If there was no birth of life, then death would not occur, and if there were no death to contrast against, life would be nothing more than a mundane phenomenon. It is precisely because of death that joy holds meaning, and suffering can be perceived as sorrow.
However, in that era, sorrow was abundant and joy was scarce. Death was imminent, and life was fleeting. No matter how immortal one was, it was meaningless, because as long as life existed, it had to suffer, born again and again from bewilderment, beginning to suffer from ignorance.
Given this, let enlightenment come early.
A mind, a soul spirit, or one might say, the first since records began to unlock the mystery of the womb and complete full rebirth, decided to pass down their experiences and lessons to everyone. They refined their soul, true spirit, and mind, forging everything into a 'golden, round, neither falling nor extinguished, neither changing nor immortal' 'pill'.
That is the beginning of the 'pill'.
