Chapter 38 - Chapter 38

As Myne was leaving after giving Reva her latest report, she was still a Director, despite everything that had happened. Thus, she still carried out her role as one, but rather then trying to take back and rule over land she never knew outside her small isolated village, which she no longer even remembered because of how Reva's roboticization works on others both in body and mind, she focused her efforts instead on working with Cami and Page for the most part. Cami was the overseer for the entire settlement, as she handled basically everything because Reva did not want to do anything himself that did not interest him. Dealing with the minor day to day things were not something that he wanted to consider and/or involve himself with at all. Those things are the handle of all those things that take place in the southern side of the settlement. That was an area that she was left to handle on her own, and she had been doing so rather well. Answering all the needs and wants of those who were a part of the southern side of the settlement. Cami is taking care of the other three directions herself, handling all the issues and things that came up there herself.

Myne was handling the various issue that were present within the area of the settlement that she had left in charge, when the original elder of the isolated village that the settlement started from came up to her. He no longer recalls being the elder of this area nor the one in charge anymore. Those roles were no longer his to claim, as Reva was the leader, Cami was his subordinate, and Page was Cami's helper. That was how it had always been to everyone, and they did not question or think about it beyond this point. Page herself, being just a helper, was not technically in charge of handling anything officially, as she just did whatever she wanted, and that was normally something that benefited Reva and/or the settlement in the process.

The former elder now just old man looking automaton was in a leadership position, at least not one that was equalivent to what he originally was anymore. He was more just the one that gather the issues and concerns of the resident of the settlement itself, and then present them to either Cami, Myne, or Page. They were placed in that order because that's how things went. If it was something minor, that it was something Page was told. Something that above being minor and had far more details and complexation to it, then it was left to Myne. Everything above that was left with Cami, with being in the Southern area of the settlement being left to Myne though, unless it surpass her, but at the same time did not reach Reva's level. Reva did not do much of anything if it did not threaten the settlement itself, as he was just left to his own devices. Again, leaving everything like that to those who were directly under him or followed him in Page's case. Carter and his mother, Alya, were left alone to do what they wanted. Carter is hanging around Page as normal, and Alya is just doing what she normally does, like everyone else still.

"Greetings, Director," the old man said as he approached Myne.

Her role as a Director being how she was known and treated through the settlement, as her status as translate to being called that just like how Cami was called Lady or Reva was called Lord. Their name was added to the end at time, but they were not always included. As they were not called Director Myne, Lady Cami, or Lord Reva by everyone every time they were being addressed by someone within the settlement itself.

Another role that the old man filled now was that he was the one who filled in everyone who became a part of the settlement after their roboticization in on the various working and dealings of it. It was framed in such a manner that it was a casual conversation between them and him, as that is how they were filled in on the details of the region. Merely having their memories altered to be a part of the settlement did not mean that they actually knew everyone and everything immediately. Everyone else had them added into their memories, but the fine detail only worked itself out over time as they spent time within the region of reality rather than just what their programming and altered memories tell them that they have. Thus, the role of the old man automaton was that he was the one who filled them in on all the finer and smaller details of things. Not that he nor the other automaton were aware of this, as it was just framed as merely him talking with them and them doing so for a prolonged period of time. Thus, they were smoothly melded into the settlement as if they had always been here in the first place. The only expection to this being Alya, who was part of the original isolated village, but everyone else that became a part of the what it after everyone and herself was roboticized. How thing went with Alya was that she actually had to met them directly and just assumed whatever role and place the new resident had in the settlement as one they always had. Her memories were never altered to fit them in, but instead she just accepted them and built new memories with them from that point onward.

"Hey, how's it doing with you?" Myne replied.

Her tone with him show that she views him as someone that she has always known, despite that being the opposite.

"There some issues I would like you to look into that have been brought to my attention," he told her.

As Myne then listened to the various things that he had to tell her about what was concerning the resident of the settlement at the current the moment, after going around gather up all them directly himself. They did not just give them to Myne directly because that just how things were as result of how Reva was.
