Chapter 5 - Chapter 5 - First day of class

Text(Great Hall)

With the Welcoming Feast over it was finally time to head to the Slytherin dorms. Harry didn't think much of the guy that led the group, but the same could not be said for the female a lovely girl with blonde hair green eyes that were not quite as bright as his but quite nice regardless. The pair ultimately led them down to the dungeons and after revealing the password 'Purity' opened the door.

"First years stay behind. Everyone else can do whatever they want." The girl spoke up and the older students left leaving the younger students alone.

"Let me be the first to welcome you to the Slytherin dorm. My name is Isabella Selwyn, and I am the Head Girl here at Hogwarts. That means amongst all the 7th years in the school, Professor Dumbledore chose me to represent us and that's a big deal because outside of the dorm we are not very well liked most of the time. If you ask most students, Slytherin is filled with evil wizards and witches and if you were brought there you're bad by default. Professor Snape will do what he can to help us with our daily lives, but that only works if we aren't stupid fools like Mr. Malfoy here who shouted that he'd challenge a fellow snake to a duel on the first day but then wouldn't reveal what was said to cause that issue." Isabella said coldly.

"I" Malfoy stuttered but Isabella was having none of it.

"Frankly I don't care what your excuse is. Professor Snape makes it a point to go out of his way to avoid taking points from Slytherin no matter what stupid stuff we do. For him to take 200 points from you before you've attended one class is a problem. Whatever issue you and Potter have ends now. You can hate each other all you want in private but in public we are united. There is a dueling chamber available, but I hope it doesn't come to that. Am I clear." Isabella said in a firm tone.

"Yes" Draco replied with a scowl on his face

"I have no problem with that." Harry replied with a smirk.

"Good. Now that we've settled that it's time to talk rooms. Glenn over here is a 5th year Prefect which means that he was selected amongst the Slytherin's 5th years to act as a representative. Truthfully this speech should've been made by Gemma Farley who's your 5th year prefect, but since I'm the Head girl, this year the speech hits a bit differently. Anyway, Glenn will lead the guys to their rooms, and I'll take the girls. Once you get into your room snap your fingers and one of the House elves will bring your stuff." Isabella smiled before pointing to a taller boy with sandy blonde hair and light blue eyes.

"Ms. Selwyn may I ask a question?" Harry wondered.

"Of course Mr. Potter.." Isabella said warmly much to Draco's annoyance.

"We didn't even know that we'd be Slytherin until earlier in the day and our trunks were left on the train. How will the elves get us our stuff and for that matter know whose stuff is which." Harry wondered. The reason he shrunk his things was because he couldn't trust anybody around his stuff.

Isabella smiled, "10 points to Slytherin Potter because it amazes me how everyone just takes that for granted. Having said that, I don't know how or why it works, but I've learned not to question it." Isabella replied. "If there's nothing else, the password is on the messenger board and it will change every so often so if you don't want to get locked out, pay attention. Quidditch tryouts start in 2 weeks so give it your all. Professor Snape's office is over there but don't call him unless absolutely necessary. He hates people who waste his time. Other than that, time for bed." Isabella finished.

After that, Glenn took them to their rooms and Harry's first day was over without any drama. The fact he had a single room was a boon and one he certainly intended to enjoy down the road.

Harry woke up in his new room with a smile on his face as he prepared for what was sure to be a fascinating first day. Checking the tempus charms on the room he saw that it was 5:00 am and if Sirius was any indication most wizards were not up this early besides him. Grabbing the letter he pinned for Sirius he switched into a casual long-sleeved shirt and jeans and walked downstairs hoping to get to the owlery to send his message. He just cleared the pathway that led to the dungeons when he ran into a familiar face, "Up early as always I see." Tonks smiled in her favorite jacket and Weird Sisters shirt with some ripped jeans.

"Yes and I can't help but wonder what you're doing here." Harry replied.

"I figured you'd want to tell Sirius what happened as soon as possible, but I knew you wouldn't know where the owlery was. I figured I'd help you out and we can go together" Tonks answered..

"I was going to use the Locator charm to track Hedwig since the spell works for animals also." Harry replied nonchalantly before snapping his fingers to activate the locator and walked towards the Halls

Tonks nodded her approval as she followed him, "Nice move. That locator spell will come in real handy for you in a place like this.."

