Chapter 377 - Chapter 377: I’m jealous.

"What do you need?"

Upon seeing the elegant woman, Sora narrowed her lavender-colored eyes and asked in a suspicious tone. Erika, the elegant woman with a professional smile on her red lips, replied calmly while pulling out a luxurious business card to hand to Sora.

"I wanted us to talk for a moment about an incident that happened a while ago at Ayanami Mode, in which you were unfortunately a victim. I'm a lawyer specialized in these kinds of cases, and I'd like to hear your story and advise you a little."

"I'm sorry, you've got the wrong person." Sora replied in a cold tone as she took her brother's hand and then walked toward the hospital, leaving the woman with her hand outstretched.

"You don't have to worry about confidentiality agreements or commitments—it'll just be an informal chat."

Watching Sora's back with a dangerous light gleaming in her eyes, the woman spoke in a calm tone, but the beautiful young woman kept walking without looking back, as if she hadn't heard her.

Leaving the suspicious woman behind, Sora finally arrived at the hospital with her brother, and after sorting out a few things at the reception, she went up to her mother's room. Upon seeing her mother sitting on the hospital bed, looking out the open window while her long black hair waved gently in the wind, Sora felt a small lump form in her throat.

"Mom!!"

Daiki's excited shout finally snapped Sora out of her reverie, and she quickly set down the bag she was carrying on a nearby table. As her mother hugged her little brother with a huge smile, Sora greeted her as she took a couple of apples from the bag and began to cut them with a smile.

"How did you wake up this morning, Mom?"

"Very well. Honestly, I hadn't felt this good in many years. Every day that passes, I feel better. The doctor even told me they might discharge me this very week."

The beautiful woman, visibly recovered, commented from the bed in a soft voice. Sora's eyes widened in surprise, and she asked while swatting away her brother's sneaky hand that was trying to steal an apple.

"Really? Last time the doctor told us they wanted to keep you under observation for several weeks. What changed?"

"The doctor told me they've spent a lot examining me and haven't found a single clue as to how I was cured, so the hospital doesn't want to spend anymore, since they can't charge us for it." The beautiful woman smiled with a cheerful voice before adding in a more mischievous, youthful tone.

"He even told me there are some doctors who are starting to believe me that it was an angel who worked the miracle."

"Speaking of that, Mom…" Sora commented in a somewhat uncertain tone as she handed her a plate full of sliced apple. The beautiful woman quickly asked back with a warm smile.

"What do you want to ask me?"

Sora hesitated a couple more seconds, but finally ended up pulling out her phone, where she searched for a photo of a handsome young man with short black hair and bright blue eyes. After taking a deep breath, Sora showed the phone to her mother and asked nervously.

"Do you recognize this person?"

"What beautiful eyes…" The beautiful mother stared in admiration at the bright blue eyes of the young man in the photo and soon looked at her daughter to speak in a soft, moved voice.

"Those are the eyes of an angel…"

"More like those of a Demon King…"

Sora murmured with a somewhat strange smile on her face as she gazed at those deep blue eyes. Those eyes that she once saw as the pinnacle of arrogance, looking down on everyone from above, but which now, looking at them more closely, seemed more melancholic and distant than anything else.

Somehow, those eyes now seemed to tell her a story of loneliness and struggle—of a melancholic genius in a foreign, unknown world he didn't feel a part of. And the more she looked at them, the more she felt that the arrogance she had perceived before was nothing more than her own insecurities reflected in those blue mirrors that simply analyzed her with curiosity.

"Hello everyone, I apologize for the intrusion."

But as Sora got lost in those blue eyes, a female voice full of confidence and self-assurance echoed in the place, which made Sora frown and turn to look at the entrance. There, just as she expected, stood that sexy woman with reddish hair, two horns sprouting from her head and a tight black business suit. A woman who looked more like a demonic lawyer than anything else.

