The Heavenly Demon is considered an extremely powerful existence within the Demon Realm.
Much like the status of a Celestial King in the Heaven Realm, the Heavenly Demon enjoys an equal status in the Demon Realm. However, due to the Demon Realm's order, high-ranking Heavenly Demons have complete power over life and death concerning lower-order demons.
Although, essentially, it's similar everywhere, at least in the Heaven Realm there are some rules to restrain you. No matter how high your cultivation or strong your power, you can't just kill indiscriminately, or someone will come to trouble you.
But in the Demon Realm, it's different. In the Demon Realm, high-ranking Heavenly Demons don't need any reason or excuse to kill lower-order demons.

It's simply because... they are stronger!
In the Demon Realm, this law of the jungle is more thorough and more blatant!