"Agreed and I was hoping it would be a trump card for me and it would've been if not for a certainly meddling kid" Harry said with an annoyed tone.

Tonks blushed as her hair went pink with embarrassment, "My bad on that one Harry, but since you sat with them in the Great Hall it looks like it worked out." Tonks replied.

"We'll see." Harry said flatly. He fooled Lyra for certain, but Daphne was another story.

"Speaking of the Great Hall, that was very clever of you pointing out that nobody should know any magic and as a result making a duel much harder to execute." Tonks smiled trying to change the subject. One of the worst kept secrets in the magical world was the fact that wizarding families taught their kids magic at a young age and it was something they desperately tried to hide from Muggles.

"If not for Flitwick I could've gotten out of it scot free but I got lucky that Draco made himself look so bad.." Harry twitched.

Tonks winced because that was the second screw up. Change of subject required once more, "Speaking of looking bad. What the fuck did Weasley do to lose 100 points the moment he got sorted." Tonks wondered.

"Short version of a long story is he pissed me off, so I sent him flying into Draco. The two idiots argued even when McGonagall was there and when she asked what happened he said something really stupid."

Tonks winced but this time at the incident, "Oh boy. I actually feel bad for McG since that's going to make the staff meeting pretty awkward..

"Explain." Harry frowned

"The Weasley's are some of Dumbledore's oldest supporters and there are seven kids in the family if you can believe it."

"Seven!" Harry said in shock

"Yup. The oldest is Bill who graduated 3 years ago, Charlie graduated last year Percy is a 5th year Prefect and Fred and George are 3rd years. You met Ron and the final one is Ginny who's going to be a firstie next year. I don't know much about Ron and Ginny but, Bill was a good dude and Charlie was an awesome seeker. Percy is a wanker, but my favorite are the twins Fred and George." Tonks said cheerfully.

"Why's that." Harry wondered.

"They're pranksters and damn good ones. They're not as good as your pops and Sirius but with the help of the map, they'll cause quite a bit of mischief." Tonks smiled.

Harry's eyes widened, "They have the Marauder's Map!" Harry gasped. He heard about the map from Sirius and his dad. The legendary map that allowed them to find anybody in the school without question.

"Yep. I saw them with it during one of my Prefect patrols last year. I decided to ignore them and checked with Sirius to make sure everything's okay. Since he approved, I left the map to them."

"Sounds good." Harry smiled. If they approved, he wouldn't say anything.

The two soon arrived at the owlery and delivered their messages to Sirius. In Harry's case it was telling him about the incidents on the train and Great Hall making sure to protect Lyra while Tonks was getting into the stuff she heard after Draco shouted at everyone. With their business done it was time to return to the dorms, "So Harry. Weve got a good hour until people start going down for breakfast.. How about I show you one of my favorite places in the school."

"Where's that." Harry wondered curiously.

"The Prefect's bath. That way we can get you all nice and clean for your first day." Tonks said with a sultry smile. She knew he was still pissed at her for what happened so she figured she could enjoy a nice bath and make up for her screwup by letting Harry pound her senseless.

"Sounds like a plan." Harry chuckled well aware of Tonk's intention and perfectly okay with her 'apology'.

(Scene Skip)

Harry walked into the Great Hall with a smile on his face after enjoying a wonderful bath and Tonk's amazing body. To his slight annoyance he got back too late to go with everyone to breakfast but thanks to the Locator spell it was a simple task to find them. As he arrived, he walked over and spotted an empty spot this time next to Daphne with Lyra and Tracey sitting across from them and made his way over. "Morning guys." Harry smiled. Outside of their group everyone was in the same spots as before.

"Where were you this morning Harry. The prefect was going to lead us to breakfast but you weren't there." Lyra asked worriedly.

"Lyra here was not happy, and everyone thought she and Draco were going to duel because he said nobody should care if a loser like you wanted to skip breakfast." Julie smiled.

"Quiet Runcorn." Lyra said with a blush.

"I was handling some business in the owlery." Harry answered..

"What kind of business." Daphne frowned.

"Family business." Harry replied.

"I see." Daphne replied with an odd expression on her face. The Malfoy siblings were both bothered by that since the only business that would come to mind was him contacting Sirius.

