Grand Line – Paradise
Drum Island
"Is this for real? Hiding behind your little friend? At this rate, I'll end up killing your whole crew before I capture you! Just so you know, that long-nosed little friend of yours is probably already dead down there!", in a mocking tone, Aramaki comments after recovering from the Haki pulse, aiming to provoke Luffy and shake his mind.
"Nah, my friend's alive and well, and if you ended up like that just from fighting Usopp, then I don't have much to worry about! Hey, Sanji! He's stronger than you, if you need help, just say so!", Using his Observation Haki, Luffy sees that Usopp was alive and well, pretty beaten up, but still alive and well.
"Son of a bitch! Now I'll make it a point to kill your entire crew and leave you on the brink of death before I capture you!", Aramaki growls in anger, the pain he was feeling only fueling his rage even more.
"Shut up, Luffy! I don't need your help to deal with this guy! And enough talk, let's fight!", Sanji shouts at Luffy before turning to Aramaki and saying, then vanishing from his spot right after, using Soru.
His body in motion, breaking the sound barrier countless times in that short distance, blurs, distorting the air around him, the friction with the air heating him to the point he looks like a mass of plasma on a collision course with a wall of wooden shields coated with Haki rising in front of Aramaki.
Flames explode from his legs halfway through, his steps leaving charred footprints behind, the ground melting around those prints, as if the devil himself were treading that land, leaving his mark.
Getting close, Sanji jumps and delivers a dropkick with both feet coated in Haki against the wall of shields, the image of a hellish spear overlapping his body.
"Diable Jambe: Brochette D'Entrecôte!!", Sanji murmurs just before his attack connects with the wall of wooden shields.
The furious flames of his attack engulfing Aramaki's wall of shields completely, spilling out to the sides, the heat so scalding that his bloody burns stung irritably.
A charred hole almost pierced through the wall of shields completely, but in the end, it held, mainly due to Aramaki's Haki and the constant regeneration of the wall.
Landing on the ground with both hands, Sanji, in a matter of microseconds, spins his body as if performing a breakdance move, his flaming legs spinning at high speed like a hellish fan.
And then, Sanji murmurs, "Diable Jambe: Couper le Beurre!!", using Rankyaku, flaming flying slashes shoot from his legs, tearing the already weakened wall of shields as if they were a hot knifes slicing through a block of butter, the infernal flames of the slashes disintegrating the cut wooden pieces while the slashes continued advancing toward Aramaki.
Dodging each slash, Aramaki keeps backing away until he's near the cliff's edge, evading the last slash with a backflip.
Landing near the cliff's edge, Aramaki slams both hands on the ground, which causes a bunch of thick and sharp vines to shoot up from the ground at supersonic speed, right where Sanji was supposed to be.
And using Geppo with his arms, Sanji launches himself into the air, dodging the attack. What he didn't expect was that giant flowers would sprout from the vines the very next instant, releasing a dense cloud of purple pollen very close to him, just below, practically brushing against his skin.
Now, to you, the reader, it might seem like whatever the intention of Aramaki's attack was, it failed, since it didn't even touch him, however, Sanji's Observation Haki said otherwise.
Unfortunately, Sanji can't get away in time, Aramaki makes some yellow seeds the size of a fist sprout quickly from the vines amid the cloud of purple pollen.
And in a matter of microseconds, while Sanji tries to escape the cloud, the seeds swell, glowing intensely before then exploding in flames, causing a giant chain reaction. The flames then ignite the pollen cloud instantly, causing a massive explosion, shaking the entire mountain, castle, and grazing the cook, sending him soaring like an out-of-control missile.
His out-of-control body, exhaling smoke, rising higher and higher, his clothes scorched and in tatters, wounded, but relatively unharmed thanks to managing to protect himself with his Armament Haki at the last instant.
When the island becomes the size of a fist in his vision, Sanji orients himself in the midst of the turbulent air using Geppo until his ascent stops.
Taking a deep breath, Sanji vanishes from where he was, using Geppo and Soru to accelerate his fall, his body becoming a mass of scalding plasma falling to the earth like a meteor, sonic booms sounding like a machine gun burst.
Midway, Sanji adds a spin to his fall, piercing the air more efficiently, thus doubling his speed.
When Aramaki comes into his view, Sanji uses the spin from his fall to shift his body's position, delivering a flaming axe kick at the Marine, who crosses his carbonized, Haki-coated arms above his head to block the attack.
