Casare stopped, faced the President and the Defense Minister, speaking in a low yet rapid tone: "Mr. President, Minister Kennedy, Deputy Minister Hernandez, in the capital of Michoacán, Morelia, the hotel he was staying at caught fire unexpectedly at dawn, he perished."
"What?!" President Lunacharsky's pupils contracted, "Hernandez? How is that possible? Was it an accident?"
Defense Minister Kennedy's face looked quite grim.
He's not stupid, and is naturally aware of what's happening.
"All signs currently point to arson," Casare asserted, "Before Hernandez was murdered, he had just been in contact with a local sheriff who risked his life to stop a car and lodge a complaint, holding substantial evidence of systemic corruption among Michoacán state officials, potentially involving murder and human trafficking."
