Shortly after being turned into a devil, Issei listened to everything related to Rias. After she finished explaining the basics and the introductions were over, the club door opened and Goku entered, returning from his mission.
"Oh, I see you're doing well," Goku said with a smile to the brown-haired boy.
"Goku, are you a devil too?" Issei asked.
"Well... something like that," he replied, scratching his cheek.
"Did everything go well, Goku?" Rias asked, even though she already knew the answer.
"Everything was perfect," Goku answered with a thumbs-up.
Seeing that gesture, Rias gave him a smile. Even though she knew it was impossible for him to get hurt, she couldn't help but worry.
At that moment, Raynare approached Goku and took his arm. "It's time to head home for today." With that said, everyone nodded except for Issei, who was still confused, not yet fully grasping what was happening.
Several days passed, and Issei began to get used to his duties as a devil—hunting stray devils and dealing with his failed attempts at making contracts.
One night, while Issei was out on a contract, everyone was gathered in the clubroom as usual. Raynare was arguing with Koneko over her self-proclaimed "permanent seat" on Goku's lap; Akeno watched them and simply giggled; Kiba had a sweatdrop on his head, and Rias was busy as always with paperwork.
But something happened suddenly. Goku stood up abruptly, making Koneko fall—which made Raynare laugh maliciously—but the other members were surprised because Goku had a serious expression, which was unusual for him.
"Did something happen, Goku?" Akeno asked the Saiyan while the others waited for his answer.
"Issei's energy is decreasing rapidly," he said with a very grim face.
"The Fallen again?" Rias asked.
"No, this energy is undoubtedly human," Goku replied, surprising them. "I'll go see what's happening. You guys prepare a circle." Everyone nodded to Goku's instructions.
"Be careful," Rias said, to which the Saiyan responded with a nod.
In a house in the city, Issei was on the floor with an injured leg due to an attack from his enemy, who was laughing like a lunatic. This character had silver hair and the eyes of a psychopath; he wore white clothes with a dark blue trench coat and a cross on his back. His name was Father Freed Sellzen.
"Hahaha! Devil trash, your life ends here today!" the lunatic said with a deranged smile.
"Damn it... I should have been more careful," Issei said, his face contorted in pain.
But at that moment, a voice stopped them. "Father Freed, please stop!" The voice came from a young girl in nun's attire with a cross hanging on her chest. She had blonde hair and green eyes.
"What the hell are you saying, Asia-chan? Are you going to get between this devil and me?" the priest said with inquisitive eyes.
In that moment, the nun realized that the devil was the same person who had shown her the way to the church. "Issei-san?" the nun asked, confused.
"Asia-chan?" Issei replied, equally confused; he hadn't expected the sweet nun to be a companion to this lunatic.
The young nun quickly stepped between Issei and Freed with her arms outstretched. "Please, Father Freed, forgive him. Issei-san is not a bad person!" Asia begged the demented priest for mercy.
But at that moment, Freed used his light sword to slash Asia's habit, leaving her exposed.
"You damn bitch, you dare to protect a filthy devil? You must be punished," he said with a lecherous smile. Sticking out his tongue and twisting it, he moved to grab Asia's arms. But in that instant, someone appeared out of nowhere, shocking everyone.
"Who the hell are yo—" That was all the crazy priest could say. Goku, seeing the situation and realizing he was the culprit, sent him flying against the wall with a single flick of his arm.
"Are you okay, girl?" Goku asked Asia, who was trying to cover herself.
"Y-yes, thank you," the nun said, confused and nervous by what had just happened.
Goku smiled at her and draped his jacket over her to cover her up, making the little nun blush as she hadn't expected such kindness.
"Issei, I see you're still breathing," Goku joked to the boy.
"Mou... Goku-sempai, this is no time for jokes," Issei pouted.
While they were joking, Freed had recovered and was staring furiously at Goku. "You damn trash! Who are you and how did you appear so suddenly?!" the lunatic screamed.
"I'm Son Goku, and I came for my friend, whom you left in that state," he said with a cold gaze.
