Streetlamps sparkling in the quiet morning,
Autumn leaves, both on branch and path, turning the world to gold and brown,
Quick, wet days under a weeping sky,
A mug of warmth on a chilly day,
A mist that veils all in gray,
Nature's breath in every breeze,
Cold evenings softened by a quiet glow,
A whisper of Halloween in every breeze,
Jack-o'-lanterns smiling from the houses,
Leaves letting go as green fades to gold,
Candles glowing, filling the night with fragrance,
Autumn teaching the art of letting things fall.
Yet none can feel the thrill of autumn as I do,
And yes, my heart overflows with joy,
For this is when my heart feels at home,
And this is when my heart knows real happiness,
The warmth of autumn will forever comfort me,
And with each autumn, I shall bloom anew,
