"That was so amazing! Ash is incredible, isn't he, Chuchu!" In the audience, watching Ash win, Yellow was so excited that she felt as if she had won the match herself.
"Pika-pika!"
"See, I told you! Even with a type disadvantage, Ash can still win!" Misty said with a confident smile. They were already quite familiar with this sort of thing.
"But how does he do it?" Yellow was still somewhat confused. After all, she was just starting out as a trainer and hadn't been traveling with Ash for very long.
"The disadvantages from type matchups can be overcome through hard work and skilled commands from the trainer. We only realized this after getting to know Ash."
Brock spoke up at that moment. Ash had taught him this very lesson the first time they met.
"Then Ash and his Pokémon must have gone through really intense training!"
Listening to Brock's words, Yellow didn't think this was something easy to accomplish. Instead, she understood that achieving something like this would require tremendous dedication and effort.
"Ash is so strong!"
On the other side of the arena, Green, who was gripping the guardrail with both hands, couldn't help but speak aloud. She also knew that this Krabby had been staying at Professor Oak's Laboratory ever since Ash caught it.
In just one month, they had developed such impressive coordination and battling ability. Their teamwork was remarkably strong.
"Hmph!" Silver made a noncommittal sound without saying anything more.
He maintained his usual aloof demeanor, but for some reason, even though this had been a completely one-sided match, watching the battle had gotten him just as excited as all the spectators around him.
"Alright! Now that competitor Ash has secured the first victory, what Pokémon will competitor Mandi send out to face him?"
The commentator's voice rang out again. Mandi's expression was serious now. He no longer dared to take Ash lightly, and he pulled out his second Poké Ball.
"The rest is up to you!"
Mandi threw the Poké Ball. The light shot directly into the water, and a blue figure emerged. It was a Pokémon with blue skin covered in sharp spines all over its body.
"It's Seadra!" In the audience, Misty looked at the Pokémon Mandi had sent out and recognized it immediately.
"It looks like our opponent is planning to settle this battle in the water!" Brock commented at the same time. In the first match, Mandi had prepared a Grass-type to counter Ash's water-types.
But after that strategy failed and Exeggutor was knocked into the water by Kingler, Mandi had apparently decided it was better to enter the water willingly rather than be forced into it. Brock could see through the strategy at a glance.
Seadra was the evolved form of Horsea, and its personality was just as aggressive as its appearance suggested. Compared to the gentle Horsea, Seadra had a very irritable temperament and was easily provoked.
"The second Pokémon sent out by competitor Mandi is Seadra, which is also a water-type! How will Seadra handle Kingler?"
Ash looked at Mandi standing across from him. Mandi's expression was tense, and he wasn't making any moves. Seeing this, Ash couldn't help but smile.

Seadra's figure darted forward while weaving left and right, continuously dodging the Water Gun attacks with ease.

Kingler followed Ash's orders and kept releasing bubbles. However, the bubbles were too slow to catch up with Seadra. Seadra easily avoided them with its quick movements.
"What's going on? Competitor Ash keeps having Kingler use Bubble, but it can't pose any threat to Seadra at all!"
Many people looked at the field with confusion, unable to understand what Ash was trying to accomplish. However, it didn't take long before they started to realize something was wrong.
"This kind of attack is pointless... Wait! This is—!" Mandi was about to dismiss the strategy, but the next moment his eyes widened in shock.
As the number of bubbles increased, the water's surface across the entire arena was soon covered with them. Seadra, which had been moving comfortably through the water with Agility, now found itself trapped in an increasingly small area.
"Your Seadra has nowhere left to escape! Water Gun!" Once Seadra was trapped, if it continued trying to move, it would quickly become stuck in the bubbles, and its vision would be impaired.
If Ash launched another attack now, Seadra wouldn't be able to dodge in any direction—front, back, left, or right.

Hearing Ash's command to Kingler, Mandi realized the danger too late. After receiving the order, Kingler launched itself upward once more. It raised its massive pincer again, and as its body fell, the power of Crabhammer struck the water's surface with devastating force.
CRASH! BOOM!
The overwhelming impact once again caused massive waves to surge across the water's surface. In an instant, the bubbles covering the water were swept away, and several whirlpools formed on the surface due to the impact of Crabhammer.
Powerful waterspouts formed beneath each whirlpool. Seadra, which had just dived underwater, was instantly caught up in these spinning vortexes. As a result, it made the same mistake as Exeggutor—trapped and unable to move properly in the water.
