After an hour of looking for more precise locations of the book he sought, Silas made his way downstairs.
His golden eyes that were normally dull flickered with a hint of curiosity as he looked at the vampire that was no longer on the floor.
His friend had been kind enough to lay him on the couch and Silas stood by his side for a while, watching his sleeping face.
Ebenezer Ashford intrigued him.
Silas had hundreds of enemies but none had been as persistent in hunting him down when compared to the unconscious vampire that lay perfectly still.
His light silver hair was ruffled in a way that made little shadows dance across his closed eyes and a small smirk curled up on Silas' lips as he reached out and carried the vampire off the chair.
"I think you are obsessed with me." Silas murmured, both concerned and impressed with how consistent the vampire in his arms was.