"So you're another stinking devil, hahaha! Today is my lucky day!" the madman laughed like a psychopath. "After I eliminate both of you, I'll have some fun with that traitor over there. I don't think my boss will mind as long as I bring her back in one piece."
Hearing that, Goku looked at the girl, who was trembling with fear and tears in her eyes. This made Issei angry, but Goku's anger was even greater.
Suddenly, the entire house began to shake. The occupants were startled, looking at each other to see who was responsible. When they realized it wasn't any of them, they looked at Goku.
A white aura surrounded Goku's body like burning white flames. Issei had heard about this, but it was his first time seeing it; his eyes went wide, as did the other two's.
"How dare you say that, you piece of trash... and you consider yourself a member of the Church?" Goku asked the mad priest, his voice laced with fury.
"Hahaha! I do whatever I want! Did what I said about the little nun bother you, you shit devil?" Freed replied mockingly. "Then I'll let you live just so you can watch how I violate her right in front of you!"
Those words were the final straw. Suddenly, a supersonic boom echoed, and in a split second, Goku was in front of Freed. He grabbed the priest's face and, with a powerful thrust, slammed his head into the floor, cratering him into the ground.
Issei and Asia were stunned; everything had happened in a blink. It was far too fast for the untrained eye to follow.
At that moment, a magic circle appeared—it was the Gremory Clan circle, and with it, Rias's entire peerage appeared.
"How is everything, Goku?" Rias asked for a report.
"As you can see, everything ended well," he said as he approached his friends.
"Who's the idiot buried over there?" Raynare asked.
"Some guy from the Church," Goku said dismissively.
"Goku, did you attack a member of the Church?" Rias asked, knowing this could bring trouble in the future.
"Rias-buchou, don't be mad at Goku! He only protected me from that lunatic," Issei said, defending his friend. He then recounted the events and how Goku had protected him and Asia.
"I see. Then, with this finished, let's go back to heal Issei's wounds," Rias said, ending the conversation and ready to leave quickly.
As they were about to depart, everyone stopped as they felt a large number of energies approaching.
"Fallen Angels. Many of them," Raynare said with a serious expression.
"Let's leave quickly. We already have what we came for, so it's useless to fight them," Rias added. Her mission was to rescue Issei, and it was accomplished.
"Buchou! We can't leave Asia here!" Issei shouted, but Rias shook her head.
"Issei, we cannot take someone with us who isn't part of my clan," Rias replied, pained at having to leave the girl at the mercy of the Fallen.
"B-b-but Asia didn't do anything wrong! Why does she have to suffer this?" the boy cried out, feeling helpless.
Just as Asia was about to say something, Goku placed a hand on her head and stroked it. "Calm down, everyone. I'll take care of Asia," Goku said with a smile.
"Really?!" Issei asked nervously, to which Goku replied with a thumbs-up, bringing smiles to everyone's faces.
"I will protect her and then return to the club." With that, everyone nodded and departed.
Asia was nervous; she didn't know how powerful Goku was and looked at him desperately. The warrior noticed. "Relax, Asia. Nothing will happen to you as long as I'm here."
"Are you sure? There are so many of them... and my life isn't worth enough for others to sacrifice themselves for me," the nun said, devaluing herself.
"Listen to me, Asia. Your life is worth as much or more than anyone else's. Don't ever think you are worthless. Understand?" Goku said seriously.
This was the first time in her life someone had said something like that to her. Her whole life she thought she was worthless, that she would have been abandoned long ago if not for her powers. But this boy, whom she had met less than thirty minutes ago, valued her. She looked into his eyes searching for lies or ulterior motives... but she saw none. Only pure sincerity and hope.
"Can I trust your words?" "Yes." "Can I believe my life is worth something?" "Yes."
Tearfully, she hugged him. Goku just stroked her hair while Asia cried, letting out everything she had kept bottled up inside.
A few minutes passed and Asia had calmed down, though she remained clung to Goku. She suddenly realized she was hugging a man and her face turned completely red.
