Lee Ji-seo POV (Point Of View)
After the library incident, it was like Taemin went somewhere else but he was still present. His mind was drifting somewhere and he wasn't paying attention in class. He didn't even annoy me and sat at a different table with Jaehyun who gave us an apologetic look when he passed our table.
"Okay, I've had enough." I huffed, clenching my fist. "What? Where are you going?" Ha-ri spoke up when she saw me getting up from my seat.
"I want to go and confront that bitch." I said, before sending glares to the back of Arin's head. I think she felt someone staring at her and she turned and her eyes locked with mine.
"She's not worth it. Don't get yourself in trouble because of her." Dae said in a warning tone. I looked at him then Ha-ri, then looked back at Arin to see that Chaeyoung was looking at me in confusion. I huffed and sat down on my seat.
"She'll get what's coming to her one day. I've had enough." I grumbled and my eyes went over to Taemin's table. Jaehyun was talking to him but he sat there eating his food with an expressionless face.
"Hey, you remember that you have that shoot today right?" Ha-ri asked me. I gave her a look then sighed, "You've asked me that 5 times today Ha-ri."
"Oh, I've asked you five times already?" She said in shock. Dae and I gave her a nod while grinning at her. "Oh, my bad." She said with a laugh.
I looked around the cafeteria and didn't see Min-ho anywhere, "Hey, does Min-ho not usually eat lunch?" I asked them.
Ha-ri raised a brow, "He does but not here. He probably eats his lunch in his area of the school." She explained.
"His area? What does that mean?" I asked. "He eats in the study area, and it's not the library. People don't really go there except him because he likes his privacy and he is introverted and all. That's where he studies most of the time." Dae explained.
"It's like everyone is so weird in this school." I said, shaking my head. "Taemin's area is the Guidance and Counselling office." Ha-ri joked with a smile on her face but it dropped quickly when she remembered something.
I stared at her mood change in confusion, "What's wrong?" I asked. She shook her head, "Nothing. Come on, let's keep the trays." She said before she got up and got to the tray dropping section in the cafeteria.
Dae and I stood up in silence and he spoke up, "Don't go down the rabbit hole Ji-seo, it's kind of a big thing for the Alphas. It's best if you just stay curious and don't do anything." Dae warned. I stared at him in confusion.
"What is wrong with this school?" I whispered. I went over to the tray area and saw Taemin standing there, dropping his tray off. He turned around and his eyes met mine but he just walked away like he didn't see me.
Jaehyun stared at his friend in shock before giving me a slight bow in apology, then went after him. 'Did I do something?' I said inwardly. Ha-ri dropped her tray off and took mine from my hands when she noticed I was just standing there.
"Come on. Let's go to class." She said before pulling me out of the cafeteria with Dae following behind us.
My mind was in a daze, trying to think what I did to Taemin that made him ignore me. Then my mind went to Toby. "Hey Ha-ri, I thought you said that I am a magnet for trouble?" I asked, looking down at my hands, holding back tears.
Ha-ri looked up from her notebook to look at me, "What's wrong?" I shook my head, "Nothing, it's just that my friends have been ignoring me."
"Is it because of Taemin? He is just in one of his silent treatment acts, he is going to talk to you soon." She reassured me.
"No, it's not just that my friend back in Nigeria hasn't responded to my texts and calls and I'm starting to get worried." I said, letting a tear drop.
Ha-ri looked at me in concern before taking her phone from her desk, "Do you know his number?" She asked. I stared at her, tears dropping from my eyes, "What do you want to do?"
"Call him duh. Let's see if he is ignoring you or it's something else." She said, then gave me a look like she was waiting for me to give her his number. Before I could say anything, our history teacher called out our names, "Hey, you two, try and focus would you?" He paused when he saw my cheeks stained with tears.
"Ji-seo, are you alright?" He asked in worry. Everyone in the class faced me, making me lower my head in embarrassment.
