Xiao Linye turned and saw her changing into slippers, his mouth lifting into a warm smile. "Working late again tonight?"
Ye Yuning nodded. "Mhm. What did you make for dinner? It smells delicious!"
The aroma of food greeted her the moment she opened the door, instantly dispelling her lingering dissatisfaction from working overtime. It also pushed thoughts of that aloof new CEO Xiao to the back of her mind.
Experiencing the warm, domestic atmosphere Xiao Linye created, she suddenly understood Tang Xi's impulsive decision to get married.
Xiao Linye replied, "Just some simple noodles."
He called them simple noodles, but when he served them, Ye Yuning was still amazed at how exquisitely he had prepared the ingredients. An egg rested atop the noodles, garnished with a couple of mint leaves and sliced cherry tomatoes. The bowl of noodles was presented so beautifully it could rival a dish from a five-star chef!
After one bite, Ye Yuning felt as though everything she'd eaten before couldn't be considered food, merely animal feed.
Xiao Linye asked, "How is it? Do you mind eating noodles?"
"Of course, I'm fine with noodles!" With a taste like this, how could she not be?
She glanced at Xiao Linye, who remained elegant even while eating noodles. He's more beautiful than most women! This made Ye Yuning unconsciously slow her own pace.
They ate leisurely. Noticing Ye Yuning had fallen silent again, Xiao Linye broke the slightly awkward atmosphere. "Would you have time to accompany me to a wedding banquet tomorrow?"

What a coincidence. She was also supposed to attend Ye Tong's wedding banquet tomorrow!
