Andrew wanted to enjoy the time that he spent with his friends and family. He wanted to savor it, bask in the afterglow, but he was too excited about his upcoming honeymoon to truly appreciate those around him. They didn't seem to mind.
It was clear from the way that they were sharing glances and little smiles that they knew.
It had been different for Ben and Amir when they had gotten married. They had already been marked for eons it felt like, and Amir was with child. They had gone on a short trip after the wedding, but that had only been after Amir had been cleared for travel. It wasn't like Maxwell and Andrew's wedding.
They were doing the more traditional route, without the lack of intimacy that normally came with tradition. They had certainly not held back on that point. But they were leaving for their honeymoon pretty much immediately after their wedding.
