Baldwin's Mansion
Once he exited the shower, Blaze headed to his walk-in closet and faced his wardrobe, with a white towel draped around his waist.
After taking a minute to examine all the clothes, he picked a black turtleneck and placed it aside, matched it with black pants and Boston cap toe lace-up shoes, and completed his outfit by putting on a black trench coat and a gold Rolex watch on his wrist
As Blaze descended the stairs and walked into the hallway, he noticed Savannah coming into the mansion. He looked at his watch, then faced Savannah, who was approaching him. "You are early?" he inquired as she stood infront of him.
Confused, Savannah glanced at Blaze upon hearing the voice, uncertain of why he was standing so close. It seemed she had misplaced her sense of direction, and she said to him, "Good Morning," and realized that she had truly spaced out and was absorbed in her thoughts all the way to the mansion.
"Is there a problem?" Blaze repeated his question, noticing her lack of concentration and the tension she was exhibiting.
"No, everything's alright," and Savannah looked away from him, Blaze instinctively stepped closer, causing Savannah to retreat slightly, her eyes on him again at the sudden turn of events. "Lie," Blaze said, gazing into her eyes, as if he could truly understand her completely and could genuinely perceive her unclothed directly before him.
"I just sa-" she was cut off.
"I dislike it when you lie to me," Blaze stated, which was completely surprising for Savannah, though not for Blaze's assistant standing behind, who understood what his boss meant.
"What do you mean—" Blaze interrupted her once more. "What's troubling you, Savannah?" he continued. "Allow me to help you." These were the insightful words for Savannah
She had always been the one to assist and rescue others, yet she never realized that someone would come to her aid, someone who would express this to her, making the words feel like a dream. "Share with me, Savannah," he repeated, and the staring contest commenced. Silence prevailed as they simply gazed into each other's eyes, as if conveying messages in a language understood only by them.
"Honestly, I...," she paused abruptly. Blaze seemed calm while he waited for her to relax and articulate her thoughts, but Blaze wasn't a patient individual - he won't wait forever for someone to talk. In reality, he would prefer to depart because they had wasted time, and time is crucial to Blaze.
Nevertheless, he appeared completely different now.
"I needed to discuss something with you," she finally stated, and Blaze paused, believing she had additional thoughts to share. "It's about moving." As Savannah concluded her sentence, "Do I have any important tasks at work?" he abruptly inquired of his assistant.
While reviewing his boss's schedule on his iPad, Arthur remarked, "You only have a board meetings to attend today." Without wasting a moment, Blaze said to Savannah, "Let's head to my study," as he walked with her to his study room.
Arthur was astonished. His boss didn't reply, Arthur had to call off all of the meetings. He had put in enough time to understand what his boss desired and achieved it, complying with it in his boss's best interest.
They were both seated in Blaze's study, with Blaze on the single couch and Savannah on the other, fidgeting with her fingers and nervously looking down at her feet.
"Have some water," Blaze told her while offering her a glass. Savannah took the cup, had a sip, then set it back on the table to fiddle with her fingers once again. Blaze noticed it and watched Savannah but did not say anything, just watched her.
"I want to reside in this mansion," Savannha finally expressed after locking eyes with Blaze's hazel gaze for 2 minutes. At the moment Savannah spoke those words, a shift occurred in Blaze's gaze, an expression that was beyond interpretation or understanding, "Okay, I'll take care of everything for you." Savannah's eyes sparkled with surprise, "Are you truly fine with this?" she inquired. "Wouldn't it feel awkward for me to be present?" Prior to speaking, he leaned in closer to Savannah and-
"Believe me Savannah, I'm quite at ease with you being here," he nearly whispered to her, Savannah, already feeling guilty about everything, failed to grasp Blaze's words.
"I'm truly sorry, but I have no other choice now, I know you understand this." Blaze smiled at her once again
"Savannah?" he called her name in a way that compelled Savannah to focus solely on him, "Savannah, I will strive to make sure you never feel regret again." Offering her a smile he had never shown before.
Savannah's Apartment
"Mom, where are we going?" Theo questioned Savannah while she was in the kitchen organizing items in the box for their relocation. "You'll find out tomorrow, sweetheart." Theo, who set up anime toys on the floor, asked once more, "Is it a surprise?" She paused and looked at him.
"No, I don't think you'll like it," she said, resuming her task, "Regardless, we're relocating; we have no option."
Indeed, today marks the final day of the deadline, so irrespective of what occurs, they are required to leave and empty the premises. It doesn't matter if Savannah secures a place to live or remains homeless, as she still hasn't found even one option for them, and no one has extended an offer for her to move in, which she still finds odd, or perhaps it's a test of faith.
She will never forget what Mrs. King did to her, she never imagined it in her lifetime.
Savannah acknowledges that residing in the mansion will be advantageous for her, yet she believes the inhabitants will be troublesome. Nonetheless, she is proceeding with no options available.
"Come on, Theo, speed it up! We need to wake up early tomorrow," Savannah remarked while glancing at the clock in the living room that had just struck 1 AM.
Theo responded, "Sure, Mom, as you wish."
Savannah believes that tomorrow can serve as a fresh start for them.
