Chapter 8 - Toys

Kasel

'Do you know your mistake?' I asked maintaining my calm trying hard to control my strength since didn't want to break my toy. Morgan was struggling hard to free his neck from my grip. The rest of his lackeys were knelling behind him none stupid enough to lift their eyes to me. Despite my calm tone I was extremely angry. Currently I was in one of the shabby places the miscreants of this realm call a palace. This place was plain terrible but I wasn't here to site see. I put some more strength onto my grip and he squirmed more, honestly it was funny how he started turning purple.

'Your squeezing too much' A fair voice sounded form the throne behind me. I turned and looked at the beauty who sat there, She had a sexy build, huge shapely breast and a slim waist, too bad she wasn't my type. I threw the man away as if he was just a paper and stated walking to her throne.

'In case you forgot, were not here to fondle these people.' she didn't bother looking up to me. 'Speaking of which, where are your rats?, this place is staring to rub a layer of dirt on me'

'Unlike you, I don't just use force to get everything done' She leaned back exposing her flat tummy and slender waist. She never bothered wearing a lot of clothes. She's formally married and has children yet I've seen her naked so many time I no longer have a reaction to her.

'And?' I asked impatiently as the guy I tossed away crawled back to his position and knelt.

'Today they meet with your guy, I wont deny the resemblance but are you sure were not targeting the wrong person?' She asked and I almost couldn't resist the urge to punch her.

'We have his head, yet he still draws breath. Do you think we have the wrong person?!' I had sat at a couch next to the throne.

'What about his...companion?' the halls temperature immediately dropped. 'Sorry I asked' She added quickly after noticing the change. 'Either way, he took the bait, the necklace is in his hands now. We should head back too, we've been here for long enough' She turned her red eyes to me and seemed to remember something. 'Its your daughters birthday soon right?' I nodded and she smiled. 'We could use such a day to our advantage' I now understood where she was going with this.

'I don't like it' I stated as I looked at her. 'We could put a bounty on his head at the tavern, let these ants deal with their own'

'And what will you be offering this time?' She smiled. 'Immortality? Sight? Power? wo...'

'Money' I cut her off. 'And a wish' She turned her seductive gaze away and looked at Morgan and his people who'd knelt before us and at the head they had presented. She sighed.

'This would be easy if we were allowed to make a move ourselves' She mumbled but I heard her. 'Since they brought you a head, you should reward them' she might say this to appear benevolent before them but I knew she wouldn't hesitate to invent a new way to torture them to death. She was a sadistic witch and I wanted her to stay way from my toys.

'No' I answered flatly. 'I asked for a life. I am sure they will do better next time' I directed the last part to them. They were trembling under my gaze. I wanted to watch more but I had other things to do but the fools didn't answer immediately so I let my aura leak a little bit and they started falling like leaves.

'We will not fail' Morgan weakly said as he lowered his head even more.

'Good. Leave.' They woke up and bowed many time on their way out. they dragged their fallen men with them as well.

'Has Grey made his move yet?' I asked and she nodded her head. 'Make sure the bounty gets to the tavern' I stood up to leave after the men had walked out.

'Have you ever regrated you decisions?' She asked as I got to the door, I turned to look at her. I still had my mask so she couldn't see my face. I fixed my coat turned to leave after she pursed her lips shut. I stepped into the shadows. My time was running out. The era seemed young but I could tell, it was shifting too fast and it was all because of a single mortal who possessed a power that should have been dead. I found myself clenching my fist. instead of going home I turned and walked back. I had to make sure he died before my daughters birthday. I stepped out of a place I had neglected for long. Keel's cliff.

Shin

I initiated a kiss unknowingly. I kissed her so easily it was like I had done this many times before. She closed her eyes and flowed along with the kiss. I was actually starving for her lips, we kept it going until we had to break for air, it was hard to fight the urge I was feeling for this girl I had meet a couple of days ago. I looked at her eyes and she was looking at me her mouth partly open tempting me even more. I opened the little cage I had for her and took a step back keeping distance between us.

'Shin?'

'Sorry I didn't know why I suddenly did that' I sincerely apologised. instead of getting angry, she tilted her head sideways in a cute manner and smiled, the same smile that kept on pulling me back to her lips.

'Why are you sorry?' I heard the playfulness in her voice and the urge came again forcefully this time but I managed to stay away from her. I was a king I had my dignity to maintain.

'I shouldn't have been forceful with you my lady' I slightly bowed. She smiled again showing the whites of her teeth and the urge kept pilling up. She took a step to me and I took a step back. she laughed, a girly cute laugh that just stacked the urge more. I looked at my member afraid of doing something undignified and it was starting waking up. the urge mostly wanted me on her lips.

'We are engaged my lord, but of course if you want it, you should warn a lady first.' She seemed to know what her smile was doing to me. I took a step back and hit the wall she came closer and closer, she was practically already in my embrace.

