"It's a pity." Jessi suddenly sighed, her eyes dimming with a trace of sadness.
The Cicada Devil Sect's ancestor frowned at her strange expression. "What's a pity?"
"I pity myself… for ever thinking highly of trash like you who can only bark and bite behind one's back. No different than a dog."
Her words struck like venom. Their faces twisted, ugly as rotting potatoes.
"Humph! We'll see how long your tongue dares spit such arrogance!"
"Come! Let me see how much you have improved." Jessi directly flew outside the protective formation.
"Sect master..!" Few elders were alarmed. They didn't want her to go outside the protective formation because her state wasn't good.
Jessi's aura was overwhelming, her dao sovereign aura raged like a crushing tide, drowning everyone present. Even her enemies staggered, their breath caught in their throats.
The bald monk's expression turned grave. With a swift gesture, dozens of formation disks lit up. "Activate!"
Ray of light flashed in ten directions, instantly creating a battle net. People can only enter but not leave. Jessi glanced at the formation and praised, "Not bad." It was as if she wasn't the one who was being targeted.
Bald monk snorted coldly without saying anything. Then he signalled with hand gestures.
At his signal, a hundred cultivators advanced. All of them were from the golden buddha mountain, blossom flower sect, armed demon sect and cicada devil sect.
They came in group, each group carried a large cannon. When the cannons arrived, spectators took in a deep breath of air.
"Saint Blaster Cannons!" someone exclaimed.
"There must be fifty of them!"
"Obviously it's either the Blade wing sect or the sea dragon palace lent it to them…There is no way they could own so many saint blaster cannon." People commented one after another.
"One saint blaster cannon can blast a saint into pieces… that's why it's called saint blaster cannon. Big sects would only use it during wars, siege fights or capturing cities. If it was just one or two, or even ten, it couldn't hurt her. But I don't know if she could withstand the bombardment of so many cannons." A big shot from another region spoke.

Over fifty cannons roared in unison, their destructive beams blazing across the night like falling suns. People could see the terrifying fire power of the cannons from the distance. Just one shot could kill a saint, turn them into ash and smoke. Now, so many were fired at one target, and the target was a dao sovereign. They were curious to see if she can withstand it or not.
The elders from the Locust sect felt their hearts coming out of their throat.
Few moments later, the light dimmed inside the battle net. Everyone saw a blurry figure standing proud behind the hot smoke.
"She's alive!"
"Sure enough, you are very difficult to kill… continue to fire! Let me see how long she can withstand." Golden buddha sect's ancestor ordered loudly.
"Boom, boom, boom." The ground continued to tremble violently as the cannons were being fired without pause.
For a while, the dark sky was filled with bright yellow beams as loud sounds echoed across the ruin. The area Jessi was standing were blasted to smithereens.
Only when those cultivators were gasping for breath after firing for so long they stopped.
The light faded, dusts and smoke cleared up.
Jessi stood there unharmed. When everyone saw this, their eyes almost popped out.
Golden budda mountain's ancestor's eyelids twitched at this sight.
Jessi's blue hair fluttered with the wind. Not a spec of dust could be seen on her white robe. Under the night sky she looked like a fairy from the legend. There was a small black umbrella on her hand.
"A Demi god level defensive treasure!" Chu Yang instantly recognised the treasure on her hand. His eyes flickered with greed.
"Locust sect's leader! You are so shameless, do you dare to fight us without using external items..?!" Blossom flower sect's ancestor roared.
"Oh? Aren't you attacking me with external items as well? When i defend myself with something external you call me shameless?" Jessi laughed, her voice was melodious and powerful.
"Your cultivation is stronger than us. So what if we use external items…" Said the Bald monk from golden buddha mountain.
Chu Yang couldn't stand the bickering anymore. He saw through that she was trying to buy time. So he yelled angrily. "Enough chitchat! Go and kill her for me." He ordered.
The old enemies of Jessi took action one after another as they jumped inside the battle net.
"You do realise that you can't leave the battle net either right?" Jessi asked them with curiosity. She wanted to see what made these old fox so confident.
"Of course we know." Their lips curled into sinister smiles. Each took out a jet black pill and swallowed it without hesitation.
As soon as they swallowed the pill, their face contorted. Eyes turned red, body enlarged and becoming five meters tall. All of them had ferocious expressions on their faces. But most importantly their cultivation sky rocketed. All of them were peak heavenly king at first, but after the pill was taken, they became Dao sovereign.
A strong Dao sovereign aura radiated from them, causing the spectators to be astounded.
"How could this be!"
"A secret pill!"
"This is probably a secret pill concocted by a powerful alchemist…!"

He solemnly took out a palm sized box, inside it was a green coloured stone.
"Bloodbane stone!" Jessi instantly recognised the green stone. As soon as the stone appeared, she felt a violent suppression in her blood and Qi. Her face turned pale white.
"To suppress me with the bloodbane stone someone must've given you my blood. Who did it?" Jessi asked. This time she was no longer as casual as before.
"Hehehe take a guess yourself…" All of them laughed.
Jessi's eyes darkened, frost gathering in her pupils. She understood, there was a traitor in her sect.