The peace was broken when Father Freed recovered from the floor. Thinking he saw an opening, he attacked Goku from behind, but his attack hit nothing but an afterimage.
Goku had noticed and moved instantly, picking Asia up like a princess. When she looked back at where they had been, she saw Freed stabbing thin air.
"This guy doesn't learn," Goku said, gently setting Asia down. With a swift movement, he closed the distance and punched the mad priest in the face, sending him flying once more.
Asia was amazed and quickly approached Goku. "Is he dead?" she asked, still worrying about someone like Freed.
"Don't worry, he'll be fine. He's a tough guy," Goku reassured her.
At that moment, the energies they had felt finally arrived. "Asia, stay here and don't come out for anything," Goku warned.
Outside the house, about 300 Fallen Angels hovered in the sky, led by a woman with dark blue hair and a very tight outfit.
"So you're the ones who sent that crazy priest," Goku said from the ground, looking at the leader.
"My, my... so you took care of Freed. From what I see, you're just a low-class devil," she said, surprised that a "low-class" being could defeat Freed.
"Exactly. And I'm going to defeat all of you, too," Goku said with an arrogant smile.
"Don't be so arrogant, trash! If you give us the nun, maybe we'll let you live," the woman mocked.
"If you want Asia, you'll have to go through me first." He dropped the smile and got serious.
"Your wish is my command. Attack!" And with that, the massacre began.
Inside the house, a frightened Asia could only hear screams and curses. A few minutes later, silence fell. This made her even more nervous, thinking Goku might have been defeated.
Just then, the door opened. Asia closed her eyes, waiting to be captured, but a familiar voice called out.
"What are you doing with your eyes closed?" Goku asked.
"Is it really you?"
"Of course it is! Didn't I tell you I'd be right back?" he said with a smile. Asia threw herself into his arms.
"It's over now. You don't have to be afraid ever again," Goku said, patting her head. Through tears of joy, she repeated over and over, "Thank you."
Back at the clubroom, everyone was nervous. "Do you think something happened to him?" Issei asked.
"That's impossible. It's Goku. He's invincible," Raynare replied without a shred of doubt.
"Goku-sempai is unstoppable," Koneko said while eating cookies, though she looked a bit tense.
"I know they couldn't beat him even if there were a million of them," Kiba said, knowing Goku's power firsthand.
"Ufufufu, he's probably enjoying his fight," Akeno blushed, imagining the "torture" Goku might be dealing out.
"That man always does whatever he wants," Rias said, annoyed, tapping her desk.
In that instant, Goku appeared with Asia, surprising and relieving his companions.
"You took a long time," Rias said. "Were they that strong?"
"Not at all. I just felt it was a waste to kill them quickly, so I took my time," the Saiyan said with a very "S" (sadistic) smile, which made Akeno shiver with excitement.
"And what is the reason for bringing the girl with you?" Rias asked, looking at Asia, who was clutching Goku's sleeve.
"I want you to make her part of your clan."
"Asia, right? Are you sure about this? If you become a devil, you won't be able to pray anymore," Rias explained.
"That will be hard... but even so, I want to be a devil, please," Asia said with a bow, completely convinced because she didn't want to be separated from Goku and Issei.
"Fine, if it's your decision, it's fine by me." Rias began the ritual using her remaining Bishop piece. Thus, Asia became a devil and a member of the Gremory Clan.
"Now we just need to find her a place to live," Rias said, but Goku spoke up.
"She'll stay with me and Raynare."
"Are you okay with that, Asia?" Issei asked, hoping she would say no so she could live with him.
"I'm happy to be able to live with Goku!" the nun replied with a smile that broke Issei's heart and made Rias nervous.
"Goku, what is the reason for this?" Rias asked with narrowed eyes.
"If Asia lives in my house, I can always protect her from the Church," he said as if it were the most normal thing in the world.
With a sigh of defeat, Rias told him to do whatever he wanted. With that settled, another day ended in the new life of our hero.
