Robin lay on the couch, her long legs crossed elegantly as she basked in the afterglow of their morning session. Her hair was slightly tousled, her cheeks still carrying a faint flush. She closed her eyes, breathing softly, allowing herself to revel in the warmth Luffy had left behind.
The smell of something sweet filled the air.
Robin's lips curled into a knowing smile.
"Cooking now, are we?" She murmured to herself.
A moment later, she lazily lifted her head and glanced towards the kitchen, where Luffy stood, humming as he worked. His movements were relaxed, yet precise—cracking eggs, flipping pancakes, drizzling honey with an effortless ease.
His bare upper body gleamed slightly from the morning sunlight streaming through the windows, muscles flexing as he worked.
It was a sight she could definitely get used to.
"Oi, sleepyhead," Luffy called playfully, snapping her out of her thoughts. "Breakfast is ready."
Robin stretched like a cat before standing up, making her way to the table where two plates were neatly placed. She took her seat opposite Luffy, watching as he dug into his food with enthusiasm.
She picked up her fork and took a bite, her lips parting slightly in pleasant surprise.
"Not bad," She admitted.
Luffy grinned, taking it as a huge compliment. "Told ya I could cook."
Robin rested her chin on one hand, watching him eat. She felt... content. This quiet moment, this little slice of normality, was something she had never allowed herself to hope for.
A warm breakfast made by the man she loved, peaceful company, and no immediate danger looming over her head. It was almost surreal.
But she knew better than to believe in fairytales.
She sighed softly, stirring her tea. "Luffy… are you not afraid that I might get caught by the Marines one day?"
Luffy paused mid-bite, his dark eyes meeting hers.
Robin's voice was calm, but there was something deeper beneath her words. A quiet fear, a lingering shadow of the past. She had spent her entire life running, always looking over her shoulder. Even now, with Luffy by her side, she couldn't shake the feeling that one day, her luck would run out.
Luffy swallowed his food and leaned back, folding his arms behind his head.
"Robin," He said, a knowing smirk playing on his lips. "Do you really think anyone could catch you that easily?"
Robin chuckled, shaking her head. "You seem very confident in my skills."
"I know your skills," Luffy corrected, tapping his temple. "If I wasn't a hundred times stronger than you, you would've tricked me back when we first met."
Robin raised an amused brow. "Oh? You think I would have deceived you?"
"Without a doubt," Luffy laughed. "You're way too smart not to try."
Robin let out a soft giggle, sipping her tea. "And yet, here I am."
"Exactly," Luffy said, his expression turning more serious. "That's why I came here today."
Robin tilted her head slightly, intrigued. "Oh? And what reason might that be?"
Luffy smirked. "I think it's finally time for you to officially join my crew."
Robin blinked. "...Wasn't I already a part of it?"
Luffy chuckled, shaking his head. "You are, but this is something deeper."
Robin's curiosity deepened, but she knew Luffy well enough to understand that when he had something big planned, he preferred showing rather than explaining.
She finished her tea and set the cup down.
"Alright," She said, standing up. "Show me."
Luffy grasped her hand, his grip warm and firm, and in the next moment, the world around them changed.
Robin's breath hitched as the cozy home vanished, replaced by an endless, otherworldly expanse. She stepped forward slowly, her heeled boots clicking against the smooth, polished surface of the mystical space.
She turned in slow awe, her hands resting lightly over her chest.
"This place…" She whispered. "What is this?"
Luffy grinned, watching her reaction with amusement. "This is my Training Chamber."
Robin turned to him sharply. "Your what?"
Luffy chuckled, stuffing his hands into his pockets. "A place where time flows differently. I can train here for years, and only a day will pass outside."
Robin stared at him, speechless. She had spent her whole life chasing knowledge, uncovering mysteries, and deciphering the past, yet here stood something she had never even imagined.
"A space outside of time…" She murmured, her fingers brushing her lips in thought. "This… this is impossible."
Luffy laughed. "Well, I guess I have a habit of doing the impossible."
Robin turned away, gazing at the infinite void around them. "And you've been using this place all along?"
She exhaled, shaking her head. "That's the secret behind your ridiculous strength."
Luffy smirked. "Yup."
Robin crossed her arms, narrowing her eyes. "And you only now decide to share it with me?"
Luffy chuckled sheepishly. "I figured it was time."
Robin sighed dramatically before placing a hand on her hip. "And what exactly do you expect me to do here?"
Luffy walked up to her, resting his hands on her shoulders. "Train. Get stronger. You can pick any powerful opponent as your instructor. It's the best way to grow."
Robin stared at him, truly seeing the depth of his belief in her.
He wasn't just offering her a way to protect herself.
He was offering her a future. A chance to stand beside him—not as someone needing protection, but as someone strong enough to walk by his side.
A warmth spread through her chest, making her heart ache in the best possible way.
Robin suddenly covered her mouth with her hand, her deep blue eyes gleaming with something unreadable.
Luffy blinked. "Oi, what's with that look?"
Robin chuckled softly, lowering her hand as she stared at him with half-lidded eyes filled with intrigue and something far more dangerous.
"You," She murmured, stepping closer, "are far more fascinating than any lost history."
Luffy grinned. "Took you long enough to realize."
Robin's smirk deepened. "I should punish you for keeping secrets from me, you know."
Luffy chuckled. "Go ahead. But no biting, I'm still recovering from this morning."
Robin hummed playfully. "No promises."
Luffy suddenly took a step back. "Wait."
Robin tilted her head. "Hmm?"
Luffy shot her a wary look before he suddenly disappeared from the chamber in a flash.
Robin blinked.
Then, realization dawned, and she burst into laughter.
"That coward," She chuckled, crossing her arms. "Running away after draining himself, how typical."
She shook her head in amusement before turning her gaze back to the surreal space around her.
A place where I can train without limits… She mused, her fingers tracing the air.
Her expression softened, love and admiration shining in her eyes.
"He really does want me to be strong," She whispered.
With a determined smile, she turned toward the training grounds.
"Let's see what this place can do."