"Diable Jambe: Tomahawk!!", just before the attack connects, Sanji murmurs, the flames of his leg intensifying.
The impact of the strike against Aramaki's arms makes the Marine's feet sink deeply into the ground, creating a crater around him that grows larger with every passing second.
And in that moment, Sanji feels something different, he feels his Armament Haki wanting to detach from his body, to flow outward, and remembering what Luffy had taught them, he allows it to happen, paying attention to every detail so he can replicate it in the future.
The flames on his leg intensify even more, breaking through Aramaki's defenses, severing one of his arms and opening a deep gash in the other. And then, a flying slash of fire, coated with Advanced Armament Haki, passes through the marine, carving a deep cut into his shoulder and back before slicing through the edge of the mountain like a hot knife through butter, creating a deep ravine in the ground.
Upon looking at his severed and charred right forearm lying on the ground, Aramaki completely loses his senses from the pain he was feeling, charging at Sanji with a guttural roar, like a Berserker.
Sprouting a wooden forearm in place of the severed one, Aramaki suddenly splits, hundreds of wooden clones sprouting from his body, all attacking Sanji at once.
From that point on, Sanji finds himself extremely overwhelmed by an endless army of wooden clones swarming him from all sides. No matter how many he incinerated or destroyed with his kicks, they kept coming from every direction, climbing over each other, from beneath the ground, it was a true scene straight out of World War Z.
Every now and then, one of the clones would release a cloud of pollen on him before inflating and exploding, dealing damage to the cook, who found himself more and more on the defensive, being thrown around like a pinball.
Sometimes he managed to consciously use his Advanced Armament Haki, and other times only the basic one. It was inconsistent, proof that he needed more time to master this new level.
He was so overloaded by the attacks coming from all sides that his Observation Haki was being forced to improve.
And for the first time, Sanji catches a glimpse of the future, which leaves him both furious and relieved at the same time. He then contracts all the muscles in one of his legs, raising it high, the flames on it intensifying, screaming like furious demons thirsty for blood.
"Diable Jambe: Coup de Chalumeau!!!", Sanji murmurs, contracting all the upper muscles of his body at once, redirecting all his strength to his raised leg, bringing it down at full speed like a whip, breaking the sound barrier countless times in that short distance, his leg glowing like incandescent plasma, kicking the ground with all his might.
A gigantic crater opens around him before a torrent of hellish flames explodes from his foot, engulfing and incinerating all the clones in front of him, completely atomizing them.
And from the hellish flames, the real Aramaki is thrown backward, his eyes white with pain, completely drenched in blood, black smoke rising from his body, bouncing several times on the ground before coming to a stop.
With time passing slowly, without looking back, where a sea of wooden clones was still advancing toward him like a tsunami about to crash over his head, Sanji, bathed in blood, dirty and injured, straightens his posture, pulling a pack of cigarettes from his pocket.
And as he pulls a cigarette from the pack with his mouth and grabs his lighter from his pocket with the other hand, Zoro appears on the other side of the field, to Sanji's left, slowly sheathing his swords, the wooden clones behind the cook being sliced into thousands of pieces.
And appearing just above Sanji, Chouchou, with his titanic body in his full Zoan form, finishes the job, opening his mouth wide, full of sharp teeth, and then biting down on the remaining clones in the air, landing a little behind, between the cook and the swordsman, spitting out a mass of chewed wood shortly after.
Lighting his cigarette and taking a drag, "I didn't need help, I had everything under control!", Sanji says, blowing out smoke.
"Didn't look like it from a distance, you were surrounded on all sides, rotten lung!", straightening up, Zoro says, mocking Sanji, as he walks over to stand by his side.
"Woof woof, woof woof woof woof!" "Don't start fighting, we have a son of a bitch to massacre!", Chouchou, right behind them, growls, his voice shaking the earth around him, teeth bared, head lowered like a predator eyeing its prey, which, in this case, was Aramaki slowly getting up in the distance.
Behind them, in the distance, at the castle gate, Chopper looked at the three with an admiring gaze, especially at Chouchou. "So cool!!!"
"Hahaha... urgh... cough... cough... hahahaha! I definitely underestimated all you sons of bitches! Not anymore!", Standing up completely, Aramaki laughs maniacally, the pain causing him to completely lose his mind. He just wanted to kill everyone on this island and then get medical attention. Sir. Sakazuki would have to give him a huge bonus and some long vacations after this.
