Rambo became very happy that finally, he got the permission to go out and play with the other species. He hugged his mom and dad and went on to play and mix with these new friends of his with full curiosity.
He looked around himself and saw that there were many groups which were playing together at a certain corner of the clearing there seemed to be a group in which there were a set of all different animals and they looked to be his age so he went towards them decisively without any second thought after all he was a lion cub so being brave was in his blood.
Rambo went to them and said: "Hello guys I am Rambo I am a lion cub. May I join your group."
The Owl kid said introducing himself: "Hi Rambo! I am Ajax."
The Leopard kid said: "Hi I am Makucha."
Another kid, who was a jungle cat came up and said: "Hi I am Jax, nice to meet you, Rambo."
Then there came a kid who was the son of a Hyena and introduced himself: "Hi I am Mutt."
There came a golden jackal which was very cute looking as it was the kid it said: "Hi I am Mackel. Nice to meet you, Rambo."
There was also an Indian Gray Mongoose who came up and introduced himself and said: "Hi! I am Neo. Nice to meet you, Rambo."
Then there was also a honey badger which introduced itself saying: "Hi I am Fuzzy. It's good to meet you Rambo."
Rambo greeted all his new friends and made up with them and then asked: "I can see everyone here is having so much fun why you guys are just idle and doing nothing."
Ajax the Owl who was the most intelligent among them said: "We were actually discussing why we all have gathered here at this point of time. Since it is the first time we are meeting here with each other across species. In normal circumstances we only play with our kind so we were just curious and came to know each other and wondered about the situation."
Rambo said smugly and told the insider information since he had already learnt this from his mother Lakshmi before and said: "I know why we all have gathered here. I have all the information which the grown ups had discussed. I will tell you the reason."
Rambo further said: "That's because our parents want to discuss among themselves about an important issue on How to safeguard ourselves from the poachers. Because nowadays there have been these new humans who have come to our jungle and like to hunt animals just for their fun."
Makucha the Leopard said: "What how dare those weak and puny humans do such a thing as to hunt only for their fun. My parents said that we only hunt for food and not to cause any pain. If I get those humans I will drink all their blood."
Neo the Indian Gray Mongoose said: "Ohh! What will happen if they capture us? I am very afraid."
Mutt the Hyena said: "Come on those weak and puny humans who could do nothing to us. Let's not discuss them anymore since we have got the privilege to be together this time. Let's play together."
Fuzzy the Honey badger said: "What should we play here?"
Jax the Jungle cat said: "I know we can play Hide and seek. That will be fun, what do you guys say?"
Rambo said: "Yes I think Hide and Seek is good, it will be fun. Let's play."
Makucha the Leopard said: "But who will be the seeker?"
When Makucha asked this question nobody wanted to be the seeker since everyone wanted to hide which was more fun.
Rambo asked: "Jax would you like to play seeker."
Jax said: "No, I want to hide."
Rambo then saw Fuzzy the Honey Badger who said: "I also do not want to be the seeker, choose someone else."
Then Rambo saw Mutt the Hyena and asked: "What about you Mutt would you like to be the seeker?"
Mutt also said: "Nah! I did rather hide. It is more fun."
Rambo then saw Makucha the leopard: "Makucha would you like to be the seeker?"
Makucha who had previously asked this question was now not able to accept the role of seeker and was hesitating since he did not want to be the seeker and wanted to hide instead which was more fun.
Seeing him acting this way Rambo understood that even Makucha did not want to play the seeker.
Rambo was a lion kid and since childhood he had seen his Dad who was the Leader of the Lion tribe and was also one of the leaders of this jungle court which was being held now. He had learned from his Dad that the leaders have to make sacrifices many times to keep the team bonding and show his leadership skills. So in the end he decided to be the Seeker himself.
Once he made the decision he decisively said to his group with authority: "Okay guys I have decided to be the seeker this time around. However, after every round the seeker has to change and then you have to decide who is going to be the next seeker and eventually everyone has to become the seeker so that all have an equal chance to play their game."
Everyone agreed with Rambo as they accepted Rambo as their Leader in their mind as an understanding and then the game started.