"Something wrong." Harry smiled ignoring the Malfoy twins.

"We'll talk later." Daphne replied with a frown on her face.

"Okay." Harry nodded and they focused on breakfast. Things were pretty peaceful but in the back of his mind he was counting down the minutes until the Prophet arrived. Since asking the owls to travel to Diagon every morning to get a paper would be utterly stupid, there was a spot in the owlery that had the various morning papers for students and the owls were smart enough to grab what their masters required.

After another 20 minutes the owl's started flying in and Harry cracked a smile, "What's that look for Potter." Blaise wondered.

"Who cares Zabini? If Potter wants to be weird, that's on him." Pansy Parkinson sneered from her spot.

Harry rolled his eyes as he watched students get the paper and he saw one Ravenclaw barely stop himself from spitting his pumpkin juice out. Glancing at the teacher's table he noticed Professor Flitwick was absolutely giddy and when he showed McGonagall the headline she was stunned also.

"Whoa. Everyone who reads the Prophet is losing their mind for a reason." Tracey frowned.

"We'll find out in a second." Lyra replied as she noticed her owl flying with her copy of the paper. Grabbing the paper, she opened it up and her eyes widened as did those of everyone near them thanks to the Prophet's first page headline.

THE FAMILY WHO LIVED

Below the headline was a photo of Lily and James Potter with Harry smiling as they stood by the Hogwarts Express. "Oh." Lyra said blankly as everyone looked towards Harry.

Harry was about to say something when he felt a powerful probe head towards his mind. One that he easily repelled punishing the attacker as he would anybody who tried to read his mind without permission. Harry was curious who would do something so stupid, but he got his answer when Professor Snape screamed in pain before collapsing onto his breakfast. "So… who's going to give us our timetables." Harry said with a wry smile.

Everyone looked on in horror as an older woman quickly grabbed Snape and pulled him off the table before putting him on the floor away from the view of the students as she tried to try and figure out what happened to him. "SILENCE!" Dumbledore roared after casting what Harry knew to be a Sonorous charm to take care of his voice. "Madam Pomfrey will take care of Professor Snape. Meanwhile Ms. Selwyn will take care of timetables for the Slytherin's in his stead. As for the shocking article, I suggest that you read the article itself because it will answer any questions that you may have for Mr. Potter." Dumbledore spoke politely but on the inside he was absolutely stunned. Lily and James were alive and had been in hiding for twelve years and he had absolutely no idea. He would have to read the article himself at some point but right now he needed to regain control

Harry smiled as things calmed down, but it wasn't long before people were passing the article to their friends and reading it. 'Well done Mom Dad.' Harry thought to himself. While most people read the article and tried to figure out what was going on, Isabella approached him having walked up to grab the first-year timetables.

'Here are your timetables guys." Isabella said calmly before handing everything out.

Harry looked at the timetable and instantly groaned because they had Transfiguration with Gryffindor first and that meant Harry would start his day with Weasley, "Fun start for us" Harry snorted

"Yep. We have to deal with that ponce to start the day." Lyra scowled. She was furious about Weasley calling her family evil. Her dad was a bastard, and she knew it, but her mom was a saint in how she handled things.

'Agreed but don't do anything to him unless he acts first." Harry said calmly.

"That's fine with me. I can't speak for Draco." Lyra frowned looking at Draco who looked extremely uncomfortable.

"Still, what happened to Snape." Tracey frowned.

"Good question." Daphne replied before staring at Harry.

"What are you looking at me for." Harry said innocently.

"Because this article about your parents is the reason most of the school is losing its minds." Daphne countered with a wry smile.

"Fair point." Harry shrugged.

"Yeah. Everyone's heard the story of the Boy Who Live and how he somehow survived the killing curse. Now, it looks like not only did you survive but your whole family did." Tracey said with a bit of excitement in her voice.

"It makes the Boy Who Lived books even more interesting in hindsight." Daphne teased.

"Oh yea, especially given what happened at the end of Veela Vacation." Julie revealed.

"Didn't know you were a fan of the books Julie." Harry teased. Julie wasn't one of the girls who sent him photos over the years, and he couldn't remember her name in any messages. Then again, once he saw the photos they occupied his attention more than the messages.

Julie blushed, "I may have read a few out of curiosity."

"Got it." Harry smiled.

