Meanwhile, Zed, who decided not to hoop but decided to go to the DEATHKNIGHTS building, went to the library to read a book. Zed was told once again by Cyrus to read the more important books and learn more about the Ancients. Zed then started faking what he read, but soon he noticed a hidden door at the back of the library. He knew about the special places with hidden entrances, but he never gave them a second thought. He got up from his seat, went over to the door, and went down. The more down he went, the darker it got. Soon it was blacked out, but as soon as he reached the end of the room, he saw a gray background. At the front was a screen that showed Zetsu panicking and trying to find a way out.
Now that it was nearly vacation, Cyrus left the house and got to his car. He had already planned a special vacation to bring the three to the beach: Zetsu. Zed. Ezio. Cyrus had a lesson he wanted to teach about the supernatural and fighting strong monsters. He waited at the car until Ezio appeared and hopped in; then they drove to the next location. Hours later, they arrived at the beach half-naked and dove for the sand. This, as they call it, was a naked party.
They ran over to the courts to start hooping. Since there was only three of them today, they played one on one on one. Basically, they would all play against one another. Ezio started dribbling, then scored a easy bucket. He kept scoring until the point differential was impossible to catch back up. That's when they decided to do horse. Each of us chose our favorite spots. Ezio chose behind the backboard. I chose full court. For some reason full court seemed possible, because the court was a little smaller than a gym court, but soon noticed that was not the case. Thus Zed has to go back to the college three-point line. Zetsu chose regular threes. We kept going back to our favorite spots. Eventually Ezio won that as well. Then we decided to do a three-point contest. Ezio started with the right side, as he kept shooting, he kept moving until he made it to the other side. He started with 3/5, then as he got to the end he started to go crazy with 3/5, 4/5 and 4/5 at the last racks The total makes Ezio had was 14/25. Soon it was Zetsu's turn. Zetsu started with 3/5 also same with Ezio, then when he got to the top of the key, he made 5/5. Then he ended off a little slow, but still his shooting performance was a 13/25. Then it was Zed's turn. He was sweating heavy for some reason. The started 5/5 to start, then slowed down a little, but by the end of it, Zed's performance was a solid 15/25. Somone from the crowd even called Zed a "Three-point-demon". I think I'll keep that title. I don't think I made much, but it's definitely not bad.
Cyrus then locked the car and told them all to behave first because he wanted to start with his lesson.
"Say you have to fight a powerful monster, what are the most important attributes to have? And how can you work on them?" Cyrus asked.
"Weapon mastery!" Zetsu blurted out as he spawned a new buster sword out of midair.
"I was literally going to say that!" Ezio shouted.
"That's a good answer. If your opponent is strong and fast, you need a way to counter them, and how can you work on that?" Cyrus continued.
"You can stop being lazy and pick up an actual weapon," Zetsu answered.
"And what about you, Ezio? You wanted to answer?"
Ezio thinks for a second, then says, "true accuracy".
Zed's eyes widen, then says "That's not fair."
"Wow, my students are smarter than I thought. And how can you work on that?" Cyrus continued.
"Hooping," Ezio said.
"Playing video games," Zetsu said.
Meanwhile, Zed tries to find a response. When Cyrus calls his name, Zed struggles to find the words.
"Uh, what about when you flex your arms. I don't know the word, but it's when you flex your
muscles."
Zetsu and Ezio laugh; meanwhile, Cyrus asks if he could say what that meant.
" When a strong enemy attacks you from behind, you notice their movements, and at the last second, you reach your arms behind your back and then ROAR! Throw them!" Zed yelled.
Cyrus then spoke, " I wasn't aware you knew about the Ancient Legend. nvm. forget that."
"What's the Ancient Legend?" Zetsu asked.
"Oh, it's nothing. I shouldn't have said anything." Cyrus apologized.
He then thinks the Ancient Legend must have something to do with all those disappearances.
Mehatto then shows up at the conversation.
"What do you want?" Cyrus asked politely, not wanting to show rudeness in front of his students.
Mehatto responds, saying he only wants to see how students are being taught these days and all the chaotic news going around. First, there were the gang members who attacked, and now these disappearances were going around. He wasn't sure what to think anymore, but he wanted to know if Cyrus knew anything he didn't know.
Cyrus: "Look, I don't know anything more than I said before. Now leave unless you want to settle another fight one-on-one."
Mehatto: "In front of your students, where you could risk losing? As if you would. You know, there is a lot that we both learned the past few days alone, but it seems not wanting to cooperate and share each other's info might just put that all to waste."
Ezio: "What is this conversation about?"
Mehatto: "Your teacher isn't teaching you this? I guess he really is only after information about the Ancients."
Cyrus: "Mehatto shut your mouth now!"
Mehatto: "What's the point. I know the truth already. I know it all."
All of a sudden, they heard shouting in the distance, and they looked toward the ocean to see a giant ship with a group of gang members. They laughed as they revealed their new weapons, cannons.
Chaos erupted around the beach, forcing Cyrus, Mehatto, and Zetsu to run one way, while Zed ran his own path. Ezio ran ahead. Upon getting to safety, Cyrus breathed a sigh of relief. At least now, Mehatto couldn't spill the truth to most of his students.
After some time had passed, Cyrus met up with some of his companions to talk about what had happened. None of the gang members could be found. They likely were sending a warning to scare them away.
Cyrus had talked with his companions and said that for the time being, the beach was closed off. Also, Cyrus had told Zed to go back to DEATHKNIGHTS because he would tell him what they'd do next to track down the ancient with the black tracksuit.
Zetsu turned and walked toward the beach, but Cyrus pulled him back.
"How am I supposed to go swimming now?"
One of Cyru's companions led Zetsu away, and Mehatto turned back to Zetsu. He had remained silent for a while, processing what he should say and what he shouldn't. At this point, spilling the truth was easier now that Cyru's students were gone.
"Look, we are both teachers here, Cyrus," Mehatto started.
"And both of us have tried to find out more about the Ancients."
"If you don't want to tell me what you know, that's fine. But why are you still not revealing your true goals to your students? That's not what a good teacher does.
