Chapter 19 - **Chapter 19: The Best Choice!**

There's a solid reason why Matsuko Hotel is the most expensive in Lust.

Gawain stood in the top-floor suite of the hotel, looking down—

A total of eight attackers.

By this time, they had all been knocked to the ground.

And the hotel staff?

Not a single person was injured.

Because, the moment the fight started, it ended—the attackers didn't even have time to react before they were riddled with bullets from rows of long guns protruding from the second floor of the hotel.

"There are at least 20 armed guards in the hotel!"

Gawain calculated the number of gun barrels that had just appeared, then glanced at the receipt on the table.

Clearly written on it—

**802, 5 Gold Coins/Day.**

...

A price steep enough to deter the average person.

But, worth every penny, isn't it?

Even back in his hometown, Gawain didn't mind borrowing others' strength, especially when it was entirely justifiable.

However, the key point was still his own strength.

Gawain understood this well.

And he wouldn't forget it.

**Tap, tap, tap!**

Clear footsteps approached from afar.

Gawain, holding a glass of water, looked towards the door.

The glass contained lemon water (included in the room price).

If it were another time, Gawain wouldn't mind having a drink, but now, his eyes were on the door.

**Knock, knock, knock!**

"Come in."

Gawain said as he walked back to the outer part of the suite and sat down on the sofa.

The door opened, and two people walked in.

One was a nearly two-meter-tall man, whose muscular build was evident even in a suit. His face was fierce, especially with the scar under his eye adding an extra touch of ruthlessness.

Beside him was a patrol officer.

The officer paused when he saw Gawain sitting on the sofa.

Clearly, he recognized Gawain.

In fact, ever since Gawain appeared at the police station last night, his series of actions had made sure the officers memorized his face in the shortest time.

Because...

Someone always ended up dead.

First it was Soko, then Tucker, and next was the gas leak incident in the Lin Yin District.

Disaster!

Omen!

These were the nicknames the officers secretly used for Gawain in the station.

Of course, only in private.

On the surface—

"Good evening, Master Gawain."

The officer greeted him politely, then glanced around and asked, "Is Inspector Swart not with you?"

"He should still be at the Garden Club."

"There might be trouble. If you can, you should take more people to pick him up."

Gawain said casually.

He didn't know Swart's current situation.

But if he could lend a hand, Gawain didn't mind doing so.

Provided that...

Swart's luck was good enough.

"Understood!"

"I'll go right away!"

The officer, who had no intention of staying here longer, immediately turned and left.

Then, only Gawain and the tall, incredibly strong man were left in the room.

"I'm Regrey, the head of security at Matsuko Hotel."

"Welcome to Matsuko Hotel."

"At the same time, I hope you have a pleasant night, and that unpleasant incidents like tonight don't happen again."

The security chief, who introduced himself as Regrey, spoke with a clear implication.

Gawain understood it well.

Matsuko Hotel was not a sanctuary.

They couldn't provide protection every time he was in trouble.

This time, it was because he had entered Matsuko Hotel, and they were forced to act.

But, it was a one-time deal—there would be no next time.

"Of course."

Gawain replied with a smile.

Regrey was polite enough, without any excessive words or actions, and besides, Gawain had already taken advantage of the situation.

So it was best to stop while he was ahead.

"Thank you for your understanding."

"If you need any service, please ring the bell."

"We have attendants available 24 hours to provide you with sincere service."

After saying this, Regrey bowed slightly and then walked backward out of the door, gently closing it behind him.

Gawain sat on the sofa, not getting up.

He was waiting for news.

Or to be more precise: news from Morey.

Time passed, minute by minute.

Gawain's expression gradually became solemn.

Although he didn't know how those with 'extraordinary' powers fought, he knew that the longer it took, the worse the outcome might be.

This wasn't about the 'extraordinary,' but because Morey was well-prepared!

With that in mind, a quick resolution was the best choice!

Unless...

Something unexpected happened!

**Sigh!**

Gawain took a deep breath.

No plan is perfect; there's always a chance of something going wrong.

"Let's hope it's not the worst-case scenario!"

Gawain thought silently.

If Morey ended up being counter-killed, he might have to break the agreement he just made with Regrey, the security chief.

At the same time, Gawain didn't rush out to search for Morey.

Facing an unknown 'extraordinary' power, Gawain knew very well that staying here, ensuring his own safety, and not causing trouble for Morey was the best way to help him.

Time continued to pass, and then—

**Tap, tap, tap!**

Footsteps echoed in the corridor once again.

"Gawain!"

A familiar voice rang out.

But it wasn't Morey.

It was Swart.

So soon?!

Gawain frowned.

As Gawain opened the door, the inspector, who had just reached the doorway, wore a look of someone who had narrowly escaped death and shouted, "Gawain, it's so good to see you! You have no idea what I just went through!"

With that, Swart moved toward Gawain.

Gawain, however, instantly drew his gun.

But Swart moved swiftly, raising his hand.

**Smack!**

His fingertip struck the edge of Gawain's gun hand, and the powerful blow sent Gawain's revolver flying. As Gawain reached for his second revolver, his other hand was swiftly grabbed by Swart, who clamped down on Gawain's wrist.

**Smack!**

The second revolver also dropped to the ground.

Then, with both hands, Swart shoved Gawain forcefully.

**Bang!**

Gawain was sent flying back into the room, landing heavily on the sofa. Ignoring the pain in his wrists, he rolled to the side, dodging the incoming kick from his assailant.

**Crash!**

The sturdy hardwood sofa, under Swart's kick, shattered completely.

"Next time, it'll be your bones!"

"I'm going to crush every bone in your body!"

Swart sneered, a malicious glint in his eyes.

"But, if you tell me how you figured out I wasn't Swart, I might make your death a little quicker!"

He taunted.

Gawain felt the pain in his wrists. Although they weren't broken, his ability to fight back was severely impaired.

His opponent clearly had the upper hand in strength.

He was fast.

And skilled.

Without firearms, Gawain was undoubtedly at a disadvantage.

"I didn't realize you weren't Swart. I just habitually stay on guard."

Gawain continued to bluff while trying to shake off the pain in his wrists.

The pain was subsiding, but fighting back was out of the question.

"On guard?"

"You were bluffing?"

"And I fell for it?"

The attacker paused, then his face darkened.

"Very well!"

"I've changed my mind!"

"I won't let you die quickly. I'm going to crush every bone in your body and make you die in agony—how else can I erase the humiliation you've caused me!"

Having gotten the answer he wanted, the attacker sneered and lunged at Gawain.

Seeing his bloodthirsty opponent, Gawain didn't hesitate to make the best choice available—

**[Bloody Honor]** to enhance **[Unarmed Combat]!**