"Save some for the rest of us Potter." Blaise smiled causing Julie Daphne Tracey and Lyra to blush..

"I'm sure you can find somebody Blaise. After all my reputation as the Boy Who Lived might take a hit after all this." Harry smiled.

"Who knows." Blaise chuckled.

Over by Draco, he finally got up and walked towards the teacher's area with concern on his face. "You know. I've never seen Draco look that concerned about anybody." Daphne mused. She was Lyra's childhood friend and very familiar with house Malfoy and it's residents.

"Snape is his godfather and both of us have known him since we were babies. I'm nowhere near as close but I do understand how he feels right now." Lyra mused.

"I can see it. Well, let's hope our dear Professor is on his feet soon." Harry smiled. He could've exposed Snape but that would be too boring at this point. His message should've been delivered quite clearly already.

"Yeah" everyone, nodded and breakfast continued with nobody else willing to talk.

(Scene Skip)

Harry knew Transfiguration was going to be fun the moment he walked in and saw a tabby cat sitting on the desk in front and no McGonagall in sight. Harry of course knew the truth, but he wanted to have some fun in the process. Making his way over to the seats he sat at the front and was pleasantly surprised to see Tracey sit next to him with Daphne and Lyra sitting behind them. Blaise and Theo sat together with Lilith and Julie acting as partners. The Carrow twins naturally sat together as did Crabbe and Goyle with Draco and Pansy at the back. Unfortunately Millicent was without a partner in the middle of the class between the Carrows and Lilith and Julie.

It wasn't long before the Gryffindor's piled in and Harry watched them take their places but notably Ron Weasley was not among them. Neville Longbottom gave him a frustrated look as he sat next to a bushy-haired girl. He would have to talk to Neville later but for now it was time to show off a bit. Getting up from his seat he walked over to the desk and smiled, "Hey guys should I give Minnie here some milk or some Sassenach Whisky." Harry teased.

"You don't give Whisky to a cat. That's horrible." Hermione gasped.

Harry was about to respond when Ron Weasley ran into the room, "Phew. Looks like I'm not late." Ron said weakly.

Harry had a nice insult right on his tongue but before he could say it the cat jumped up and transformed into Professor McGonagall to the shock of the class, "Actually Mr. Weasley you are and that will be 5 points from Gryffindor for being late to your first class." McGonagall frowned..

"Fine" Ron frowned as he went to sit down.

"Like I said, should I get some milk or Sassenach." Harry smirked.

McGonagall rolled her eyes, "If you must give me some Whisky I prefer Johnnie Walker's Mr. Potter. Take 10 points to Slytherin for figuring out it was me and since I found your antics quite amusing I won't take off points this time for your cheek." McGonagall smiled.

"Good to know." Harry replied before going back to his seat.

The bit of fun over McGonagall's expression turned stern, "Welcome to Transfiguration which at its most basic is the art of changing one object to another. What you just witnessed is a special transformation that we won't get into until your 5th year. It is EXTREMELY dangerous, and I would take quite a lot of points off any of you for even thinking of trying it beforehand should I find out."

"What about after our fifth year." Harry said cheekily.

"Like father and uncle, like son." McGonagall replied with a chuckle.

"They'd take that as a compliment." Harry smiled.

McGonagall rolled her eyes again, "Anyway. Your first lesson will be to transform a matchstick into a needle." McGonagall smiled before reaching under the desk and grabbing a large box.

'The lesson plan hasn't changed.' Harry thought to himself. Tonks had the same lesson for her first year and now he was getting a repeat. McGonagall finished handing them out and everyone went to work.

Harry smiled as he grabbed his wand, and he gave his wand a small swish and flick transforming the matchstick into a needle on his first day. "No way." Tracey gasped and McGonagall looked towards the desk and saw the needle.

"Let me see how well you've done Mr. Potter." McGonagall smiled and she walked over to grab the needle just to be stunned by how firm it was.

"What do you think Professor." Harry asked rhetorically.

"I think that 25 points should be awarded to Slytherin. This is a perfect needle and I daresay I could use it right now if I wished."

"Glad you like it Professor and feel free to keep it." Harry smiled.

As McGonagall left he could see the other students looking at him with awe while the bushy haired girl seemed frustrated, 'Something to pay attention to.' Harry thought to himself, but his focus was quickly turned back to his partner.