--Monday, August 31, 2172

After lunch, Momo glanced one last time at that pink-haired girl who wouldn't stop looking at her fiancé before taking him by the hand to pull him out of that workshop. Noticing that Momo was a little angry, Mei laughed nervously, while Mina, Kyoka, Nejire, and Melissa ran after her.

"Why didn't you tell me that woman was going to start working for you?"

In the hallway, Momo looked at Kai with anger and asked through her teeth. The cats, who were walking behind Kai, turned to look at Momo with an analytical light gleaming in their feline eyes. Meanwhile, Kai frowned and looked Momo in the eyes before answering in a calm voice, though visibly displeased.

"Of course you knew, I told you before the vacation."

Hearing Kai, Momo froze for a moment, not only remembering that Kai had indeed mentioned it in passing during a meal, but also because she knew him. Although Kai was quite accommodating with everyone in the family, he had very clear limits, and his pulse and voice didn't waver when it came to putting in their place anyone who crossed them; like her at that moment. After all, messing with Kai's workshop was like landing a punch in his face.

"…I'm jealous, she looks at you weird."

After a few moments, Momo finally admitted honestly with a resentful pout, knowing it was the only way she could keep Kai from getting angry. Just as Momo expected, Kai's furrowed brow relaxed, and he finally replied with an amused smile.

"What a jealous fiancée I got, haha. But there's nothing that can be done, sweetheart. Your husband is far too charming for women; it's something you'll have to learn to live with."

"You say that as if you could get used to something like that." Momo replied with an angry pout. At that instant, Kai took the black-haired beauty by the waist and pulled her close to him, then whispered intimately into her ear in a firm and dominant tone.

"But of course I couldn't get used to it; this beauty is mine alone, and no one else can even dream of looking at her too much if they value their own life. But that's your fault; who told you to get involved with a crazy, hypocritical, jealous, and possessive man like me?"

Without resisting for a single second, Momo immediately blushed in defeat. As she felt a hundred butterflies fluttering in her stomach and her heart racing, Momo looked at Kai and whispered in a shy voice while glancing at the girls behind them.

"Don't do that here, everyone's watching us."

Kai turned to look over his shoulder, and upon seeing Mina whistling and looking the other way along with the others, while Nejire gave a discreet thumbs-up, he smiled mischievously and turned back to Momo. Without warning, Kai kissed Momo passionately, and she, taken by surprise, could only close her eyes and respond while her face turned the color of a tomato.

Finally, after a few moments, Kai let go of the red-faced Momo and kept walking hand in hand with her with a calm, refreshing smile, so the others quickly followed him. For her part, Momo stayed staring at the floor, completely red, but after taking a couple of deep breaths, she was finally able to calm down and hold her head up high.

Just at that moment, the group reached the point where they had to say goodbye to Melissa and Nejire to go to their respective classrooms—the moment in which Nejire jumped to cling to Kai. Confused, Momo looked at Nejire and asked in a calmer voice.

"Aren't you going to class?"

"I'm not going, fufu." Nejire replied in a playful tone, looking like a mischievous little girl. Kai looked at Melissa and commented in a calm tone.

"Then we'll see you later, Melissa. I have to go to afternoon classes."

"Got it, then we'll see each other later." Melissa replied in a polite tone and everyone, including Nejire, said goodbye to her.

"Are you going to our classroom, Nejire-senpai?"

Upon arriving almost in front of Classroom 1-A and seeing Nejire still clinging to Kai, Mina couldn't help asking curiously. Nejire looked at Mina, and hugging Kai's arm tightly—to the point where it was buried deep between her enormous breasts—smiled smugly and replied cheerfully.

"Fufu, that's right! Today we're invited to Class 1-A!"

"We're?"

While Mina's eyebrow twitched subtly upon seeing Kai's arm against Nejire's breasts, Kyoka asked curiously as she also noticed the same thing, though more discreetly. Nejire nodded with a beautiful smile and was about to explain, but just at that moment, from the other side of the hallway, two young men turned the corner. One of them, tall, blond, and muscular, raised his hand in the air and waved with a brilliant smile.

