The next day
.
Izuku's POV
.
We see Izuku sleeping on his bed, silently without any sound. The clock was about to hit 8:00 AM. As it did, Izuku woke up.
"-yawns- Another day, another trouble with those primates." Izuku said tiredly.
Izuku heard a soft knock on the door before a voice followed after.
"Sweety, wake up, it's time for school." Inko said softly.
"Already awake, Mom. Just give me a few seconds," I responded.
"Alright, breakfast is ready though." Inko said, then she left.
After a few minutes, I was ready. I wore my UA uniform, still a bit displeased at its appearance.
"Whoever made this must have been colorblind or something, because if they weren't, then I overestimated those mortals too much..." I complained.
I then opened the door and left my room. I went downstairs to see my mom waiting for me at the table.
"Good morning, Mom." I said while taking a seat.
"Good morning, honey. Did you sleep well?" Inko asked.
"Yes, yes I did. I assume the same for you?"
"Yeah, I slept well tonight. Alright, let's eat?"
"Yeah." I said with a small smile. She was my mom after all, dare I say the best.
When we were eating breakfast, Mom asked something.
"So honey, can you tell me how you wake up without an alarm? I could use it." Inko asked.
"Well, there's this trick I learned. You basically just have to put a small amount of ki in your head and make it grow hotter while sleeping. You have to train for it though, so you can make the ki hotter unconsciously. When it gets hot enough, my mind alerts me to wake up in case of danger. It's a hard but efficient trick." I explained while slightly smirking.
"I- wow, that must take a lot of control to be able to do that, and you're able to do it in your sleep!" Inko said, astonished.
"It's not really that hard once you get the hang of it." I said.
"Alright, honey."
After a bit, it was time for me to go to UA as it was 8:20 AM. Mom said goodbye to me as I left the house, but I didn't fly this time. I only took a walk to the school. I met Ochako and Iida on the way.
"...Just great." I muttered as they came to greet me while walking.
"Hi Midoriya! It's nice to see you!" Ochako said cheerfully.
"Yes, it is indeed!" Iida said while doing his chopping motion.
"...Can you stop doing that?" I said as I stared at Iida's hand with a deadpanned expression.
"Oh, yes, my apologies." Iida said as he stopped doing the motion.
"Sooo what are you doing here? I never saw you take this path, and I take it every day." Ochako asked.
"That's because I was flying. Also, we met just two days ago, so you can't really say that." I responded.
Before Ochako could respond, Iida interrupted while saying, "Flying?! Isn't that illegal?!"
"So? No hero arrested me as far as I am aware. Makes you realize that they aren't as strict as people make them out to be."
"I... never mind." Iida was speechless for a moment.
Before they could continue the conversation, they saw a huge amount of reporters in front of UA. Suddenly, some reporters rushed in to ask them questions.
"Hello, we have some questions we need you to answer!" said a reporter as they began asking questions.
"Is All Might really working here?"
"Is All Might a good teacher?"
"Do-"
Before the reporter could ask another question, I interrupted him.
"Tch! Leave us alone, mor- people. We aren't obligated to answer any of your questions." I glared at them.
The reporters started to scatter away, scared. But one reporter was brave enough to ask another question.
"W-what is the Symbol of Peace like in person?"
"...." I glared at her.
"E-eep! S-sorry, I'll go!" After that, all the reporters left.
"There was no need to scare them like that!" Iida said.
"Yeah, they're just reporters?" Ochako said.
"I won't respond to that, but I'll tell you that we need to fly so we can pass them." I said while starting to fly toward the school.
"B-but that's illegal?!" Iida panicked.
Ochako just followed me in silence, not wanting to anger me any longer.
"I-... sigh... fine." Iida followed us to class.
After a bit of conversation between Aizawa and the reporters, the crowd left... for now. We went to Class 1-A to see everyone seated as Aizawa entered the class.
"Decent work on yesterday's combat training, you guys. I saw the video feeds and went over each of your team's results. Bakugo, you're talented, so don't sulk like a child about your loss, okay?" Aizawa said
.
"Yeah, whatever." Bakugo responded
.
"And Midoriya. I saw how you fought Ojiro. You're skilled in hand-to-hand combat and strong, but you are way more brutal than what a hero should be. Have more mercy next time." Aizawa said to me.
"-sigh-... Fine." I said, not planning to follow the advice.
"Good. Let's get down to business. Our first task will decide your future." Aizawa said.
'is it another test?' everyone thought.
"You all need to pick a class representative."
'Oh good, just normal stuff.' most of Class 1-A thought.
