"Richard!"
Through the haze or unconsciousness, Richard heard his name being called.
For a moment, he felt like he was floating.
Something soft as cotton, soft as the clouds, wrapped around him gently like a mother's embrace.
Then there was a sudden change.
The soft force constricted around him.
Then he began to fall!
He let out a sharp gasp as he shot into an upright sitting position, his eyes bloodshot and wide open.
As first, his senses were clouded. Then they slowly returned to normal.
Breathing heavily, his gazed into the darkness. He could sense that he was a bit surrounded.
"I thought we lost him for a moment there." Someone said with a heavy, tired sigh.
"Gregory..." He said.
Richard frowned. This voice was weak, clearly not his own. However, he had no doubts that it had come from him.
A foxy chuckle came from the other side,
"Dear leader, you almost left us just now. Please don't be so reckless in the future." Umbra said with a sigh of relief.
