Watching the ground decay and disintegrate infront of us was quite as spectacular site, like imagine seeing the green grass turn into gray fine dust, even the dirt itself turned into fine dust in a matter of seconds and the decaying parts of the ground only seemed to spread.
"Wow, kid that orb of destruction or decay or whatever it is was pretty strong. Earl said to me amazed.
"Yeah dad it's pretty cool, like look it's even spreading to other parts of the ground." Jin chimed in, looking even more amazed than Earl.
"Wait shit, it's spreading?" Earl asked panicked
"Yeah, why what's wrong?" I asked confused
"Hey kid do you want destroy my yard?? Cancel your ability or something!" Earl said agitated.
" But I don't know how to.." I replied nervously.
"Well you better figure out how to and now!" By this point Earl sounded like if he was ready to start pulling out his hair.
"Okay I'll try something... Jin deactivate your gravity ability." Came my hesitant response as I began walking towards the purple energy still lingering on the ground that was spreading further along the ground.
"Okay." Jin said probably confused as to what I was going to do.I finally reached the energy on the ground, bent down and reached to place my hand on the ground. Activating my abilty before I touched the ground, my hands started glowing purple and slowly I stretched the energy to the ground and started merging it with the energy on the ground. I eventually felt that I could control the energy once again and pulled it back into my body.
"Oh thank the heavens you could stop that catastrophe otherwise I don't even want to imagine what would've happened to us." Earl sighed in relief.
"But anyway for the most part it seems you've learned how to activate your ability somewhat. Which is good but your gonna have to train yourself to fully master it, it's got a lot of potential that's one thing for sure." He spoke again as he took a thinking pose.
"Ryouto what about your other ability? Aren't we gonna test that one too?" Jin added not overlooking our other discovery earlier that evening.
"Hmm? What other ability Jin?" A confused Earl asked.
"Well Ryouto created a iron ball almost exactly like mine earlier today."
"Oh you don't say. Hey Ryouto you think you could do that again?" Earl asked intrigued.
"Yeah no problem." I said as I began to close my eyes ready to start.
"Wait but this time create this.." Earl said as he pulled out his phone and showed me what seemed to be a strange rectangular object.
"Okay I'll try." I said as I closed my eyes and pictured the object. Focusing all my energy once I got a clearer image.
After a few moments of waiting I expected to feel something but I never did. Opening my eyes and looking at my hand that infact had nothing in it I was confused.
"Seems like it didn't work, I wonder why?" Earl said just as confused as I was when suddenly I felt like if something was just telling me deep down I knew the reason. As if my instincts was talking to me. When it suddenly hit me the only thing different from Jin's iron ball and this was I had never seen this in real life.
"Hey uncle do you happen to have one of those things on you right now?" "Yeah but the one I have is slightly different." He said pulling out the rectangular object but blue this time instead of the red, it was also slimmer and longer than the one I saw earlier.
Seeing the object I closed my eyes and pictured it. When I got a clear image. I once again focused my energy into creating it and unlike before I felt something appearing in my hand slowly. When I felt like it was fully formed I opened my eyes and sure enough the object was there in my hand.
"Oh I get it so all you need to do is to see it in real life to create it." Earl said finally figuring out how my ability worked.
"Yeah I guess that's how it works." I replied.
"Damn pretty cool but hey am I the only one that doesn't know what that is?" Jin said as he pointed at the object that was in my hand that I myself was starting to wonder what it was now.
"Oh this is just..." Earl said as he took the object out my hand and placed it to his lips and breathe in and then blew out white smoke into the air. "Is just a vape." He said with a cocky smile looking as if he had just robbed two kids and was proud of it and who knows he probably did.
"But kid your something else imagine being so lucky to have two different abilities. That's pretty rare you know and both of them are strong. Destruction and creation. Isn't that crazy." Earl said as he began laughing at god knows whatever was so funny to him.
We spent about twenty more minutes outside before we went back inside where aunty was sitting watching a movie in her nighty.
"Oh Ryouto I brought some of your clothes in your school bag thought you might need it, it's in the car so I'll go bring it for you." Earl said going outside and coming back in with a bag a few moments later
After everyone had a bath and freshened up we sat in the main room and watched a movie. Although it felt as though me and Jin were the only ones watching the movie cause Jin's parents were getting all lovely dovey.
Eventually my eyes began feeling heavy and my mind became drowsy after trying to fight the sleep for a bit I couldn't anymore and fell into a deep slumber.
Earl's POV:
After the movie was finished me and Elana stopped our making out I looked over to Jin and Ryouto only to see them both knocked out cold sleeping like two cats with Ryouto's head resting on top of Jin's shoulder and in turn Jin's head resting on top of Ryouto's head.
"Hey honey don't you think they look like brothers?" I said the scene warming my heart as I gazed at the two of them with a smile on my face.
"Yeah it's like they've known each other for years." Elana said which caused me to look over at her and seeing the motherly smile on her beautiful face, her gray eyes that was filled with warmt and the streaks of pink at the end of her hair standing out in the darkness while on the other hand the black in her hair faded into the darkness.
'Yeah I know how absolutely stunning my wife is.' I thought talking to myself. "Anyway I'm gonna carry them upstairs." I said as I moved to go pick them up and carry them upstairs when...
"No honey leave them there I doubt Ryouto would wanna sleep alone tonight. He might get nightmares best to keep them closer together. " Elana said decisively stopping me from making any further action and just agreeing with her.
After we turned on a dim light so it wouldn't bother them but in case they woke up the wouldn't be stuck in darkness either and then we headed upstairs.
Ryouto's POV:
Yawning I opened my eyes slowly rubbing them in the process. When I fully opened my eyes I saw a unfamiliar ceiling that was slowly becoming familiar to me day by day.
It had been two weeks since I started living with Jin and his parents but today could just be the end to all of that.
"Today's the day huh.."