"Harry how'd you do that so easily." Tracey wondered.

Harry knew everything that was coming this year thanks to Tonks and practiced it once he got his books but saying that would be boring, "Transfiguration is about changing one object into another using magic as a medium right?"

"Yes." Tracey replied.

"So first imagine the needle and then put the image of the needle over the image of the matchstick. Then focus the amount of magic you think is required to change it." Harry explained.

"I see" Tracey smiled as she focused her magic and to her surprise, and the surprise of those paying attention, it turned into a needle.

McGonagall walked over with a smile grabbed the needle, "Not quite Ms. Davis but very close. I suggest using a bit more power and then you will have a perfect needle."

"Thanks Professor." Tracey replied. Soon everyone was doing it and despite quite a few struggles, most of the class had it done. The lone exception was a frustrated Ron Weasley much to the amusement of the Slytherins.

"Class that was an excellent job and I'm proud of all of you. For those unable to complete it, we will resume during the next class. For those who did complete it, please attempt the transformation again to get used to the feeling because this is just a basic application" McGonagall said calmly. With that Transfiguration was over and Harry's first class ended without incident.

(Scene Skip)

Harry was all smiles as he sat on one of the couches in the common room as they enjoyed a break. His second class of the day was History of magic with the Hufflepuffs and while the class was utterly boring thanks to their teacher having a very unappealing voice, the same could not be said of the girls in Hufflepuff. On multiple occasions he spotted Susan Bones staring at him as he sat between Lyra and Daphne, and she wasn't the only one. Hannah Abbott and Megan Jones also gave him some nice looks. "Seems I'll have quite the bit of fun." Harry muttered as he tried to relax.

"Hey firstie. You're on my couch." An older boy with a brown hair and matching eyes said with a hint of annoyance

"Last time I checked this is a common room. This couch is for everyone." Harry said before focusing on the book. There were plenty of couches available which is why it was so sad that he insisted on this one. Then again, to the left he had a great view of the lake and to the right was basically the entire common room. It was really a great spot

The boy got angry, "Well I'm taking this couch got it." The boy said again.

"Nope. Last time I checked I have every right to this seat. Who are you by the way." Harry frowned.

"The names Higgs brat and that's all you need to know."

Harry sighed, "Got it. You're just a neanderthal." Harry sighed before focusing on his book again.

"Why you!" Higgs roared before grabbing his wand and pointing it at Harry.

"That's enough Higgs." Isabella Selwyn shouted walking towards them in anger.

"But Isabella. This half-blooded brat should be listening to his betters." Higgs replied.

Harry rolled his eyes, but Isabella wasn't having that, "Higgs! That's enough." Isabella said again.

Harry smiled, "That's right Higgs. Listen to your betters." Harry taunted causing Higgs to glare furiously at him.

"That's enough Potter. I don't care who started it but I'm finishing it." Isabella said sternly.

'Fine by me. I was just trying to relax." Harry replied.

"Alright. Higgs get out of here. I don't want to take points." Isabella scowled.

Higgs glared at the two of them before relenting, "Hey brat."

"Yes Neanderthal."

"You know anything about Quidditch?" Higgs questioned.

"I know a thing or two."

"Then make sure you show up for tryouts. Dueling you would be a waste of time, so I'll give you a chance to prove yourself." Higgs said cockily.

"Fine by me." Harry smiled. He was right that dueling was a waste of time but for him not the other way around.

Higgs huffed before leaving with Isabella sighing as she walked away. Not long after she did Lyra and Daphne walked over nervously with Tracey not far behind. "What was that all about." Lyra scowled.

"He was being a neanderthal and I wasn't having it." Harry replied nonchalantly.

"Best not to make too many enemies if you can help it." Daphne said in an even tone

"Hey. I was minding my own business." Harry shrugged.

"Maybe but be careful Harry. A lot of people are tense right now after what happened this morning." Lyra said nervously. That of course referred to both Snape and the article.

Harry smiled before getting, "I'll be fine." Harry smiled before wrapping his arms around Lyra's waist and pulling her into a hug.

"What are you doing" Lyra gasped..

"You were clearly worried about me. This hug is so you know I'm just fine." Harry answered.

