The gunfire erupted.

A young police officer had just pushed open the car door when he was simultaneously struck by three or four machetes. Blood instantly soaked his uniform as he screamed and fell to the ground, immediately chopped to pieces.
Another car's police officers tried to fight back using the vehicle for cover, but the mob was too numerous and fearlessly clung to the windows, shoving shotguns inside to fire randomly.
"Thud!"
A police officer was pierced through the chest by a spear thrust in through the shattered car window, the spearhead protruding from his back, his eyes widened, blood foaming from his mouth.
Hernandez emptied his pistol, then swung the empty gun to knock down an approaching rioter, but was immediately struck on the shoulder by a flying axe. Half of his arm was almost severed!
He moaned in pain and staggered to the ground.