'I want to thank my lord for clearing up the matter with Edith' she smiled sweetly and kissed me on my cheek. This simple gesture calmed down my heating up body. I froze and a tear traced down my cheek. Her small gesture got me tearing up and she noticed. She held my face and looked into my eyes I could see worry in them.

'They didn't hurt you a lot. Did they?' She was referring to the attack the last time they visited our home. That was what she was asking but this question, was a question I had seen many times when I held her and the same thing happened as with the maid. I saw her but not just her I saw too much my brain just couldn't remember it all. I only remembered small details like when she asked me the question I remembered something then immediately lost it.

'Shin?' She called when I took long to answer.

'No they couldn't even scratch me' I lied with a smile and I held her chin playfully. 'You said I could ask for a kiss whenever?' Her checks started changing colour to a darker shade. I was still new to using eyesight I still didn't know how to differentiate the different shades I saw. I was sure there were more colours but I could only see everything in one shade. She leaned forward and closed her eyes waiting for her kiss but I kissed her forehead instead. She opened her eyes and pouted. She held my face and tried taking it by force but I was stronger than her. As we continued struggling for my lips I remembered why I had brought her here.

'I need to know where you got this?' I showed her the necklace. it looked like worthless junk but I could feel the power emanating from it. it looked like rusted gold but the pattern engraved on it were still clear Two circles intertwined forming the infinity shape.

'I stole it.' She was still in my embrace. 'I killed two of her guards for it, it should be important I feel it, but I don't know what its for.' So she could also feel the power coming from it only in a different way. 'It may look like trash but all it needs is a good scrub' She walked from my embrace and leaned on the way next to me.

'Edith says its her lady's trinket but the symbol doesn't match with their ladies symbols.' she reached for the necklace. 'and to her it was junk until I took it then they showed some interest.' she turned to me. 'And on the day I took it, there were no guards around their property its as if...'

'As if they wanted you to take it?' I finished her sentence for her. 'I don't think its just a necklace, every time I look at it, I hear these ticking sounds. as if its a watch.' This was one of the reasons I took notice of this necklace, the other was that it had a residual aura of the people who attacked me. Hellan looked at the necklace then put it to her ear. This action triggered another part of the vision I had seen from her but again I lost it before I could understand it. This also reminded me that I could no longer feel Keel's power and the depressing feeling started taking over.

'Shin?' I turned to look at the beauty next to me. I had not yet taken the time to appreciate her beauty. she had a nice chest size, it wasn't as big as her sisters, it was the right size according to me, then her slim waist that I was already aware of. Her behind was also shapely, but her cute facial features are what attracted me the most about her.

'When did you start seeing?' Her question was casually asked. if it was anyone else I might have been tense. I had already known she knew I could now see, I mean she'd looked into my eyes a lot. It would be weird if she didn't notice.

'Yesterday' I answered casually. She smiled and walked into my embrace again. She started searching my eyes. she looked at them one after the other.

'They are beautiful' she muttered.

'I cant see a lot of colour now but I can confidently say your beautiful Lanny' I remembered her question during our dance and I whispered into her ears.

'We need to go back lest the others come find us' She looked away and I released from my embrace.

'Tomorrow morning you should meet me at the city gate, I need to see where you got this necklace from' something was not right with everything that has been happening. I needed to fix my connection with Keel before anyone notices I had lost my privilege as his first chosen. many would lose a pen or an earing I lost a freaking blessing, another part of my many mess-ups.

'Are you asking me for a date your majesty?' She smiled at me, that was the last straw I pulled her to me and she let out a playful scream. I planned to claim her lips again but then a guard had to turn this way and kill the mood.

'No, I need to know where this necklace really came from.' I wanted to explain more but I only had unproven theories I wished were just me overthinking. We asked for directions and we finally made our way back to the dinner table. I walked to my seat and Hellan walked to hers. The chatter died down when we walked in and everyone was looking at us, well except uncle. This is why I liked this man he didn't bother with anything that didn't bother him. I sat down and nonchalantly started eating my meal. it had gone a bit cold but still flavourful.

'Shin if I may' The emperor handed Adriel a sealed note and she opened it. 'On the night of your attack, Grey was called back to the north-eastern harbour, an unknown force had landed.' The people at the table had looks of concern.

'Have we made contact?' I asked.

'That's the thing, there is no one to make contact with, just like your attackers, they seamed to have vanished' Adriel put the letter on the table and sighed.

'Lets just hope they never show their faces' Her tone wasn't optimistic. I looked at Hellan and remembered grandma's words. This was war calling on our borders but unlike the Hamsfire continent or the far north, we didn't know where our attackers are. This was a bad time for war to be calling, I had to get back my blessing even if it meant losing my sight again.