"Whatever" Lyra huffed as she enjoyed the hug for a bit before pulling away.

'My turn" Tracey replied.

"I'm next after that." Daphne smiled.

Harry could only roll his eyes at the girl's antics, but he wasn't going to say no. "Fine fine" Harry chuckled and he hugged both girls before returning to his book and relaxing.

(Grimmauld Place)

Sirius Black was all smiles as he relaxed on a chair in his sitting room with his robe mostly open, "I love these visits of ours Cissy" Sirius said with a smile as he looked down at his cousin Narcissa Black bobbing up and down his cock in just a black bra and panties.

"Yes. Thankfully you still think with your cock like you did back in the day." Narcissa replied with a teasing smile.

"Thankfully for you at least." Sirius smiled. After he brought Andromeda back into House Black, Lucius sent Narcissa to negotiate to ensure that Sirius didn't use their bad blood to ruin him. Narcissa was more than happy to help knowing that Sirius was a rampaging pervert and prior to getting betrothed, he enjoyed a sexual relationship with her and her sister Bellatrix. As he enjoyed the latest blowjob he was surprised to see a familiar pair of birds appear in the room.

"Expecting some mail." Narcissa said with a wry smile.

"No. especially from Harry or Dora" Sirius frowned.

Narcissa stopped because it was barely noon on what should've been their first day, "What could've happened already." Narcissa frowned.

Sirius took the letter from Harry first and read it with a scowl on his face, "Well, this just got awkward." Sirius frowned after finishing it.

"What happened." Narcissa frowned.

"Read for yourself." Sirius replied before handing the note to his cousin.

Dear Sirius,

It's barely been a day at Hogwarts and already fun things are happening that I thought you should know about. I was minding my own business on the train when I overheard Draco Malfoy say the most interesting thing. He said, 'I'm looking for Harry Potter. If the only person he's spoken to in the past 12 years is that Ruffian Sirius Black, he'll need a proper wizard to teach him what's what.' I'd be very concerned about that if I were you, but the fun doesn't stop there. In the middle of the Great Hall we got into an argument that devolved into him talking about you as a blood traitor and saying that House of Black has fallen if they'd accept a leader like him. Oh and to make things more fun he decided to challenge me to a duel hoping to first get House Black and when that failed he went after my heirship. Thankfully Snape of all people intervened and put a stop to this. Oh and I know you said to be careful, but I did befriend Lyra on the train, and we get along pretty well. When Draco said what he did she looked disgusted and made it clear it was his view only, so if you're going to punish anybody punish him.

Love,

Harry

PS I'm in Slytherin House but don't worry. I'll take care of any fool who tries to mess with me.

Narcissa was furious, "Draco you absolute fool."

"I'm almost afraid to see what Tonks said." Sirius replied as he took Tonk's letter. Thankfully it was just a replay of the Draco incident from her eyes with very little context.

"So. Would you like me to tell Lucius…about Draco and not about the fact that his daughter is friends with Harry Potter."

"Please do but speaking of Lyra. I wonder how long it will be before she's doing for Harry what you're doing for me." Sirius teased.

Narcissa rolled her eyes, "If Harry is anything like you it won't be long."

"If she's anything like her mother, Harry is in for a good time." Sirius smiled.

Narcissa rolled her eyes, "Why don't you get some food for these lovely owls and then I can apologize for my son's foolish words."

"Sure" Sirius said with a wolfish grin, and he got up to grab some pre-made bacon strips that he had ready for the owls. He may be annoyed at Draco's words, but Cissy would more than make up for that later.

Notes:• Isabella Selwyn is an OC of Megamatt09. One of the admittedly boring problems with HP is the lack of people they give you so it's necessary to use OC's. Glenn is my OC, but I didn't give him a last name because frankly he was just to get to that scene.

• If I offended anybody Scottish with the McGonagall scene I apologize but it was all in good fun.

• Something to be prepared for is that I'm going to try and keep to a centralized schedule in the stories moving forward so I may have continuity errors on what happens during what days. Events will happen around the same time as canon but since Harry is Slytherin there are obvious changes.

• Harry's going to have a very large harem, but I won't get into members really until they show up in chapters since it avoids spoilers and as a person who reads a lot, it makes anticipation more fun.

• I have a few plans for Quidditch so get ready for those
