Rockstar Taco turned around, only to see the creature lift up a branch, preparing to stab Fomo Burger through the face. Luckily, Cool Burger had noticed at the same time and pulled out his glock. He shot down the creature, emptying out his clip on it. The tree creature crawled away wailing. "Thank you" Fomo Burger sighed out in relief. "Come on get up, we have a place to go" Cool Burger ordered.
The three of them continued to walk through the destroyed and abandoned Burgersville. "So this guy just pulled up and gave us this location to go to, without explaining anything?" asked Fomo Burger. "He said it was top secret or something, and that he couldn't be seen talking about it in a public area" Rockstar Taco replied. "Didn't look like anyone else was around though" Cool Burger added. "Yeah I don't know, I think he's got a screw loose or something" she said. Eventually, the group got to a small building sandwiched between two skyscrapers. "This is it" Cool Burger said as he double checked the note Wise Burger gave them. They all walked in, only to be greeted by a staircase going downwards. "Spooky…" Rockstar Taco whispered as she took the lead and walked downstairs. Cool Burger then followed her as Fomo Burger stumbled along last.
Once the three of them got to the bottom of the stairs they looked around the room they had entered. There were science experiments everywhere and documents pinned all over the walls. "What is this place…?" wondered Fomo Burger. The room was empty. There were no doors, just walls. Rockstar Taco went to inspect the documents on the walls. As she skimmed through them, she came across a familiar face. "Guys! Isn't that, you know who?" she exclaimed. Both Cool Burger and Fomo Burger walked over to look at what she had found. "No way…" Fomo Burger muttered. On the document there was a picture of Chicken Burger. Next to the picture there was some details that read TEST SUBJECT 042.
"Wait a minute, you're telling me that Chicken Burger is a test subject?" Fomo Burger questioned. "Looks like it" Cool Burger nonchalantly responded. "Wait look behind the document, I think I see more pages" Fomo Burger pointed out. Rockstar Taco then flipped Chicken Burger's document. The other documents had pictures of Quarter Pounder Burger and Crazy Burger with details that read TEST SUBJECT 023 and TEST SUBJECT 039. "So they were all test subjects then, interesting" said Cool Burger. Suddenly, they heard footsteps coming down the staircase.
Fomo Burger began to panic as the footsteps got closer. Cool Burger walked over to see who it was. It was Wise Burger, and he still had his mysterious cloak on. "So… you actually came" Wise Burger exclaimed. "Who are you?! I want answers now!" Rockstar Taco yelled. "Yeah, why are there pictures of those terrible Burgers down here?" Fomo Burger added. "Well you see, I operated on them, made them the monsters that they are" Wise Burger revealed. Cool Burger stayed quiet, clenching his fist. "Why on earth would we work with you then?" Rockstar Taco asked. "It's simple, I can give you all the information you need on the amulet" replied Wise Burger. "How can we trust you? Especially after you sent those Burgers after us" Fomo Burger stated. Wise Burger then let out a menacing chuckle. "I don't think you understand, I made the amulet you fool, the proof is all on the documents surrounding you" Wise Burger explained.
Fomo Burger quickly looked around the room. The more documents he looked at, the more sense it started to all make. He was in shock. "Cut to the chase then, how do we stop all this?" Rockstar Taco asked. "It's a long story, let me explain" Wise Burger responded.
30 years ago
A younger Wise Burger stood in his experiment room. He had a friend with him named Quiet Burger. "Alright Quiet Burger, this is my latest project" said Wise Burger "Imagine a new type of species on the planet, sounds impossible right? Well, i've found a way to make one". Quiet Burger stood in disbelief with one eyebrow raised. "Why do you need me then?" Quiet Burger asked. "It's a new experiment, safe for the most part" answered Wise Burger. Quiet Burger let out a sigh. "What do you want me to do now?" he asked. Wise Burger started to smile then pointed at his new container. "You will be in that container, and I will inject this new fluid I created into you which will turn you into this new species, but don't worry, after five minutes it should ware off and you should be normal again" explained Wise Burger. "I mean sure if it's safe… I have nothing to lose" Quiet Burger added.
Quiet Burger walked inside the container. Wise burger then sat next to his control panel. "Alright, ready in 3… 2… 1… go!" Wise Burger shouted as he pressed a button. The fluid then entered Quiet Burger's container and surrounded him. Black smoke filled the container, blocking Wise Burger's view on what was going on. The black smoke then cleared up. Quiet Burger had become a creature. Wise Burger stood in shock looking at the monster he created. The creature then started to bang on the glass, which then began to crack. In fear, Wise Burger tried to think of a solution. He then grabbed an open amulet he had and added a mysterious chemical inside of it. He had prepared for this incase it happened. The creature then began to get sucked into the amulet and let out a roar. In no more than ten seconds, the creature was inside of it and Wise Burger swiftly closed the amulet. "I'm sorry Quiet Burger, you will now be known as TEST SUBJECT 001".
25 years later
"Listen here TEST SUBJECT 042, I have spent your whole childhood and teenage years with you, I have full trust that you can hide this amulet away from everybody, do not let anyone find it" ordered Wise Burger. "I hate it when you call me TEST SUBJECT 042, but sure i'll get rid of your dumb amulet" Chicken Burger replied. "Good, and no matter what, keep it sealed" Wise Burger added.
Present day
"So that is what happened, basically you have released Quiet Bu-… sorry, you have released TEST SUBJECT 001, and there is nothing we can do about it" said Wise Burger. "That's crazy, now we at least know the truth" Rockstar Taco muttered as she nervously giggled. Cool Burger still had not said an entire word the whole time. "Hey Cool Burger, you good?" Fomo Burger asked. A tear then fell down Cool Burgers face. Fomo Burger went to grab Cool Burger's shoulder but then he quickly turned around, pulled out the pocket knife from Fomo Burger's pocket, and stabbed Fomo Burger in the shoulder.