Everyone started arguing about who was going to be class rep, since it's not just handling the class but also a way to get noticed by hero agencies.
"Silence everyone, please!"
All the students looked toward the source of the voice. It was Iida.
"The class representative's duty is to lead others. That's not something just anyone can do. You must first have the trust of every student in the classroom. Therefore, the most logical way to fill this position is democratically. We will hold an election to choose our leader!" Iida suggested.
"Dude, it's obvious you want us to choose you." Kaminari said.
"W-well yeah, but it's still the best option!" Iida said while doing his chopping motion again.
After everyone agreed to the method, the results were kind of shocking.I got chosen as the class rep, while Yaoyorozu got chosen as the deputy. Iida, who suggested the method, got zero votes.
"Alright, the class rep is Midoriya and our deputy is Momo Yaoyorozu." Aizawa said.
After that, it was time for lunch break, and everyone left the classroom. I sat alone at a table when Iida and Ochako sat with me.
'i can't get rid of them, can I?' I wondered.
"-sigh- It's always so crowded in here!" Ochako said.
"That's because students in the support, management, and hero courses all share the same cafeteria." Iida explained to Ochako, who didn't really pay attention as her focus was on the rice.
"This rice is delicious!" Ochako said.
"...." Iida was speechless.
"Hey Iida, can't I transfer this representative role to you?" I asked.
"Wha- no, you're more qualified for it than I am." Iida said while doing the chopping motion.
"Fine... 'I hate mortals.'" I thought.
"You know, Iida, your name isn't all that strange to me... Are you perhaps from the Iida family, where there's that new hero called Ingenium?" I asked.
"I- uh... was it that obvious?"
"Yes, it was. Your name, looks, and behavior are similar to them."
"Oh..." Iida said.
"Huh! Admit it, Iida, you're filthy rich!" Ochako said.
"Look, I didn't want anyone to know so I wouldn't be treated differently, you know?" Iida explained.
"Oh, my bad." Ochako apologized.
"It's okay."
After a few minutes, there was a weird sound outside, followed by a warning.
"Warning, level three security breach. All students, please evacuate the building in an orderly fashion."
Everyone did not Infact evacuate in an orderly fashion. They started bumping into each other. Iida stopped one student to ask what a level three security breach meant.
"It means that someone managed to get past the school's barriers! This hasn't happened in my three years here. We should get going!" the student said in panic before leaving.
"Calls themselves students, eh?" I mocked.
"Ochako, give me a boost up with your quirk. I want to know what's going on outside." Iida asked.
"Okay!" Ochako touched him, making him float to the window. He saw it was just the press, with Present Mic and Aizawa talking to them.
'It's just the press. Where are the teachers? Why aren't they taking control?' Iida thought.
'i got an idea!' Iida boosted himself with his quirk to go higher to get everyone's attention.
"Listen up, everything is okay!" Iida shouted.
Everyone looked at Lida.
"It's just the media outside. There's absolutely nothing to worry about. Everything's fine! We're UA students. We need to remain calm and prove that we're the best of the best!" Iida said.
Everyone then calmed down, sighing in relief. Later, everyone was back in class, with Momo and me standing in front.
"Before I begin, I want to say that I want Iida to be the class representative instead of me. He was able to grab everyone's attention and calm them down like a leader." I said.
Iida gasped in shock as many students instantly agreed.
"Yeah, you know what? If Midoriya vouches for him, I'm good. Plus, he was a big help. He totally manned up and took charge, right?" Kirishima said.
"Yup! Oh! Did you notice he looked like the dude on the emergency exit signs when he was on the wall earlier?" Kaminari added.
A voice suddenly came out of nowhere "This is a waste of time. I don't care who's class rep, just hurry up." Aizawa said.
"If Midoriya is nominating me for this job... then I humbly accept. I pledge to carry out the duties of class rep to the best of my abilities!" Iida said.
In the corner, during Lida's speech, Izuku was smiling. Not because of Iida, but because during the chaos, he sensed people inside UA trying to steal files. He teleported to them via Instant Transmission, hid, and watched as they stole and escaped using teleportation. One had a quirk and looked like mist which they used to teleport, while the other was a cyan-haired man with hands covering his face.
"Heh, this will be entertaining." Izuku said to himself.
After that, it was settled that Iida was the class rep and Yaoyorozu the deputy.

.
'How were ordinary members of the press able to bypass our security systems? Someone else must have been behind this. Some villain actually managed to infiltrate our school. But was this purely a show of power or a declaration of war?' Principal Nezu thought.
