"What do we do?" Samantha asked, feeling the weight of impossible choices pressing down on her. "Do we respond to them? Set up a meeting?"
"Not yet," Castellanos said, her detective's mind clearly several steps ahead. "Right now, we just watch. Document. Let them show us their hand." She pulled up another screen, showing a map with several locations highlighted in red. "I've got my team tracking physical locations of anyone showing unusual interest in your property. We've identified three vehicles that have driven past your house more than twice in the past hour."
"Three?" Callum's expression went dangerous, his dragon nature rising close to the surface. "Someone's doing surveillance. Right now."
"Multiple someones," Castellanos corrected grimly. "Different buyers, probably. Checking out the property. Seeing if it's feasible to just take the children instead of bidding."
"Over our dead bodies," Kai growled, his eyes flashing gold.
