Chapter 14 - End of Summer Break and Meet The Parents

This year's summer vacation was incredibly rewarding for everyone. Ayaka and Momo finally got together, Jirō and Kaminari shared a kiss and started dating 2 weeks later. Although Ayaka still hasn't beaten Fatalis in Monster Hunter or Moorwing in Silksong, that didn't matter considering the trade-off.

Currently, Ayaka was enduring the endless hell that people called "Math Class." To kill some time, she invited Jirō to a tic-tac-toe showdown, losing 3 out of 5 games. They played some hangman too; this time Ayaka won most of the matches. The dull scratching of chalk on the blackboard filled the background as numbers and formulas blurred together, none of which Ayaka cared to pay attention to. Seeing that the teacher wasn't paying attention to them, Ayaka pulled out her phone and loaded her Pokémon Emerald save on her emulator.

It didn't take long for her fun to come to an end. Ayaka felt an evil presence behind her, as if she was being stared at by the gaze of a demon—the demon in question being her teacher.

"Get out."

"Yes ma'am." As a defeated female, Ayaka left the classroom and stood in the hallway.

The hallway was empty, the polished floor reflecting the dull glow of the overhead lights. Occasionally, someone left their class and greeted Ayaka, but that was about it. Finally, someone she actually wanted to talk with came out of her classroom—it was Momo.

When Momo passed Ayaka, she was surprised. While Ayaka wasn't exactly a model student, she wasn't one to get thrown out of class.

"What're you doing outside?"

She joined her hands in a prayer position and replied, "I'm paying for my sins."

Seeing her antics, Momo couldn't help but laugh. "And how long will it take until you've atoned?"

"Until the end of the class. But my fair maiden, I am but a humble sinner, I can't stand here for long without proper nourishment. Would you be so kind as to energize me with a hug and a kiss?" It would be an understatement to say that ever since they started dating, the shackles of shame that once bound Ayaka had disintegrated. Even when out in public like this, she wasn't afraid to ask for a kiss. In this case there wasn't anyone around, but they were still at school.

Momo looked around and saw no one, so she decided to comply with Ayaka's request. They hugged each other for over a minute, and when Momo let go she gave Ayaka a simple peck on the lips.

"That's all you're getting right now. Next time you get kicked out of class you're not even getting a hug, let alone another kiss." Her tone was playful, but Ayaka knew she was serious.

"You're so mean!" She pouted in protest of her girlfriend's behavior.

At the end of the class, Ayaka came back inside and the day went on without any other major events, except for one.

When Ayaka was walking Momo home, she was surprised by something she said. "When I get home, do you want to stay for a bit?" This question was very misleading to Ayaka's pervy heart, but because of Momo's tone she realized that was not what she had in mind.

"Why do you ask?"

"Well, I told my parents about us and they were very interested in meeting you. Even though we've known and dated each other for months, you haven't seen my parents once." It was obvious that she was disappointed; after all, Momo had met Ayaka's father before when she went to the flower shop, and also after they became girlfriends on multiple occasions. But Ayaka only went to Momo's house a few times, and all of them her parents were out or traveling for business.

"I've never met anyone's parents in the position of being a girlfriend. How am I supposed to greet them?"

"Like a normal person would, stop overthinking it. They're not monsters." Those comforting words helped ease her nervous heart.

"I'm home!" Momo announced loudly, earning her parents' attention as they quickly arrived at the entrance.

"Welcome home, sweetie." Her mother greeted Momo warmly, then turned towards Ayaka. "And you must be Ayaka! Momo has told us so much about you." Chisato proceeded to hug Ayaka with bear-like strength, as if greeting her own daughter.

"It's a pleasure to meet you, ma'am."

Her mother's comment made Momo shy. "Mom!" The pouty face she made was always a treat to the eyes and poison for diabetics. "Is dinner ready? If it's not then I'll wait in my room with Ayaka."

"I knew you'd say that, so I asked the cooks to prepare dinner earlier than usual."

Whenever her parents were home, they would have personal chefs to cook their food. However, they weren't always at the apartment; most of the time they were at their estate in Shizuoka, which was also close to where UA was located.

The couple left their bags at Momo's room and went straight to the dinner table. On top of it, there was an insane amount of luxurious food, some that Ayaka had never seen before. The scents of rich spices and sizzling meats filled the air, making her mouth water before she even sat down.

Hiroshi was sitting there with a serious expression, unlike Momo's mother who was very lively. While he seemed unapproachable and stern, inside he was very excited to meet his daughter's girlfriend.

With a deep bow, Ayaka greeted her "father-in-law." Everyone present realized how nervous she was, especially since the only difference between her bow and a dogeza was that Ayaka's knees weren't on the ground.

"It's an honor to meet you s-sir!" Her antics almost made everyone that heard laugh. "I-I hope we can get along well."

A faint smile finally came to his face, and he tried to ease her nerves. "There's no need to be so nervous. I'm glad we can finally meet you." They shook hands and all sat down to eat.