The scene was as follows, on one side, Aramaki growing, transforming into a wooden golem larger than Chouchou, and on the other side, Sanji, blowing smoke while flicking his cigarette away, Zoro, injured from his fight with Sabo, unsheathing his three swords in a relaxed stance, and Chouchou, also injured from the fight with Sabo, head lowered like a predator, teeth bared, and growling like a wolf thirsty for blood.
=Scene Break=
Rewinding a bit in time, Sabo returns to Bighorn Village carrying Usopp in his arms, only to find complete chaos erupting as he arrives. Marines arresting women, men, the elderly, and even children. And not in the standard way outlined in the manual, they were beating, cursing, using unnecessary force, arresting people as if they were the military police of São Paulo. [I didn't say that, you said that, or my cat did, I don't have a cat.]
Releasing a controlled pulse of Conqueror's Haki, Sabo knocks out all the Marines, and only the Marines.
He then finds the doctors, all tied up, by the way, and after freeing them and leaving Usopp in their care, Sabo goes on to release the rest of the village from their restraints, helping them tie up the Marines next, as a precaution for when they wake up.
After that, he returns to where Usopp was being treated, finding him completely bandaged and awake.
"Sabo, where are Zoro and Chouchou?", noticing Sabo's arrival, Usopp asks, a bit tired.
"They went after whoever did that to you", Sabo replies casually.
"There's Dalton too; he's going to need help dealing with the Marines", Usopp says, remembering Dalton.
"Do you know where he is?", Sabo asks, he couldn't help without first knowing where the guy was.
"Probably Gyasta, but the Marines are probably doing this all over the island", Usopp says, deducing Dalton's most likely location.
"Leave that to me, get some rest in the meantime! Pretty sure we're gonna have to run off the island once all this is over", Sabo says, reassuring Usopp before disappearing using Soru, only realizing he had no idea where Gyasta was after running for a few kilometers.
Since he didn't know exactly where Gyasta was and didn't want to go back to ask, Sabo uses his Observation Haki to go from village to village, knocking out the Marines with a controlled pulse of his Conqueror's Haki and helping the citizens whenever he found a village under the iron fist of the Marines. Which only happened in one of the villages he visited, Cocoaweed, in this case.
And when he finally arrived in Gyasta and was heading toward Dalton, who was fervently arguing with a Marine, several others surrounding and trying to restrain him, with Karoo beside him trying to stop them from holding him down, a monstrously strong pulse of Conqueror's Haki fell upon everyone before he could reach Dalton, knocking out all the Marines and citizens alike. The only ones left standing were Sabo, completely fine, and Dalton, on his knees, sweating profusely and nearly fainting. Meanwhile, Karoo lay beside them, unconscious and foaming at the beak.
"W... what the fuck was that?", Dalton murmurs, eyes fixed on the ground, he had never felt anything like that in his life, he didn't even know how he was still conscious.
"That was my little brother, don't think too much about it! Come on, help me tie up these Marines", Sabo says, arriving at Dalton's side.
"No, leave that to me, go help Usopp, he's probably still fighting with the leader of these Marines", Dalton says, getting up.
"The fight's over, Usopp lost, but he's fine, hurt, but fine! The doctors... oh shit! The doctors must have passed out too! Quick, help me free the civilians and tie up these marines, we'll wake the doctors and then go through the villages to see if anyone needs medical attention", Sabo reassures him before realizing that the doctors, who were taking care of Usopp had probably passed out as well, not to mention the people from other villages who might have gotten hurt from being knocked out.
And then, after tying up all the marines, freeing and waking up all the civilians, including Karoo, Sabo transfers the injured, along with Dalton and Karoo, to Bighorn village, where they wake up the doctors, helping them with the potential injured in the village.
And while Dalton and Karoo stayed behind to continue helping the doctors where they could, Sabo, the fastest of the three, went from village to village, transferring the injured to Bighorn village to receive treatment.
=Scene Break=
Meanwhile, at sea, passing by Drum, was a large Marine ship, with the head of a dog biting a bone as the figurehead.
"Hmm? What's that brat up to this time?", chewing on a rice cracker, Garp murmurs as he feels his troublesome grandson's Conqueror's Haki.
