Chapter 15 - Chapter 15: The Inferno's Secret

The air heavy with the smell of char and smoke, a reminder of the devastation that had occurred. The study group, looking dull and some with burns, sitting on the floor, their faces etched with shock, fear, and disbelief.

Ada's voice pierced the chaos, her words laced with desperation, "Idara! Idara!!" The others joined in, their cries echoing through the streets, a chorus of worry and concern. But Idara was nowhere to be found.

The crowd surged forward, a sea of people searching every nook and cranny, lifting debris and charred wood, scouring the ruins for any sign of the missing girl. But she was gone, vanished without a trace. Ada's words tumbled out in a desperate bid to make sense of the horror, "I don't know what happened, I don't know how it happened but all I remember was the flames everywhere around me, how did we survive? And now we can't even find Idara."

But as time passed with the moon calling the night, the search party reluctantly dispersed, leaving behind the smoldering ruins and the haunting question: what happened to Idara?

The darkness closed in, the study group's fear and uncertainty grew. They had escaped the inferno, but the cost seemed to be too great. Idara's disappearance was shrouded in mystery, and the flames that had ravaged the building seemed to have taken more than just property. They might had taken a life, and with it, the truth.

Meanwhile, Ozare's phone buzzed with an ominous call from his elder brother as he drove, "Ehiogie!". The connection was brief, but the words exchanged were laced with deceit and malice. "Has the girl been dealt with?" Ehiogie's voice was cold, calculating. Ozare's reply was hesitant, "Yes, brother. It looks just like an accident. No one suspects a thing." Ehiogie's response sent a chill down Ozare's spine, "Good. Come, let me reward your loyalty."
