching Mary Geoise."

The low voice sent a chill through the four of them. Without a moment's hesitation, the Four Elders began to glow, entering their transformed states.

Then, they fled from Mary Geoise at their top speed. As the moments passed, the explosions became more frequent and louder.

Countless mushroom clouds bloomed across Mary Geoise. The beautiful castles, the manicured gardens, the artistic sculptures—all of it was vaporised in an instant, turned to ash.

And disappearing along with them were the Celestial Dragons, who for countless years had stood proudly above the world as its nobles.

For the Celestial Dragons, today was the day of their destruction. Countless crimson meteors fell from the sky, blooming into innumerable mushroom clouds over Mary Geoise.

Building after building was vaporised, and vast lawns were turned to scorched earth. These massive mushrooms expanded and quickly merged, creating a scene of utter chaos.

In the eyes of the Four Elders, this large-scale attack was like a Buster Call that had been amplified a hundredfold.

Gradually, the sound of explosions grew sparse. Just as the few remaining survivors thought it was over, the sky suddenly changed again, turning completely black.

The red faded, replaced by pure darkness. And then, against the black backdrop, a bright, thick pillar of light, like a giant dragon, plunged from above.

"Is that...?!" The people fell into complete despair. It was an attack dozens, even hundreds of times larger and more dazzling than the beams before it.

The future of Mary Geoise was now sealed. The beam of light was incredibly bright, becoming the only thing of colour left in their vision.

After what felt like an eternity, the blinding pillar of light struck the ground of Mary Geoise at an angle. With a low hum, the ground seemed to tremble.

Then, the earth, which had stood unshaken for countless years, suddenly cracked open with a deafening roar. Even the sky seemed to collapse and twist.

The ground split apart as an unimaginably powerful earthquake radiated outwards in all directions from the point of impact. Then, a scene that no one could have ever imagined occurred.

A gap appeared in the once-solid Red Line. It continued to widen, crumbling at a visible speed until it was only a few dozen meters above sea level.

The location of that gap was precisely where Mary Geoise had once stood.

The waters of the first and second halves of the Grand Line churned, forming a massive tsunami that surged into the newly created channel, flooding the continent.

The searing heat collided with the seawater, sending up a vast cloud of white steam that rose high into the sky.

From a distance, it was as if the Red Line that separated the two halves of the Grand Line had been pierced straight through, creating a vast, solid, and flat new landmass.

It was an unimaginable and utterly shocking sight.

--An unknown amount of time passed--

The white steam, carried away by the sea breeze, gradually dissipated, revealing a scorched, flat land.

No, it wasn't entirely flat, as the plain was crisscrossed with twisted ravines. Carved out by the force of the tsunami, they had become a network of winding riverbeds.

Because of the new topography, the seawater now flowed rapidly through these channels like countless slithering snakes.

The rumbling of earthquakes continued as giant rocks and clouds of dust fell from the high cliffs on either side of the new continent, forming rolling hills.

A new land was taking shape. At the same time, in the second half of the Grand Line, the dense fleet of warships was slowing down.

The crews stood on their decks, staring blankly at the giant gap ahead, petrified by the great wind blowing toward them.

On the black warship at the very front, everyone's expression was one of extreme gravity and shock.

They had witnessed everything that had just happened, and they were certain they would remember it for the rest of their lives.

Countless mushroom clouds had bloomed, annihilating every building and living thing in Mary Geoise.

Even from their position, they could clearly see the scene of the mushroom clouds expanding, intertwining, and covering the highest point of the world.

They could even feel the terrifying, destructive force of the shockwaves on the deck of the Pluton.

The final pillar of light that reached for the heavens, the blast from the main cannon, was even more.

It had utterly destroyed everything in Mary Geoise and had pierced straight through the Red Line, which had stood as a barrier for countless ages.

The power it had unleashed was beyond anyone's imagination. What now appeared before their eyes was the pierced Red Line.

A brand-new continent had appeared before them, connecting the two halves of the Grand Line.

After a long silence, Arashi's eyes narrowed, his gaze fixed on the gap ahead. Mary Geoise was completely gone, without a trace left in this world.

But whether anyone could have survived Pluton's bombardment was another question.

"Hey," he said sharply.

Kizaru, Aokiji, Whitebeard, and the others beside him were startled from their reverie.

They had been staring blankly at the gap, not yet recovered from the world-shaking power of the Pluton.

"The test of the Pluton is over; its power has indeed exceeded my imagination," Arashi said in a serious tone.

He had thought that the power of Pluton's main cannon, combined with its many secondary cannons, would be enough to destroy many of the buildings in Mary Geoise and weaken the World Government's power.

But he had never expected that its terrifying nuclear strike would completely obliterate the World Government, and even blast a huge gap in the Red Line.

Compared to the Red Line that encircled the entire planet, this gap was, of course, tiny.

But for humanity, it was more than large enough to build a city upon.

One could imagine that in the future, this land would connect the two halves of the Grand Line, making passage through the underwater Fish-Man Island no longer necessary.

"So this is the power of Pluton," Kizaru murmured, taking a deep breath.

He couldn't help but turn and look at the cannon barrels, which were still glowing red and crackling with energy, and a profound shock filled his heart.

One volley, one island destroyed. It was not just an empty rumour; it was a fact laid bare before his very eyes.

Whitebeard stared blankly at the countless black cannons covering the Pluton, unable to look away for a long time, as it was a cold realisation that a cold weapon could possess such terrifying, destructive power.

And the soldiers standing by the cannons were now collapsing to the deck, their faces filled with terror.

What had they done? They had personally fired the cannons that had obliterated the Holy Land, Mary Geoise, the pinnacle of the world.

The World Government, which had stood for eight hundred years, had been turned to dust by their own hands.

Their first reaction to this earth-shaking event was not excitement, but terror. Because the world government was no more, from this moment on, it was gone without a trace.
