"Wake up, Alex! Why are you sleeping on the porch?"
Sophia and Mary were standing by the door in their pajama, looking confused by Alex leaning on one of the porch pillars.
"Finally, took you guys long enough... What time is it?" Alex asked first as he quickly got up from the floor with the bag.
"Eight o'clock right now... What's in the bag?" Sophia curiously asked as they entered back inside the house.
"Breakfast."
After closing the door and walking over to the dining table, Alex quickly revealed the croissant inside.
"Where did you bring this?"
"I went to Emily's store since there was no food at home. Come on, hurry up and eat it. We still have school today."

As the three of them arrived at the classroom by themselves, every single one of their classmates was already there.
The room was dead silent. No noise other than pages being flipped. Everyone was silently studying with their notes and textbooks out on their desk.
