Henry stepped in, balancing a tray of refreshments in his hands. The spacious room was quiet, save for the subtle scratch of a pen against parchment.
Maverick sat at his desk, surrounded by tall stacks of papers that still needed reviewing and signing.
Without a word, Henry crossed the room and placed the tray neatly on the long table across from the desk. He straightened, then spoke with quiet concern.
"My lord, you should rest. You've been working since morning."
Maverick didn't lift his pen, only raised his head briefly to glance at Henry.
"It's fine, Henry. I'm nearly done."