"Yeah, she is okay, she's just not feeling well. I'll take her to the nurse's office right away." Ha-ri said, already pulling me up with her.
"Yeah do that." Our history teacher said, looking at me with worry. Ha-ri grabbed my phone and hers and we both left the class. We went to the toilet first.
"Okay, so let's call him with my phone." She said after dialling his number. "Wait!" I stopped her before she could call him, "It would be so weird if you call him." I said with a sigh.
"So what are we supposed to do now?" She looked at me, her eyes scanning my face. "I don't know. I haven't been able to reach him on his socials either so it's worthless. Besides, he hasn't posted on any of his socials recently. I hope he is okay." I said before bursting into tears again.
"His socials... HIS SOCIALS!! Ji-seo, give me his socials!" Ha-ri yelled. I stared at her in confusion, "What do you want to use it for?" I asked.
"Let me see if he has posted anything in the past few days." She said, waiting for me to give her his Socials. "Didn't you hear what I just said? I said he hasn't posted for days." I said.
"Yes, but there's a possibility that he might have blocked you from seeing his posts or updates." After those words left her mouth I shook my head, "There's no way. He wouldn't do that."
"Well there's only one way to find out." She said giving me a look. I sighed and gave her his IG name and she searched up his name and what shocked me was that he did not only post a few hours ago on IG, but he also posted on his story.
"Wait, what?" I said sounding confused. I grabbed her phone and was about to tap on his story when my hands paused, "Wait, I shouldn't view his story." I said before handing her phone back to her.
"So what now?" She asked, before reaching over to wipe my wet cheeks. "Now I'm sure that I'm the problem but I don't know what I did." I said, looking at my reflection in the mirror.
"Hey, I'm sure you didn't do anything, it's alright. Hey, let's head to the nurse's office." Ha-ri said before cleaning my cheeks then led me out of the toilet.
We got to the nurse's office and we stayed there for a bit before going back to class. I sat in silence for the rest of the day, my mind was so blurry, I couldn't focus properly in class.
After classes, I stood up from my seat and packed my bag, "Let's go Ha-ri." I said in a monotone voice. Ha-ri nodded and got up, and we walked out of the class with Dae.
"Hey Ji-seo, are you alright now?" He asked in concern. I nodded my head, "Yeah, I'm alright." I said giving him a small smile that didn't reach my eyes. He nodded his head in understanding and we walked in silence to the school's parking lot.
We walked up to where Mr Park was waiting for us and Ha-ri and I got in after she kissed Dae goodbye. "How was school for you girls?" Mr Park asked us, driving us out of school.
"It was okay." I replied, my voice down. "What's wrong Miss Lee? You sound down. Is everything alright?" He asked in worry.
"No, she isn't alright. Can you please stop near a convenience store so we could get ice cream to cheer her up before the photo shoot?" Ha-ri politely asked. "Okay, Miss Jung."
He stopped near a convenience store so Ha-ri and I could get ice cream. Ha-ri got down, pulling me with her, "Come on let's go. What ice cream flavour would you like Mr. Park?" Ha-ri asked Mr. Park.
"No, I'll be fine. My wife told me not to eat sweet stuff like ice cream anymore." He chuckled. "Well, how's she going to know if you don't tell her." I said mischievously with a small grin.
Ha-ri looked at me in amusement, happy that I'm being happy again. She looked at Mr. Park, "You see, you eating ice cream would make Ji-seo happy, so I'm going to get one for you."
"As long I would love to make you happy Ji-seo but I have to listen to my wife. Happy wife, happy life." He said, still not giving in. "Can't argue with that." I said with a smile.
"Okay, but we will get ice cream for your daughter." Ha-ri said before rushing into the store with me. We picked out different ice cream flavours, even for Mr. Park's daughter and paid for everything before going back to the car.
We had some ice cream before we got to Ha-ri mum's office. After dropping us off, Mr. Park waved us goodbye and we entered the building.