"Hey guys, long time no see!"

"Togata-senpai!"

Mina, Kyoka, and Toru exclaimed in unison, then looked at the gloomy young man beside Mirio, who looked away with a dark expression. But at that moment, Aizawa appeared from behind and flung the classroom door open while commenting in his typical tired voice.

"Save the chatter for later, get in."

Behind the class podium, Aizawa waited for Kai, Momo, and the others to take their seats. Once everyone was in their places, Aizawa swept his gaze over everyone present before announcing in a firm voice, while Nejire, Mirio, and the gloomy young man stood off to one side, with Nejire waving her hand with a cheerful smile.

"Hello again. Since the internships are now imminent, today I decided to bring people who have experienced it firsthand and will tell you what the differences are between the work-studies you had before and the new internships." Aizawa made a small pause to point at Nejire and company and continued in a serious voice.

"They are the three third-years who stand at the top of UA's students. Also known as the Big Three." Aizawa made a small pause to look at the third-year students and commented in a calm voice.

"All right, can you introduce yourselves briefly?"

"Hi, hi!! Hado Nejire here! Long time no see!"

The instant Aizawa finished speaking, Nejire leapt forward and waved with a beautiful smile, then began jumping from one desk to another, greeting familiarly several students who came to the mansion to train. While Nejire moved between the desks, greeting people without letting anyone respond as always, Mirio stepped forward and commented with an enormous smile.

"Hello everyone, I'm Togata Mirio. Some of you I know me and others I don't, and from what I see on the faces of those I don't know me, you don't quite understand why you should listen to us, so… why don't you all fight me at once to find out?!"

"I want to fight too!!!"

Nejire chimed in, jumping and stretching her hand into the air as high as she could, looking quite adorable. Mirio laughed out loud before commenting cheerfully.

"It'll be another time! This time I'll do it!"

"Kai-chan! Togata's intimidating me!"

Hearing the reply, Nejire jumped into Kai's arms and exclaimed with crocodile tears on her beautiful face. While Momo let out an exasperated sigh, the students who didn't know Kai well opened their eyes in disbelief. Kai let out a sigh and looked at Mirio before commenting in a casual voice.

"Let her stretch a bit. In fact, this is a good opportunity to see whether they've gotten rusty; kick their butts in turns."

Kai's words sent a chill through everyone in the training group the moment in which Mirio exclaimed with an enormous smile.

"Hahaha, let's do that then!!"

"With that settled…" Kai commented as he pushed away Nejire, who wanted to sneak furtively into his lap, and turned to look at the gloomy guy before commenting in a casual voice.

"Amajiki Tamaki, isn't it?"

Hearing himself called, the gloomy young man turned to look at Kai with a dark, deep gaze, though trembling internally. Kai smiled calmly and spoke.

"Perfect. I heard from Mirio that you're quite good. Let's put it to the test, I like meeting talented people."

A short while later, the whole of Class A was in their uniforms in one of the training fields, facing Nejire, Mirio, and Tamaki, who also wore their P.E. uniforms. But while everyone prepared themselves mentally for the fight, Bakugo, with his typical hateful expression, began to study carefully the blue-haired beauty who kept following Kai with her gaze as he walked away with the cats on his shoulders.

Although he had seen some of the blue-haired girl's capabilities on television and the internet, and personally on I-Island, so he knew she was strong, he really didn't believe he was going to lose in a fight. But that arrogant bastard with the blue eyes had said he could "kick their butts," so it was better to be cautious.

After all, although that guy was an absolute monstrosity in his eyes, if there was one thing he couldn't deny, it was that he was strong—terrifyingly strong—and he didn't talk just to hear himself talk.

"All right, here I go!"

Just as Bakugo was psyching himself up and small explosions began to occur around his hands, Nejire jumped forward and exclaimed with a beautiful smile as she raised a hand in the air before simply disappearing as if she were a ghost.
