I decided to focus on the three remaining thugs in front of me but there faces said that they didn't want to fight anymore after seeing two of theirs die in one swing.
"Wait! let's talk about it!!" The heavily bearded man spoke who was harassing the girl.
"You want to save this girl right? We'll let her go if you'll let us go!!" The man again spoke.
I looked at the man's face and realised something.
'He is speaking in a different language...' I couldn't understand a word of the man said just now though it looked like he was surrendering with the way he moved his hands and his facial expressions which just screamed of how badly he wants to run away from here.
I pointed my spear at them at then pointed towards the road, signalling them to leave. and leave they did. They actually ran so fast I thought they also have a passive like mine.
I could have fought them instead of letting them get away but the girl could have been used as a hostage so this was better.
I walked to the girl still sitting on the ground and crouched. with as kind of a smile as I could muster I offered my hand to her and said.
"Are you alright lady?" I was expecting her to cry in wonder at my looks but all I heard was a scared scream of a woman who was expecting to get killed.
I looked at her weirdly. I am quite good looking right? Then why is she so scared?
"Is something wrong?" I asked again as the girl looked at me in fright. She pointed at me while still looking frightened. or more specifically, she pointed at my face.
I touched my face thinking if there was something wrong with it when I noticed something akin to facemask tightly hugging a large part of my face.
The blood dried! I had woken up in a puddle of blood this morning, and couldn't find water to wash it so it seems it dried on my face. And I had also forgotten about this...
"Well, it's...my own blood. you see, I...well, it's complicated." It would have taken too long to explain so I just ended it there. this is much more simple after all.
The girl didn't look as scared of me as before which was good. I think she got scared of the bloody smile that I had. though my smile wasn't scary, hack it was even sweet, covered in blood, it would make any sane person tremble.
"U-Um...Thank you for saving me!" the girl spoke but I couldn't understand her as she was speaking different language.
"...I don't understand what you are saying. I... don't have a pocket."
Hearing my words the girl's mouth formed an 'O' and she gestured for me to follow her. she was going back towards the carriage. I figured there might be a pocket there that must be why she wanted me to follow her.
I quietly started moving behind her and just then a window popped in front of me.
'Quest completed!
Quest:- Slain your enemy!
Objective: Slay one enemy.
Reward: 10 gold.'
There were three of the same type of panels all of which gave me 10 gold each. If I knew that there was going to be this kind of boon, I would have killed all of them to get 60 gold but I guess I can't be too greedy. 30 gold isn't so bad for my first harvest.
There would be more people in the tower that would become my enemies and even though 10 gold isn't much, it will stack up.
Besides, I should also check about any other quests. since most of them would be repeatable, I should look them up and try fulfilling ones whom I can.
Though it wasn't the right time to check on them right now so I just focused on the road. Soon we reached the carriage and the girl climbed onto it. she rummaged through the things in the carriage before taking out a black sphere which she handed to me.
The sphere bond with me on its own and as soon as I felt the connection, I commanded-
"Invisible mode!"
The black sphere disappeared and I looked at the small girl who was still staring at me from above the carriage.
"Thanks for that. also, do you have any water on you? I have to wash my face..."
I asked the girl while pointing at my blood dried face. the girl understood what I meant and handed me a leather bottle filled with water. I washed the dried blood from my face and hair. it took a while but I now felt refreshed.
After I was done, I held the bottle up towards the girl for her to take but the girl just kept staring at me with a mesmerized look. The blood had been washed away leaving my charming face to show the world it's amazing features. and it seems a girl has already fallen.
I smiled at her, knowing what was going on. As soon as I smiled, her face went beet red. she snatched the leather bottle from my hand and hurriedly walked inside.
"C-com'on, w-we have to reach the village before night time! H-hurry up and get on!"
I heard her voice and chuckled. I walked up the carriage and sat down behind the girl whose name I still don't know as she handled the horse and our carriage began to move.
"Um, by the way...which floor were we currently on?" I asked trying to be as casual as possible.
To be honest, I was still not sure if I really have entered the tower or not but I had to assume that I was at least that was what that old god promised.
"Did you forgot? we are on the 3rd floor of the tower. How can you forget that?"
"Well, you see...I had a head injury recently and well, my memories aren't so good anymore..." I lied without even feeling guilty.
"...Did you forget all your memories?" She asked as she turned around and looked at me with wide eyes.
"I forgot most of them. Like, I remembered about pockets and how the tower grands any wish if you climb it among a few others but I forgot most of my memories."
"I see..." she said with a bit sad look in her eyes.
"Did you not have any loved ones?" She again asked with the same sad look.
"I don't remember. but, I am thinking of climbing the tower to get my memories back, though I don't know how to start." Hearing me the girl stood up and turned towards me.
"Leave that to me!" She said as the small girl formed a fist and smacked her chest with it. she looked quite cute doing that. If she didn't look 14, I would have already made moves on her but I can wait for 4 more years.
"I'll take you to the place where you can directly go to the first floor. that's where you and all the others like you will start their climb of the tower. though I can only help you reaching that place, after that, you have to pass the test all on your own."
"Yes, I remembered that much. though I didn't know normal people can move up and down the tower."
"Moving up...is a bit more troublesome but moving down is no big brainer! we just have to reach The begining village where all the new regulars come after clearing 2nd floor test!"
"I see...then I will be in your care for a while, miss...."
"Ah! I forgot to tell you my name! urm- urm-" She cleared her throat and then looked straight at me.
"I am Sora! Nice to meet you, My saviour!"
"N-no need to call me that. my name is Amin. you can just call me that."
"Of course! anything for my SAVIOUR! Hehe..." She giggled as she turned away and again started handling the horse.

I guess it would take two more chapters before the first test begins.
