Within a radius of several dozen meters, the ground surged and rolled like waves under Morley's trident, crashing upward toward the descending Rorschach.
"What a strange ability,"
Rorschach muttered midair, flipping his body. A burst of dazzling lightning shot from his hand toward the incoming wave of soil.
BOOM!
The earth and stones, which had looked soft as bedding, suddenly exploded, scattering fragments in all directions like shrapnel.
That brief delay was all it took — the remaining three, Betty, Karasu, and Lindbergh, had already closed in from three directions, forming a perfect triangular formation. Their attacks came in flawless coordination.
First to strike was Karasu, his entire body shrouded in black soot.
Expressionless, he spread his arms as if embracing the sky. Countless jet-black crows flapped their wings and flew out from within his body, swarming toward Rorschach.
"Karasu Coal!"
At the same time, a blast of freezing vapor fired from Lindbergh's cannon, locking onto Rorschach's back.
Betty, her leather jacket flaring open with her movement and revealing a breathtaking sight that stung Rorschach's eyes, lifted her right foot — clad in red high heels — and launched herself forward like a bullet, aiming a fierce kick at Rorschach's face.
Seeing the pair of long, slender legs exposed beneath her pink miniskirt, Rorschach couldn't help but twitch the corner of his mouth.
"Wearing something like that into battle… is that really okay?"
Then his grin widened.
"Domain Expansion — 100 Million Volts! Thunderclap!"
Raising his right hand high like a pillar supporting the sky, bolts of thick lightning burst from his palm, shooting outward from his body in every direction toward the three attackers.
At the same time, the air within several hundred meters seemed stirred by an invisible giant hand. Under Rorschach's left-hand grasp, it turned into unseen chains that shot upward and coiled tightly around the airborne Betty.
The swarming crows were struck by lightning, exploding midair into clouds of black ash.
Lindbergh's frost blast detonated along with his cannon, the electric current surging into his body. His fur bristled, and his muscles spasmed uncontrollably as though seizing.
Rorschach yanked on the invisible chains and slammed the bound Betty into the ground.
"Crash!"
The earth rippled like a trampoline, rebounding her upward and flinging her high into the air.
Crows flew to her aid, slicing through the unseen air chains with razor-sharp wings, freeing her.
RUMBLE!
The ground beneath Rorschach shook violently, a massive shadow rising to engulf him.
He turned — just in time to see the twelve-meter-tall Morley thrusting her enormous trident toward him.
A thick layer of Armament Haki coated the weapon, exuding a weighty, overwhelming presence.
This giant — Morley — was the first Rorschach had ever seen wielding Armament Haki.
Not daring to underestimate her, Rorschach clenched his right hand into a fist, black Haki coiling around it.
"Fist Bone: Meteor!"
CLANG!
Fist met trident, sparks bursting from the clash.
Rorschach grunted as he was hurled backward like a baseball struck by a bat — actually sent flying by Morley's raw power.
Morley herself staggered two steps back, muscles rippling across her mountain-like body.
"What an incredibly strong young man," she murmured in mild surprise.
Then she stepped forward again, each stride shaking the ground as she swung her weapon down at him once more.
Meanwhile, Karasu and Lindbergh charged in from both sides.
Betty ran to the crater where Sabo lay and helped him up.
"With this lineup, I guess holding back isn't even possible anymore," Rorschach muttered, shaking his head as he ripped off his shirt and tossed it aside.
"Azure Scale Form!"
His muscles bulged and hardened, his body swelling upward until he stood over eight meters tall — a towering Qilin beastman.
The spiked tail behind him lashed out, smashing apart dozens of oncoming crows into drifting black dust.
An overwhelming storm-like aura burst from his body, making even Morley and the others pause.
BOOM!
Lightning exploded beneath his feet. As the ground shattered, his massive figure broke through the air, trailing a blur of blue light as he charged straight toward Lindbergh.
"Get out of the way, Lindbergh!" Karasu shouted.
"It's fine! Tonight's the full moon — once I see it and transform into my Sulong form, my power will increase severalfold!"
Lindbergh began to look up at the sky.
But Rorschach's speed far exceeded his expectations.