With every bite that Ayaka took, flavors she had never experienced before consumed her taste buds. Momo's parents got to know Ayaka well, asking questions and having fun, until Momo went to the bathroom.

Taking the opportunity when their daughter wasn't present, they asked questions about their relationship. "So, what are your intentions with our daughter?" Hiroshi asked with a stern voice.

Without missing a beat, Ayaka replied with conviction, "I want to be with your daughter for as long as I live. I know we haven't been together for long, but I'm sure of what I feel." Ayaka meant every word she said. She truly wanted to be with Momo forever—if possible, getting married as soon as high school was done.

Both parents had serious and thoughtful expressions.

Chisato spoke first, "I see… What about your plans for the future?" It was only natural they would be worried about that; thankfully, Ayaka had very solid plans.

"Ever since I was a kid, I've dreamed of being a pro hero, so I am going to UA after graduating high school. After that… I'm not so sure, there are too many things to consider after I become a proper adult."

Her plans after becoming a hero were not something Ayaka had given much thought. She would like to get married and possibly start a family, but she obviously hadn't talked to Momo about that. Asking questions about having children after dating for little over a month at 16 years old didn't sound like a good plan.

This time, Momo's father was the one who spoke, in a more lenient tone. "That's good to hear, it makes me glad that my daughter is in good hands." It seemed like the man finally loosened up, appearing friendlier than before.

The dinner went on to be very pleasant. Ayaka got along well with Momo's parents and they truly seemed to like her. At the moment, the couple was sitting on the bed enjoying each other's company. The beauty of the honeymoon phase of a relationship—they could be glued to each other and they wouldn't mind, in fact, they would enjoy that.

Momo was leaning on Ayaka's chest, her head being caressed at the same time, making for quite an adorable sight. The soft lamplight of the room painted them in warmth. Seeing Momo peaceful like that made Ayaka happy, but it also made her think about the talk with her parents. Would she truly be able to sustain a lifelong relationship with Momo? It wasn't healthy to be worrying about such things now, but Ayaka couldn't help it.

She cast those useless thoughts aside and focused on the present.

The news was on the TV, Momo paying attention to it—unlike Ayaka. Suddenly, she poked her a few times, urging Ayaka to look at the news. "Isn't that Midoriya!?" On the television, the events that happened earlier today were being reported.

"A small villain attack at an alley, involving two high school students—Katsuki Bakugo and Izuku Midoriya—were attacked by the Sludge Villain. Thankfully, they only had very minor injuries because of All Might's quick intervention. Also, because Izuku Midoriya tried to help his classmate, his injuries were even less than they should've been." The journalist narrated the events that happened earlier.

The vibe of the room went down a notch; they were worried for their friends. Ayaka didn't admit it, but she came to care for the little shit—Bakugo—after beating him multiple times in class, and knowing that neither of them got hurt put her at ease.

"I didn't know Midoriya was that brave, even though he is quirkless, he still tried to save his friend." Momo remarked with worry and acknowledgement.

"Huh? I never noticed he was quirkless." Her comment earned a surprised look from Momo.

"He said it when we met."

"Well, I wasn't paying a lot of attention to what everyone was saying that day. All I could see or hear was you." An attempt to turn her lack of attention into a flirt was successful, making the mood nice again.

Her girlfriend clung to her once more, receiving kisses on her arms, going up to the neck. Ayaka felt her face getting hot. Momo coursed her hands through Ayaka's waist and her back, avoiding more intimate places.

Momo had always been a very prudent person. While she loved doing these things with her girlfriend, she wasn't one to initiate it often.

The sound of the TV couldn't be heard by them anymore, and as it escalated so did everything else. It was natural that the couple would get physical with each other, but to this day, they never did anything except kissing, avoiding going overboard on touching while doing it.

The kisses she received left marks on her neck and on her collarbone. Ayaka held Momo by her nape and pulled her towards her face, giving her an intense kiss and moving down to her neck. She wouldn't be the only one left with marks today.

Unconsciously, she moved her hands down to Momo's thigh, causing her to twitch. "Ayaka, wait, hold on a second," she halted immediately as she heard that.

Without knowing what provoked that reaction, Ayaka worried that she might've done something Momo wasn't comfortable with. "Are you okay? Did I do something wrong?"

Her worry was clear to Momo. She comforted her with a kiss on the forehead. "You didn't do anything wrong, if anything you did it too well. I'm just not ready to go any further than this for the time being, I'm sorry."

Understanding what Momo meant by 'that', Ayaka almost died from embarrassment. "I-I wasn't trying to have s-sex, I just got caught in the moment. Also, you don't have to apologize for not being ready."

"W-what!? I was talking about you touching that close my butt, not sex!" Clearly, Ayaka misunderstood what her loved one said, now having a profound desire to commit seppuku.

"I-I see…" She slowly crawled towards the closed window, "I'll just go die now."

She got pulled back violently by her leg into bed, and got tied like a mummy with Momo's bedsheets. "You stay there now!"

The way she got wrapped was incredibly tight, leaving no space for her to move. "I was just joking…"