Before Lindbergh could even see the moon, pain exploded in his abdomen as a gigantic fist smashed into him. His small frame shot backward like a cannonball, skimming the ground as he crashed through several ruined buildings, wood and stone flying everywhere.
Karasu's eyes turned cold as he spread his wings and dove toward Rorschach like a massive black bird.
He thrust both hands toward the ground beneath Rorschach.
"Obsidian Coal Spikes!"
"Thud! Thud! Thud!"
From the ground beneath Rorschach, dozens of sharp, pitch-black coal spikes erupted upward like inverted stalactites, stabbing toward him.
Rorschach didn't dodge — he simply lifted one foot and stomped down.
RUMBLE!
The earth detonated beneath him like a buried explosive, shattering all the black spikes instantly.
Karasu, still midair and preparing another strike, froze when Rorschach's eyes gleamed coldly.
The Qilin's massive right hand reached forward and grasped at empty air.
Across ten meters of space, the air condensed into an invisible giant hand that clutched Karasu mid-flight and squeezed.
BANG!
Karasu's body exploded into ash, scattering across the air.
The coal dust drifted, then gathered again in the distance to reform his body.
"Violent boys really aren't my type," Morley said, her enormous trident sweeping down again.
Rorschach bared four fangs in a grin. The tendons in his right arm coiled taut as he launched another punch, just like before, straight into the tip of her trident.
CLANG!
A sharper, louder blast split the air.
Rorschach barely swayed, but Morley — massive as a hill — was actually lifted off her feet by the force. Her huge body flew backward, tracing a long arc through the air before crashing into the ground a hundred meters away.
Rorschach rolled his neck, bones cracking audibly, and smiled as he strode toward Sabo, who was rising from the pit.
Sabo's face was grim as he raised his hands in the stance of Dragon Claw Fist, ready to fight — but Betty stopped him.
A lit cigarette glowing between her lips, she didn't charge forward. Instead, she stood her ground, suddenly shouting in a clear, commanding voice as she raised her right hand high.
"Fight, my comrades! No matter what kind of enemy stands before us, together we will triumph!"
As her words rang out, Rorschach's powerful Observation Haki felt a strange ripple emanate from Betty's body — an invisible wave spreading outward.
Within that wave, Morley, Karasu, Lindbergh, and Sabo all flared with renewed vitality — their energy surging as though lit by torches, strength increasing by thirty to forty percent in an instant.
Even Rorschach was stunned.
"What the—?! A Courage Blessing? You're a support type!"
In the next instant, the aura around the five of them exploded.
Morley climbed out from the rubble, driving her trident into the ground as veins bulged across her massive arms. With a roar, she heaved upward.
RUMBLE!
The ground for hundreds of meters surged like a raging tide, wave after wave crashing toward Rorschach.
"Crash!"
The sky darkened as countless crows burst forth from Karasu's dissolving form, swarming like a black storm toward Rorschach.
Their wings gleamed like blades as they slashed at him.
"Karasu Soulstorm!"
In the distance, Lindbergh — who had been punched away — looked up at the round moon. His eyes turned blood-red, his body swelling with white fur sprouting wildly as a savage aura erupted from him.
In his Sulong form, Lindbergh dropped to all fours, a white blur charging toward Rorschach.
At the same time, Sabo and Betty also dashed forward.
In the blink of an eye, all five attacked Rorschach together.
"400 Million Volts — Thunder Pool!"
A flood of lightning burst from Rorschach's body, expanding outward like a tidal wave. Amplified by his deep-blue Armament Haki, it crashed into the oncoming five.
BOOM!
The chaotic energies exploded together. All five grunted, blood and breath surging violently.
The weaker two — Betty and Lindbergh — were flung backward, caught midair by Morley's massive hand.
Rorschach's massive form was blasted upward by the combined strike, hurtling hundreds of meters into the sky before falling toward the sea beyond the island.
"Whoosh!"
A gentle current rose from the sea, forming a massive hand that caught Rorschach's back and stopped his fall.
"Your growth rate far exceeds my expectations."
A gale whipped across the sea's surface, coalescing into a tall figure wearing a long cyan robe.
"I heard you wanted to see me. Don't tell me… you've finally decided to join us?"
